“We came here based on the map published by the Israeli army,” he continues. “They told us to go to the Tal al-Sultan area, and here they are bombing us and bombing our food sources.” Nidal says that he and his family were sitting in their tent when they heard four missile strikes. He later learned that the missiles had directly hit the clinic, the water well, and the adjacent tents in which some food and cooking utensils were stored. Nidal and his neighbors in the displacement camp rushed to rescue the injured, but when he arrived, he was surprised by the horror before him. “We arrived at the place quickly, and the fire was still burning in the clinic and the neighboring tents. There were dozens of bodies and dead people, but we could not distinguish them from one another,” he says. “We did not know who had been burned. The bodies were completely disfigured and dismembered, and we were walking over the fire and the bodies in an attempt to get anyone out who was still alive.” Nidal insists that the bombs that targeted the encampment were not normal, but American-made weapons that “Israel is testing on Palestinian civilians in Gaza,” he says. “We did not find anything,” he adds. “There was nothing that would require bombing. All we found were dismembered children, charred bodies, and scattered organs. We put them in blankets and took them out.” “This is a terror zone. It isn’t a safe zone, as the Israeli army tells us,” Nidal says.

I was thinking earlier about this post in which Zionists were flabbergasted that I pointed out Israel’s "shoot to maim" policy, which has resulted in a generation on crutches in Gaza between 2018 and 2019.
Of course, Zionists were trying to paint this as a stand-alone policy for which Palestinians should be thankful Israel isn’t killing but disabling Palestinians instead.
But here’s the thing: Israel’s policy of "shoot to maim" can only be understood as an extension of Israel’s policies from throughout the years of breaking the bones of Palestinians, and I mean that in the literal sense.
How many of you are aware of Israel’s policy from the first Intifada of 1988, which was literally dubbed the "break their bones policy"?
This policy was initiated by then Israeli defence minister Yitzhak Rabin, who ordered and instructed Israeli soldiers to break the bones of Palestinian protestors with stones.
This was in 1988, over 35 years ago. Footage of Israeli soldiers capturing visibly unarmed, civilian protestors, hammering their elbows with bricks was broadcasted on TV screens everywhere. To this day I cannot unsee the gruesome footage, still etched in my mind as a stark example of Israel’s cruelty.
During the first Intifada, nearly 30,000 Palestinian children sustained injuries due to beatings alone.  And here we are, in 2024, where in Gaza alone, 10 children lose a limb every single day.
At this stage, you cannot view Israel’s terrorism as anything but connected; a continuance. All of these policies are connected by the same genocidal mindset of trying to break a people, both literally and figuratively, for decades on end.

so matt's absolutely giving scorched earth orders behind the scenes right. Not only are publically visible transfems dropping like flies, but every third person who musters up the audacity to comment negatively on Staff or Matt about this vanishes fucking instantly

This isn't the first time. Last year, the IDF would leave behind explosives disguised to look like toys (they did this in Lebanon as well)

Okay, so y'all know the phenomenon where American media companies say they can't produce queer stories because they'll just get censored in foreign markets? It's transparent as hell, because the dominant culture of the United States is still violently queerphobic, and in many cases, state queerphobia in other countries is the direct result of Christian imperialism. The US is not the enlightened gay haven in a world of evil homophobic foreigners, and trying to pretend that American media can't be too gay because it'll be censored overseas is asinine. We all know that, right?
Anyway, today I learned that there is an episode of the Australian cartoon Bluey that has been censored in the United States because it shows the dad character pretending to be pregnant and have a baby as part of a game of pretend. Disney refuses to air it on the Disney Channel or on Disney+. It has been made available on YouTube by the Australian rights holders.
So let's quit fucking pretending that Disney is actually scared of foreign censors, hm? The queerphobic censorship is coming from inside the House of Mouse, and it always has been.

Atp anyone who continues to say we need to vote for Biden after seeing 300 college students get mass arrested for peacefully protesting under his presidency doesn’t deserve the time of day. The fascist regime you were so worried about happening under Trump, the one you constantly fearmonger black and brown people with, happened en mass last night, under Joe Biden’s leadership.
What’re you gonna do now? What’re you gonna threaten us with? Free speech is no longer tolerated even if you go about it peacefully, but just being apart of a protest is enough to get you thrown into a jail cell. What’s your next move? How’re you gonna convince people Biden is the savior we need when he’s already shown he’s the embodiment of what you feared would happen under Trump.
What is your plan?

