@depictedblue asked "[mouth]: sender pleasures receiver with their mouth."
kiara could feel her pulse in places she shouldn't – low in her stomach, between her legs, in the trembling of her thighs as they spread further apart. the air was warm but her skin was burning, slick with heat and sweat, her breaths shallow and sharp. she watched from beneath half-lidded eyes as cassie moved lower, lips brushing along her inner thigh, just barely skimming the skin that was already hypersensitive. she sucked in a breath when she felt a slow kiss pressed close – too close – the soft wet heat of it making her hips twitch upward despite herself. then nothing. just a pause. just breath, humid and maddening against her folds. “tease,” she whispered under her breath, a soft, frustrated laugh laced in the edge of it. but then a tongue – gentle, languid – slid through her, and her body reacted. her head fell back, her back arched, a low groan spiling from her lips like it had been waiting there all along. she didn't even try to hold it in. “fuck –” she gasped, hips rolling instinctively, “jesus…” every stroke was slow. measured. not rushed or frantic – not even close – and it was making her lose it. kiara's stomach fluttered, muscles clenching and relaxing in waves, and her hand slid down without thinking, fingers tangling in soft hair. not guiding. just holding on. her other hand reached up to her chest, palm splaying across her sternum as if she could anchor herself there. her heart was pounding beneath it. the next swipe of cassie's tongue was firmer, pressing in deeper, and kiara's moan came out broken – half breath, half sound. “don't stop,” she said, voice hoarse, breathless. “god, right there… stay there..” she could feel herself growing wetter – dripping, actually – and the realization made her whimper. “i'm already so fucking wet for you.” she muttered, voice low and shaking with disbelief.

@heyw4rds asked "sender suddenly pushes receiver out of danger's path."
the scent of scorched earth hit he before she even registered the danger. one second kiara was running – sand kicking up behind her sneakers, the heavy heat of midday pressing against her spine – and the next, a strong grip yanked her back, spun her sideways, and everything blurred. her shoulder slammed into the ground with a grunt, air whooshing out of her lungs like a deflated tire. pain flared sharp and bright along her ribs, but it was drowned out by the sickening crack of something solid hitting where she'd just been. a rusted atv barrelled past, unmanned, out of control, its tires carving deep, angry gouges into the dirt. it missed her by inches. for a few heartbeats, kiara couldn't move. dust coated her tongue, her lashes, the inside of her throat. she blinked up at the sky, pupils blown wide, her pulse pounding like tribal drums in her ears. the world had narrowed to the way her breath rattled, shallow and uneven, and the hand still clenched tight around her waist. pope's hand. “holy shit,” she exhaled, her voice hoarse and cracking. “that – what the hell was that?”
she pushed herself up on her elbows, her arm trembling under the effort. the ground still felt like it was shifting beneath her, but it was just the aftershock – the delayed comprehension of what almost happened. she looked over at pope, and her chest tightened. he looked rattled. there was dirt smeared across his cheekbone, and sweat beading along his brow, but his eyes were locked on hers – wide and urgent and completely unfazed by the chaos behind him. like the only thing he saw was her. “you pulled me back,” she said, more to herself than him. “you – jesus, pope.” her throat closed. she didn't know if she wanted to punch him or hug him, or both at once. “i didn't even see it coming,” she admitted, voice quieter now, raw at the edges. her fingers tightened reflexively around his. “if you hadn't been there…” she swallowed hard. no clever joke. no rebellious snark. just adrenaline, awe, and the gut-deep weight of almost.

kiara wasn't sure what had drawn her in first – the sound of cassie's breath catching, the delicate tremble in her fingers, or maybe the way the moonlight spilled across the other girl's cheekbones, softening her in a way kiara hadn't allowed herself to notice before. not like this. not until now. the kiss had surprised her too. one moment they were passing a joint between them, the haze of smoke and laughter clinging to their skin like summer heat, and the next – lips. real and warm and deliberate. not an accident. no way. it lingered. and kiara didn't pull back. she should have. maybe. but as cassie leaned in again, searching, hesitant but wanting, kiara's breath hitched and her fingers found their way to the other girl's waist, steadying them both in that fragile in-between moment. her heart was thudding in her ears, louder than the rustling leaves outside the window, louder than anything. cassie tasted like smoke, yes, but something sweeter lingered underneath it. strawberry, or maybe cherry chapstick she always wore when she wasn't thinking anyone was watching. kiara could feel cassie's nails curling into her scalp, dragging lightly at the roots of her hair, and it sent a shiver running straight down her spine. her own hands roamed slowly, uncertain at first, brushing along cassie's back until they found the curve of her shoulder blade – familiar from hugs and drunken side-leaning laughter, but this time entirely different.
her thoughts were a blur. she didn't think she was allowed to want this. not with cassie. not with one of her best friends. but god, did she want it. the softness of her mouth, the quiet sigh she gave when kiara kissed her back, the desperation in her fingers like maybe she was afraid she would vanish into nothing. kiara paused for half a second, forehead resting against cassie's, lips parted, breath shallow. “this doesn't feel like a mistake,” she whispered, voice hoarse and rough like gravel. she didn't mean to say it out loud. but it slipped through. she didn't pull away. she didn't want to. her eyes met cassie's – half-lidded, shimmering with something deep and quiet – and all kiara could feel was that same thing crawling under her skin. warmth. need. fear. hope. it didn't have to be labelled anything. not yet. but kiara knew one thing as sure as she knew the way the ocean felt just before a storm: she didn't regret it. not even a little.

