We had a simlar situation with butterfly suddenly getting "fixed" after YEARS, without any notion from staff that it was ever broken to begin with. For all we knew, it was supposed to be different depending on dragon breeds, you know, kinda how Tundras often have some fun reverse color stuff going on. People were rightfully pissed when staff "fixed" the genes (at least they changed it back ...)

And now we get the same thing with flair on obelisks, which afaik no one even knew was broken?? Like HOW HARD is it for staff to just tell us that a gene is broken immediately? They did it with iri/shim (which they still haven't fixed, lol), why can't they do it with any other gene? Why do we still not have a thread telling us which genes are broken and which aren't? I'm not even affected by the flair "fix", but I'm still angry about it. This is ridiculous. It also makes me scared that there's other "fixes" on the way for genes we were never told were broken.

Wait, do people on Flight Rising who don’t know about this just assume that everybody with tons of dragons with all of their slots unlocked are just stinking rich or something?

The best, most freeing and most fucking euphoric moment of the Flight Rising Experience™, is the moment you find out that buying an apparel slot for one dragon unlocks that slot for all of your dragons.

So many people don’t know about this because the only ways you can find out is by:

1) buying a slot for a specific dragon and then going to another dragon’s profile and having a “holy shit” moment

2) hearing about it from other people by pure chance

No one ever talks about it. The site never clarifies that Yes, Buying A Slot Will Unlock It For All Your Dragons. You’re either lucky enough to find out early on after you create an account or you spend like 5 years not knowing about it.

Every so often there will be a thread in the forums by someone who bought their first apparel slot going “hey what the fuck that’s how that works?”, and all the comments are either “oh yeah that’s how that works!!” or “oh my god that’s how that works??”, and it’s absolutely fucking bonkers that this is how people find out about such a core part of flight rising.
