Logic concert / Irving Plaza, New York / June 22, 2013
3 days late, but better late than never, eh?
The picture above is of my mama and I. It was her first rap concert, and I'm so happy to say that she had as much fun as I had. As we arrived quite late, the line for entry was wrapped around the corner and when we got in the main floor was so crowded that we either had to stand on the side and be squished or go to the way back. I've been to Irving Plaza before for a Hoodie Allen concert, and I remember seeing people upstairs along the balcony, so I went ahead and asked staff if we could go up. They said of course, and so we went up and upgraded to VIP for $25 each. As this was my mom's first concert, I happily paid the fee cause I wanted this show to be the best one. We had a great view, right in the middle with a perfect view of the first half of the crowd and the stage.
A guy named Quest (haha almost like A Tribe Called Quest.. but sadly not) opened up the show, and he was really good although I didn't enjoy his set too much. I couldn't hear him very well, either because he didn't annunciate his words enough or his flow was too fast.
Next was Skizzy Mars and can I just say I fucking LOVE Skizzy. I had already seen him live when he opened for G-Eazy, so I was thrilled when I learned he was touring with Logic as well. He previewed a new song called "Say La", and it's super catchy with a feel good vibe. His whole set was great and I think my mom liked him the most since his songs were very upbeat and fun. She especially liked "Douchebag".
Then of course, came Logic. He was just how I pictured him to be; his flow was just as smooth as it was on his records and when he wasn't rapping he just spoke to us of peace, love, and positivity. But he was also so fun and hilarious. He addressed us as "motherfuckers" and every time we all loved it. He told us how he was looking at us, like really looking at us and making eye contact because he reminisced when he'd be in the crowd just like us trying to make eye contact with the artist and be shouting in his head like, "look at me, motherfucker!" and he'd get it for 3 seconds but then realize the artist was just looking at the girl with the big tits that was right behind him haha. He also told us his story and still spoke with the upmost sanguine outlook on life. He told us how he couldn't have done it without his team and those who have supported him, and gave us all thanks. He's just such an amazing person and just as amazing a performer. If he's in your area, I would definitely recommend you go see him!
Btw, the crowd was awesome. The only other rap show that had such a cool crowd like Logic's was G-Eazy. There was no pushing, no fighting, and no drunk obnoxious girls as far as I could see and I had a birds eye view from the balcony. So, cheers to you, Ratt Pack / Bobby Soxers!

Spent the first day of summer swimming and tanning with friends and cleaning my room / house. I'm exhausted from everything and my skins burning a bit but nothing can ruin my mood. ☺
