the thing about sasuke is that the massacre isn’t the worst thing to ever happened to him just because his family got murdered, but also about the one who did it. sasuke could easily fit the "character that has his family killed by some random bad guys" but no! the person who does it its his brother!! the brother he looks up!! the closest person in his life!!! the one who betrays him its the one he loves more than anyone else in the world!! and its so sick because now sasuke feels like all their memories are a lie and yet its so easy for itachi to manipulate him and make his own demise the entire focus of sasuke's life because the sad reality is that hes still all sasuke has left of his family, even if all that love gets twisted into hate now he cant help but cling completely at that. which is why when he finds out the true its not even hard for sasuke's opinion of itachi to switch so quickly and shove all the hate aside and welcome again all the love he has tried to erase
