thinking about bucktommy dads, Tommy waking up before everyone else to make breakfast for his family bc we know it's his thing. buck coming into the kitchen where tommys cooking, wrapping himself around him and giving him a good morning kiss. them just enjoying each other before their kids wake up and the house is filled with noise and chaos. whoever wakes up first at night when the baby cries does everything not to wake up the other, especially after a shift. Tommy being all silly and goofy while cooking/serving breakfast, making their toddler laugh. their kid going through a phase of only eating breakfast food and only if tommy makes it (they learn it the hard way when the kid has a sleepover at aunt Maddie's and refuses to eat bc they want their pancakes the way dad makes it). buck sitting at the kitchen table, coffee in one hand, a babbling infant in his arms, a toddler chattering away next to him when tommys done with cooking and sits down to join them. tommy looking at his family, his husband and children, still so awed that he gets to have this. breakfast as something tommy loves to do for people he loves and now he gets to cook for a whole family that's all his. he might tear up about it every single morning, and when his husband catches his eye he just gives him the biggest smile in the world.
