Ticket from the first season in Washington, the only season the franchise was known as the Capital Bullets. On 3/10/74, they defeated the Golden State Warriors 117-107 behind 33 points from Phil Chenier and 30 points from Elvin Hayes; Rick Barry led the Warriors with 30 points. The Bullets finished second in the East, first in the Central Division that season with a 47-35 record but lost to their rival New York Knicks in a seven-game, conference semi-final series to open the playoffs. Bradley Beal: but you can call him #BigPanda, Bradley Bubble Wrap, Mr. La-ti-da Face, or Blue Magic (if you prefer to use the same moniker as a brand of heroin from Thailand a la the movie American Gangster) — just maybe don't talk about Beal's injury history when he gets conked in the head or something, 'cause his bones can tell when that, and the rain, is happening/will happen. #Wizards #WizardsMediaDay #TheFutureIsHow (at Verizon Center)

Tomas Satoransky: this dear, sweet, dunking young man from the Czech Republic has finally arrived stateside to pursue his NBA dream after the Wiz drafted him 32nd overall in 2012. He comes with mystery, hope—and baggage—having been associated with Jan Vesely, Ernie Grunfeld's track record, and the fact that he was drafted before Draymond Green, Jae Crowder, & Khris Middleton. Upward and onward, they say. #Wizards #NewWizards #WizardsMediaDay #CzechMates

Jason Smith: yea, I'd call him a 'dude'—his middle name is Victor & he's from Colorado (went to Colorado State U.). In Washington, at 30 years of age, he's set to begin his 9th NBA season for his 5th franchise. Fun Fact: he's never been traded during a season. Jason Victor is expected to generally be happy near the end of the bench, occasionally entering the game to pick-&-pop a 3-pointer and/or throw some 'bows (not necessarily at the same time but maybe). Dude. #Wizards #NewWizards #WizardsMediaDay #Portraits #Dudes (at Verizon Center)

Marcin Gortat: he had a good but trying 2015-16 season; his ego took some hits but Gortat always allows it to bounce back nicely. Still, competition at the 5 spot is breathing down his neck (Ian Mahinmi)—will Gortat make himself invaluable in late-game situations (maybe with a small ball lineup), or will he wither to a degree? Also: there's an eagle poking out from his jersey, ready to snatch Thor's hammer. #Wizards #WizardsMediaDay #Portraits (at Verizon Center)

Ian Mahinmi: he'll be the third-highest paid Wizard this season after Beal & Wall / the backup center / the team's best interior defender / potentially be charged with theft by Marcin Gortat for stealing minutes. #Wizards #NewWizards #WizardsMediaDay #Portraits (at Verizon Center)

Trey Burke: Will be starting for John Wall (recovering from knee surgery) at the point in Washington's first preseason game on Tuesday (10/4), joining a non-exclusive fraternity of Wall's backups since he entered the #NBA. #BlessUp to Ramon Sessions, Andre Miller, Kirk Heinrich, Shelvin Mack, Shaun Livingston, Mike Bibby, Eric Maynor, Jannero Pargo, and more if you count other randos & combo guards. #Wizards #NewWizards #WizardsMediaDay #Portraits (at Verizon Center)
