i think you guys deserve an explanation?

as to why i said that i’d be back weeks ago and then............... didn’t return

it’s because my mental health has been (and still is) at an all time low, and writing just hasn’t been at the top of my list of things to put effort into. rp isn’t an escape for me like it used to be. sadly.

i plan to return eventually. i do. it may be soon. it may be in a month or two. but it will happen.

if you want to unfollow inactive blogs and i get to be one of them, i understand. if my return is later rather than sooner and you’re the type to go on unfollow sprees, drop a message in my inbox (or send an im). doesn’t matter what it says. a letter, a number, a message, whatever. when i come back, i’ll reply to it (privately) and we can follow one another again. please don’t be nervous about it. it’s just a means of keeping track of who wishes to actually interact when i’m up to snuff again. if you don’t plan to unfollow due to inactivity, don’t worry about all that.

frankly, they don’t understand the commando’s obsession with that non-sentient bullet spraying hunk of metal.

are they not an adequate killing machine?

they vow to do better. to make a morbid display so visceral and cataclysmic that axton will have to take notice.

zero almost misses what axton says next, lost in myriad daydreams.

they scoff at him—shaking their helm, knowing he can’t see their expression.

‘ we should drive axton/ save our stamina for drinks/ and other pursuits.’

they slip an innuendo into the restrictive five syllables, only half sarcastic.

"Other pursuits," he echoes in a murmur as he pulls the straps of his turret pack over his shoulders. What might those possibly be, he wonders? Rather than question it, Axton starts to venture in the direction of the nearest catch-a-ride.

"Can I just say," the commando begins his query as he turns around to walk backwards, keeping an eye behind them in a very nonsensical way, "that the decoy thing you do is cool as hell? And the sword. Don't get me started on the sword." He's got a hand on his own melee weapon; fingers wrapped around the handle of his tactical axe. A keepsake from his former life in the Dahl military. It’s always served him well. “Hands down, the best way to dismember someone that I’ve ever seen.” The cuts were always so clean, and he can appreciate that as much as the next guy. What’s cooler than watching someone monologue one moment, and then watching their head slowly slide off the next? Very few things.

When they eventually reach the vehicle station, he takes the liberty of digistructing an outrunner before offering Zer0 the choice between driving or manning the turret. Unless they want a vehicle to themself, of course.
