WELL! Hardly posted anything on this blog and am already posting a defense!

Because learning that my ex is ....calling me a groomer, on this very website, was definitely something! I will not be @ ing my ex, but I will make it clear that I am identified as 'Mind', 'M' and 'Autumn' to them—side note, please don't call me ANY of the above names, with a C00lkidd themed profile. They're somewhat active in rping with those ask accounts I believe? I did a quick search of their account after learning from a friend that they'd been saying some nasty stuff about me. I don't mean to stalk them, I just wanted to know what she had said.

They have accused me of being a groomer in a few posts.

I will not deny the fact I was not the greatest partner, but I did not intend to hurt her in ANY way.

She confessed to me straight after she helped me out of an abusive relationship and since I was desperate, I got with her. I should've taken time to heal, I didn't truly want to get with her, but I was so incredibly desperate. I hadn't been able to make any friends and she was all I had. I was also struggling through family issues. My mental state was VERY bad and I was in no condition to date someone.

She is a clingy person, I am not. I need space and time to myself. After she expressed distress with it, I told her something around the lines of 'I can't give you all the attention you need, we can break up if you want', she said she didnt want to. I tried my best to make more time with her but I'm in high school with several siblings.

She would constantly talk shit about my siblings, pushing me away from my own family. She would talk about how she didn't want me having anyone else. I will admit, at the start of our relationship, I said some similar things but it was solely becuase I was terrified of losing the only person I had. She claimed I cut her off from her friends, she cut me off from mine. If I didn't dedicate all my time to her, she'd threaten to kill herself or the sort. It drained me even more to have her life on my shoulders.

My absolute FAVORITE event! The time I changed my pfp to a character she apparently liked and then she...threatened to cut herself over it!! Like what..and she talks about how SHE was afraid to say anything to me because she was 'scared of making me relapse'.

We we're mutually awful to eachother. I've been working on bettering myself and my behavior, I believe I've made some progress.

Now, onto the allegations that I groomed her?

"Grooming is a set of manipulative behaviors used by people who abuse. The goal of grooming is to gain access to their victims, coerce their victims into submitting to the abuse, and reduce the risk of being caught. ", this was the only definition I could find that didn't have sexual connotation. Because I couldn't have sexually groomed her. Our relationship was STRICTLY romantic. I do not desire, nor did I desire, a sexual relationship. I was still healing from the trauma of being sexually abused in multiple previous friendships. Grooming is a very deliberate behavior, as I said, I did not mean to hurt her. I was incredibly misguided on how relationships were supposed to work. I mirrored her behavior. I understand how many of my actions could have been abusive, but I did not mean for them to be that way. Therefore, I didn't groom them, grooming is done with intent to isolate and abuse the victim. In fact–I told them how they shouldn't have been cutting off all their friends. I didn't WANT them to isolate because I knew I couldn't handle someone's whole life on me

I'm 41🔄. I'm not some evil mastermind, I had a shitty childhood and shitty friendships. I have PTSD. You can't take a dog out of an abusive home and not expect it to be hostile.
