posts that say gale mansplains and/or call wyll "the token straight..." we did not play the same game.

a male character explaining things or talking animatedly about stuff he studies isn't inherently mansplaining. but that's more of a pet peeve to me. the "token straight (on thin ice)" moniker that often gets assigned to wyll is straight up frustrating

going to be blunt: it's a bi/panphobic antiBlack trend to call canonically bi or pan Black characters "the token straight" or otherwise insisting they're straight. why that character? why, in this case, the only Black companion/origin? why is that character straight.

also when people try to defend it as a "joke" because wyll is so "wholesome" is like...so you think being bi/pan isn't wholesome? you think being bi/pan is inherently "perverse" somehow? also independent of being bi/pan: you think being wholesome and kind means someone can't be kinky or horny? you think the sole Black male character is the only straight one out of the whole group. and he's "too vanilla" to be bi/pan? ok. digging your own bias grave deeper and deeper.