kiara's lips pressed into a thin line, the weight of sarah's question lingering in the air between them. where would they go? it wasn't like they had a concrete plan – hell, they didn't even have a map. but something in her chest stirred, the part of her that refused to be caged, the part of her that had always pushed boundaries even when the world tried to shove her back in place. she leaned forward, elbows resting on her knees, their hands still clasped between them. the familiar buzz of adrenaline, quiet but insistent, began humming beneath her skin. this was the same feeling she got before sneaking out to the boneyard, before every reckless decision that somehow made her feel more alive. that wild streak her parents had tried so hard to break – it was still there. it always would be. “we figure it out when we're out,” she finally said, her voice soft but certain. “we don't need every step planned right now. we just need the first one.”
her eyes flicked towards the small, reinforced window in the corner of the dorm. it didn't show much – just a sliver of sky – but it was enough. enough to remind her that the world was still out there. that kitty hawk wasn't the end of the line. “i'm not saying it's gonna be easy. but i'd rather take my chances out there, sleeping under a bridge or hitching rides with strangers, than rot away in here while they wait for us to become versions of ourselves that don't even exist.” she turned back to sarah, the fire in her gaze matching the tension in her clenched jaw. “we're not broken, sarah. we're not crazy. we're just not what they want us to be – and that scares the hell out of them.” a small, humorless laugh escaped her lips. “let's give them something to be scared of.”
she sighed as she looked over at her friend, knowing how much she was right. she hated how kie was right, she knew how their parents were and the fact that they thought this place was going to make them all better. if anything, she felt sort of resentful towards her father and rose. she knew her nor kie deserved to be in this place, they weren't bad kids. " that's not us though.. we're not those kinds of daughters. we're not even bad enough to even be in this place. she squeezes kie's hand as she felt her grab hers. " i feel like we can get out of here, i mean we've been through enough as it is so i think we can. just question is, where are we going to go if we do get out?" she asks, trying to come up with a way to get the two of them out of this terrible place.

kiara shifted slightly on the bed, her fingers curling into the blanket as sarah's words sank in. we don't deserve to be here. god, she knew that. she felt that in her bones. every second spent in that cold, clinical place chipped away at the fire inside her. and yet, hearing it out loud from sarah – hearing her friend confirm what kiara had been silently screaming in her own head – ignited something that had been flickering dangerously low. her brown eyes lifted to meet sarah's, tired but still fierce beneath the weight of betrayal and isolation. “we don't,” she said, her voice hoarse from hours of silence but steady. “this place… it's not about helping us. it's about making us quiet. easy. the kind of daughters they can put in a box with a bow and show off at dinner parties.” she shook her head, jaw clenching as she glanced around the room – the whitewashed walls, the identical bunks, the lifeless air that hung like a shroud. it was so far from the life she knew, the one where freedom came with ocean air and greasy takeout on the bach with people who saw her. not this. not this prison dressed up like a reform school.
kiara drew in a breath, grounding herself in the present, in sarah's presence. if nothing else, they had each other now. “we're getting out of here,” she murmured with more conviction. “i don't know how yet, but i'm not letting this place break me. and i'm sure as hell not letting it break you either.” her hand reached for sarah's, a rare show of vulnerability from someone who guarded her emotions like they were sacred. “they thought separating us would fix us. joke's on them – we're stronger together.”
she frowned as she looked at her best friend, she knew the two's parents were always a handful and all but to do this to them. the only semi plus was they were together but they were also stuck here too. she didn't understand why they had been sent here, maybe they were a handful but you don't just send your children off just like that. she sighed before walking over and sitting on the bed beside her. " i can't believe they actually went through with it." she whispers. she knew her dad and kie's parents had talked about sending them away but for them to actually do it surprised her. " i'm glad i have you here but we need to get out of here kie.. we can't stay here, we don't deserve to be here.''
