HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY, STUDIO GHIBLI!!!

40 years ago, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki made animation history when they founded Studio Ghibli toge tuer following the financial and critical success of 1984’s Nausiciaa of the Wind. They both said that they wanted to bring forth a new gust of wind into the animation industry by naming their studio after an Italian name for a certain wind that sweeps through the Libyan Sahara -which is what Studio Ghibli has consistently been doing up to this day.

So here comes this lovingly-made tribute to my favorite animation studio-just in time to celebrate the 40 years that have passed ever since its founding.