since moving here ive noticed europeans have no concept of how few americans ever leave USA. every american tourist youve met is of an economic crust that is vastly unobtainable to the other like. 85% generously. no matter what you have believed i can guarantee this. even getting to canada isnt really a possibility and the mexico-US border is highly controlled and militarized.
to put it into perspective. a ~2 hour flight from london to warsaw is like. 30 to 45 USD?
and a 2 hour flight from one US city to another would be about 130 USD
it was very cheap to fly here. i make over 100k USD now and i dont know if ill ever be able to afford leaving. if that gives you an idea of how prohibitive travel is here. i havent even touched on how the US has Zero guaranteed holidays by the govt. many people here go years without ever having an entire week off of work
this has had a like. massive impact on American Brain and they dont even know it because travel isnt even a consideration economically. they dont even know how much more vacation time european countries have guaranteed

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

i know it's a dumb and strange thing to ask, but could you explain the non aggression pact like in what it entailed etc.? Because so many people have been using it (on twitter especially) for the "fascist/Communist horseshoe theory" stick
Can't really say much more than what you'll find online or on any history book (I'm guessing you're talking about Molotov-Ribbentrop pact). The USSR signed the pact because of the tension on the border with Nazi Germany, to momentarely put aside the threat of a German invasion and prepare itself militarely. If anyone has any good reading on it, comment

The key problem with "proship vs anti" discourse is that the most extreme versions of each side, the ones who actually bother to identify with these labels, accepted each others worst takes as arguments they had to debate. "Fiction =/= reality" is, in practice, an absurdly reductionist, anti-intellectual, thought-terminating-cliche that dictates we can learn nothing about a person via art and that their fiction reflects no political or moral messaging worthy of critique. In response to this, the "puriteens" who are too young to possibly hope to articulate their discomfort, to untangle their position from what is often real trauma experienced online, simply argue "yes, fiction influences and reflects reality in a 1 to 1 capacity." They, and people who want to use the groundwork they laid to make bad-faith callouts, make bad arguments about how the action of engaging in problematic fiction is on equal ground to real life abuse, or is a clear indicator of interest in real life abuse. Both of these arguments are terrible, but each side seems to radicalize the other further and further into their own brands of anti-intellectual reactionary belief. "Proshippers" become libertarian absolutists about free speech and view all transgression as righteous and alternative and therefore leftist. They gain a reactionary nostalgia for the past, desiring a time when people didn't seem to care about the implications of art. "Antis" become authoritarian and hypervigilant for signs of moral decay, at their worst, willing to align themselves with government bodies that offer carceral solutions to the debate. They are willing to use harassment as a tool of punishment, which then leads to false accusations and a fear of openness that puts people at risk of being triggered via obfuscation.
I will say that I believe both of these movements are equally sensitive to co-opting by right-wing forces. We see the authoritarian tendencies of anti culture in harassment campaigns and even the way Republican law makers co-opt "grooming." The proship/fic crowd has such extreme nostalgia for the past that I often see people align themselves with the cultures of 4chan or other happily right-wing websites. They so heavily reject the idea that a drawn sexual depiction of a child could reflect any desire that they are disinterested in analyzing what the motivation behind the depiction is. i.e If we track the history of lolicon in Japan we do find that is, yes, countercultural, but that counter culture is right wing, very misogynistic, and defensive of patriarchial Japanese culture as it is and was including its culture around rape and abuse. Plenty of fictional content works as radicalization material, and radicalization material needs to be ambiguous. There is a valid reason to be hesitant to trust people who consume this content, even if I do not believe most of them will ever be dangerous towards children. The mere presence of sexuality is not enough to make a movement left wing. This kind of thing can again be seen in right-wing libertarian movements in the US. (And even leftist movements can be bigoted and even "pro-pedophilia" or otherwise disinterested in social reform around abuse.)
Is all content with elements of age-play this way? No. But to me, that is why kink media deserves to be treated as art and analyzed, critiqued, treated seriously. It doesn't have to do anything to anyone to be worthy of a moral critique. Said moral critique just doesn't warrant harassment and cruelty and reactionary exaggerations of the person consuming said content.
Anyway, what's my point in saying all this? I don't know. I'm just begging you to tag your God damn content with specific tags instead of random and nebulous shit like "dead dove" or "dark content", and also begging you to stop harassing people who do tag their content so I don't have to guess what "dead dove" and "dark content" mean. No one will erase incest kink fics or people who feel sickened by the idea of them off this earth because we aren't god, but we could at least all be responsible about tagging, flagging, and age-gating our stuff.
