sometimes i stop and remember the fanfiction that lyric use to write in middle school. goin under a cut because child sexual abuse rape and incest both real and fictional.
the fic was called pray my soul to take and it was a next gen harry potter fanfic. it was from scorpius's pov and had a lot of graphic depictions of him being raped by draco. like there was at least one every chapter until the chapters where scorpius ran away.
at the time lyric had no idea why he was writing it or where the idea even came from. he would just share it with his roleplay friends at the time and they would eat it up and pitch in their ideas.
theres a lot of correlation between the treatment of scorpius by draco and the way lyric was treated by his brother (herein referred to as bastard). bastard was never as violent as draco but to someone trying to process their trauma it seemed the right step to take to keep themself distanced as to not have it all crash down on them (at least imo). especially someone so traumatized that they literally shattered into pieces. the draco of that fanfic is super out of character but hes practically exactly bastard and it took lyric a long time to realize that fact.
