i rock myself from side to side as i listen to your uneven breaths , just the sound of your existence alone is enough to leave me intoxicated tonight , content even . These actions have almost made their way into my daily routine- rocking myself as i watch you fall asleep , count to 10 as i prepare myself for your total absence again , holding you at night wondering which planet you ran off to while i was out …..don’t you dare try to spare me…just Tell me that you won’t be coming back this time. tell me that you’re gone. you helped yourself to my body and opened me up at my legs so that you could finally see all of me. i was left questioning myself all night , not one answer came to me by morning but i found comfort in the fact that you were still kind of present- even as i knew you slept with her. she probably held you close that night. I bet it was a lot like this …Did she ever rock herself to peace as she watched you fade away ? you helped yourself to all that i would allow and you came crawling out of me begging me for even more. you manipulated your way inside me so you could try to make sense of my soul. you wouldn’t stop till you completed your work. i let you eat at my best parts , you devoured my flesh and soul . i guess you had too much. i guess i showed you too much. i guess i am too much.

i’ve spent days in the cold , your warmth has long abandoned me dear. tick tick tick tick - time passes me by again and im still right here listening to your breaths love , it never gets easier , but im finally able to accept what will be the end of us. i close my eyes as you start to dream , i wish it were all that simple for me. all the walls in this home scream your name , They remind me of all thats lost and im rocking again my love. i know that nights like these are starting to take a toll on me and i know that as soon as i wake up i’ll start to choke on it again. i like to focus on the things i KNOW . i know i’ll wake up ALONE tomorrow- regardless if your laying with me in our bed or not . i know that tomorrow will not be the magical day i’ve been dreaming about and it’s probably safe to say that i wont get swept off my feet anytime soon.
