Vector Project: Character Designs
1. The first work that I did is an elf guardian of another planet. She has mother nature characteristics and she’s like the heart of the planet. While working on this piece I try to apply every detail from the sketch, same with the second piece. I added different shades to make her a little more 3-D, especially with the tree. I used the pen tool most of the time but I used the brush tool for the clouds and the grass below her fit. The clothing that she is wearing is supposed to be part of her which is why they look like leaves. I made the brushes watercolor for the leaves, same with the plant/flowers in the air.
2. The second work that I did is a female character in a sci-fi setting. Before sketching out her design, I came up with a background story behind it. The character works for a nanotechnology company that is working to inhabit another planet. The company gives nanobot pets to work with volunteers or trained soldiers to sweep the planet of troublesome species. The metal container next to her contains nanobot pet. I added line texture to anything that is supposed be metal. Like the ominous spacecraft in the background.
I will add or change the work to my description after this semester is over.
