Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

One of the best games ever made. Really. How did they do it? FF7 Remake I found to be like.. alright. I didn't love it as a game. Combat was meh, it was insanely padded and not that fun of a game to play through. How did they then turn around and make something that in my opinion, somehow even surpasses the original FF7? The combat was insanely fun, and the amount of side content in this game blew me away. It took me 97 hours to beat this game. I'm still just in shock at how this game is what it is. This coming out only 4 years after the first one too?? And I swear they said in 2022 they were also simultaneously working on Part 3. I don't even think Part 3 can live up to the greatness of this, since it simply cannot have the same number of new stuff. Gold Saucer cant be new, all those minigames cant be new, which is fine. I genuinely think Rebirth will stand as the greatest in the trilogy, and deserves to be known as one of the greatest games of all time.

Persona 3 Reload

I played Persona 3 FES a few years ago. Right away, I loved it. I had all these issues with how Persona 5 handled its characters, its pacing, etc. I was even wanting something a bit darker out of P5. So Persona 3 was shocking for me, in a good way. An older game had none of those issues that I had with a sequel that came a decade later. The only thing that was really holding me back from saying I liked it over Persona 5 was the gameplay. And then, we got Persona 3 Reload.

It's everything I wanted. Its the Persona 3 I loved, with the gameplay of Persona 5 I preferred. I didn't expect it, but even Tartarus became addictive to play through. The new voice cast absolutely kills it. Persona 5 might have some more meat to it, but I still gotta say I love Persona 3 Reload more than that now. The only thing it really has over Reload for me at this point is the Palaces, but thats fine.

My only disappointment with this game isnt even the game itself, it's just that I was one achievement away from 100%ing it, I couldn't finish all the social links. Well, guess its time for New Game +

You can set "Grind Confirmation" to either

Press to opt out This will allow you to automatically attach to rails when midair unless you press the jump button mid-air (This is the new default)

Press to opt in This will allow you to always bypass rails unless you press the jump button mid-air to confirm you want to grind (This is how the original Sonic Riders handles this)

Both of these can be pressed at any time while mid-air, there is no timing involved.

This game is incredible. It's perfect. Anything I could say would just be how perfect everything is. Somewhere in my top 3 Xeno games, I still havent been able to decide.

It's just such a beautiful game.
