Born on January 29, 2001 in Daegu, South Korea, Janet (Kim Soojung) is the only child of Kim Seongho, a software developer, and Choi Kyungjin, a nurse. Both parents worked full time, and her mother’s schedule was especially unpredictable. As a result, Janet was a latchkey kid, usually if not always coming home from school to an empty house. “Spending all that time alone made me independent. I learned how to do a lot of things for myself at a young age.”

Academically, she was an average student, but she excelled in athletics and extracurriculars, enjoying various sports and hobbies. In middle school, while conspiring with friends on what to do for an upcoming talent show, Janet began to realize she had a passion for dance. “My bedroom became a little dance studio. I was always practicing and making up choreographies for my favorite songs.” Once she took up dancing, she never dropped it, growing her talent over the years. Realizing that her abilities might earn her a place in the k-pop industry, Janet auditioned for several companies, and she was eventually accepted to HoD in February 2021. Unfortunately, as the company directed the majority of their resources towards already existing projects, Janet endured a three-year training period with little discussion of a debut.

CURRENTLY, Janet is participating in the girl group survival show FRESH PRODUCE. She joined the show while searching for new opportunities in her career. “After three years of training with no debut, I felt like I had to do something. I’m really passionate about dance, and I know I’ve got the talent! I don’t want to waste any more time.”

lim yoonseo was born in seoul, south korea to a single mother as a result of a one night stand. she has no idea who her father is. yoonseo was a shy child, often ostracized and laughed at by her peers due to her lack of a father figure and her mother's clear lack of care towards her. the only solace yoonseo had was music, spending her days in the music store she walked by on her way home from school playing the instruments and listening to songs on the old record player the owner kept in the back. the owner of this store was the only person who truly treated yoonseo kindly, even gifting her an old vintage guitar of his he's had for years when she expressed interest in writing music. yoonseo has been an amateur songwriter and producer since she was 12, but it wasn't until she was 16 that she began posting her own original music and other various content under the pseudonym nightswithyoonseo on youtube and soundcloud. this would go under the radar until her cover of bts's house of cards would blow up in 2021, and she would skyrocket in fame. now, yoonseo continues to post on social media as a 'bedroom pop' artist while also studying medicine at university at the wishes of her mother.

REASON FOR JOINING — to hopefully take her from being an amateur online artist doing music as a hobby to become a full-time musician.

currently in her last year of university at ehwa woman's university doing medicine. / she's allergic to citrus fruits. / her youtube channel has ~2 million followers. / she actually has heterochromia, but her eyes are just two slightly different shades of brown, so it's not noticeable. / her fans online often compare her to a black cat, one who you can't really get close to without them running away. / if she actually had any romantic experience, she would probably consider herself aromantic. / she is quite good at impressions, specifically of minnie from g-idle, l.e from exid and bae suzy.

Manon Wang—born as Wang Zhuomi—was born in Toronto, Canada in 1999. She would move back to China to live with her aunt and uncle when she was ten, however, as her parents would often argue but we're too stubborn to file for divorce, living in misery and dragging Manon into it. When she was eight, her aunt Weixi would ask her what she wanted to do when she grew up, to which Manon responded she didn't know. So, for a period of time, Manon was put into numerous different after school clubs before settling on one—the dance club. She would spend every Friday attending dance lessons and going to the occasional dance competition, and would grow close to fellow student Blaise, the two even starting their own dance duo together. The duo, 'Synergy' would grow so popular not just in China but internationally that the two would be scouted by company Dearis in 2015.

REASON FOR JOINING — Manon joined Fresh Produce partially for fun, but also wanting to relive her survival show era and maybe—hopefully—make it into the final group.

Growing up in Incheon, South Korea with an Art Curator for a mom, Mirae quickly gained a love for the arts. Often tagging along with her mother to certain jobs and sitting off to the side, watching videos of performances. Caught up in the beauty of performing, she fell in love with it. With only her mother as a parental figure, she turned to her older sister for guidance and help in preparation to make her dream a reality. Despite the lack of resources and support, she began to teach herself various instruments and developed a powerful singing voice. Fueled by her determination and love for music, Mirae decided to audition for a popular K-pop survival show to chase her dreams. Alongside her undeniable talent, her backstory is a testament to her perseverance and the sacrifices she's made to get this far. With a burning desire to prove herself on the competitive stage, Mirae is ready to embrace the challenges and shine in pursuit of her K-pop dreams.

REASON FOR JOINING — Being as though Mirae had already been interested in being an idol and training under SM and SKY HIGH, when she heard about Mnet's new survival show she was hooked.

— Youngest of three. Her older sister, her older brother, and then her.

— She and her sister are very close. Her sister helped her a lot and supported her idol dream, while their mother was too busy to care. Mirae is also close with her brother, but he's busy in college, pursuing his dream of being in the film industry.

— Besides admiring Seulgi, Mirae also considers her older sister as her role model. Her sister helped her a lot growing up and took care of her ( + her brother ) when their mom was busy working.

hana was born in tokyo japan on the 1st of april 2004 alongside her sister hikaru. the two of them are the last born child of anna and joe yoshida and was their onky girls. hana has always been an overachiever and made sure to excel in everything that she does. she had various hobbies and interests and made sure she excelled in every one of them. despite the two being close and children hana and hikaru were compared a lot and due to hana’s high achievements hikaru developed resentment towards her sister and the two do not talk as much as they used to. her eldest brother was a fan of akb48 and would make the family watch performances all the time and that is where her love for performing started. after watching sakura go from akb48 to the kpop industry she decided she wanted to be an idol. her parents agreed to let her audition for hybe when she turned 18 (2022) and she auditioned the day after her birthday with heavy rotation by akb48.

REASON FOR JOINING — although she debuted in 2023 she already is overshadowed by other members and fades to the back despite being hugely talented. by participating in fresh produce she hopes to show everyone what she can offer and that she deserves to be the star she knows she is in her heart.

Born in 2000, Cho Michae was also born in Perth, Australia along with three other siblings. From a young age, it was clear Michae was going to have a career in music. She had always dreamed of playing an instrument and was exceptional at both singing and dancing. During her High School days, she was part of a popular band named ‘DAYDRUM’ where she was the lead guitarist and occasionally featured in the vocalist role.

A few years after the band was created, Michae realized that it just wasn’t for her and officially quit, still pursuing other interests and instruments in her spare time. In Winter of 2015, She was accepted into Melody Media and immediately placed in the trainee group In-Sync. She was later sent to participate in the M-net produced survival show, PRODUCE 101. Michae placed 14th overall in the show, she then debuted in Starcrush as the group’s main rapper & main dancer.

REASON FOR JOINING — Sunday was pushed by her members to join Fresh Produce to cover up a recent scandal Starcrush are still recovering from, which might help heal their public image and gain more traction.

- Sunday enjoys producing and choreographing for fun, she has also choreographed some of Starcrush’s major hits.

- In her free time, she reads books and writes lyrics that she keeps in her room.

- When she was younger, her dream was to be a nurse.

yeseul has born with her twin brother iseul and a big brother named baekjoon, mother got tulips for the birth of their only daughter, which got her nickname “tulip”. she has always loved dancing and performing and auditioned for companies. She got accepted to cube, jyp and yg, but due to the staff that got her candy, she chose source music.
