Okay, so I know I'm late so I think watch multiple episodes a day for a bit.. I've been busy with work amd dance tryouts. But! The TUAMRE25 has started up! So I'll be participating again and just doing little comments.

The Umbrella Academy Season 1 Episode 1

⚠️❗️Spoilers below the cut... is, its only the first episode, but I'll say it every time even if there are no spoilers, just in case.❗️⚠️ THERE ARE SEASON 4 SPOILERS, BEWARE

So it opens with "Vanya"'s (for the rest of this rewatch until I get to session 3 I will be referring to them as V and using they/them pronouns) mother giving birth. (Also, other than to be able to discern them, why are V's mom and the guy in different bright colors?) The first Hargreeves says is "Extraordinary!" Which is ironic in many ways.

If this is dumb and an "obviously, Ava, we all knew and saw that" just let me be. Cause I did NOT realize this until now. First time we see Allison. She's on a red carpet. The backdrop behind her says... Love on Loan. Like in season 4... the movies...

I had just assumed that that was just a movie she did that we didn't know, because we knew she was an actress, so like, sure, I'll go along with she was in Love on Loan and isn't in this timeline. But they connected it?? Wow.

That bank scene was pure gold. Funny. Ridiculous. I love Five. And then poor Ben... none of you signed up for anything...

Five's not wrong. It would make sense if he was smarter. Just saying.

His entire tone shifted. From being a cocky annoying a-hole to "Was it bad...?" And that's what I love about Five. Genuine care for his family.

Luther stomps off like a toddler after Diego throws the knife, ngl.

Klaus was pretty funny. He hated kids and had plenty of them. That was hilarious and it isn't appreciated enough.

I don't remember this show being so mysterious... 🤔

Not that anyone cares, but I was in the middle of complaining about how I couldn't get a job when I get a text asking to interview me. Wish me luck this Thursday morning!

Remember when I said I had a phone interview today? They didn't call. When I went on their website and eventually found out the reason. They emailed me back and said yeah, individual locations do their hiring. So you'll need to go in and ask about it. Like... part of the application process was setting up a time for a phone interview. Why have that if you're not going to do it in the first place? Stressed me out and pissed me off for no reason. Not working there.

In one day, Spencer goes back to work, has to immediately leave because his apartment is flooded because of his mom, the caretaker quits on him, he fights with his mom, gets a new caretaker, gets slapped by his mom only for her to later forget, his mom gets an hour of good and tells him he wanted to be a tightrope walker, and then she forgets him all while simultaneously researching sinkholes and constellations and hell for work.
