Living in a dystopia, would a small eutopia be a utopia?

On my short daily walks I come across a crate on an electric pole a remnant of some unknown use. I'd like to use this empty crate as a canvas/picture frame/frame for friends' and my own projects. It will be exposed to the changing weather and the moods of passersby, but will also wink and play between the public and private. It will be like drawing a straight line and following it, as La Monte Young recommended.

No jury, no returns.

Any (survived) material including photos of the process, site where they will be shown, etc. will be exhibited in a space in Thessaloniki, Greece  in autumn 2025

Ζώντας σε δυστοπία θα ήταν ουτοπία μία μικρή ευτοπία;

Στους μικρούς καθημερινούς μου περιπάτους συναντώ ένα τελάρο σε έναν στύλο ηλεκτρικού απομεινάρι κάποιας άγνωστης χρήσης. Θα ήθελα να χρησιμοποιήσω αυτό το άδειο τελάρο ως καμβά/εικονοστάσι/πλαίσιο για έργα φίλων και δικά μου. Θα είναι έκθετα στις αλλαγές του καιρού και στις διαθέσεις των περαστικών, αλλά θα κλείνει και το μάτι παίζοντας μεταξύ του δημόσιου και του ιδιωτικού. Θα είναι σαν να τραβάμε μια ίσια γραμμή και την ακολουθούμε, όπως συνιστούσε ο La Monte Young.

Xωρίς κριτική έργων, χωρίς επιστροφή τους.

Όλο το υλικό (που θα επιβίωσει), συμπεριλαμβανομένων των φωτογραφιών της διαδικασίας, του χώρου όπου θα παρουσιαστούν κ.λπ. θα εκτεθεί σε χώρο στη Θεσσαλονίκη το φθινόπωρο του 2025.

Ψηφιακά αρχεία των έργων θα αναρτηθούν στε μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης και στο tumblr. : turndystopiaintoeutopia

Ηχοτοπία και η μουσική γίνονται επίσης δεκτά. Ψηφιακά αρχεία (flac, wav) μπορούν να αποσταλούν στο nicolas.malevitsis@gmail.com.
