character solidifying ! / oh god please send me these.
2. Their mother? How do they think of her? What do they hate? Love? What influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?
whoo boy let me-----sit down for this one here we go. akali’s mother, even without her opinions of her, had a huge impact on her life. it wouldn’t be a stretch to say, that she is the entire reason akali is the way she is. akali has neutral feelings toward her mother. in a way, she is only an instructor to her, her mother did not want for akali to become attached to her, or become ruled by her emotions. she wanted her to be the perfect kinkou warrior, and, in that position, it didn’t matter what akali wanted, it was the destiny chosen for her. akali does look up to her, and miss her, but she barely takes any space in her brain.

character solidifying ! / oh god please send me these.
29. What is your character’s weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?
thank you for sending this in ! akali’s biggest weaknesses are her mental and emotional health, for sure, as well as her unwillingness to let go of the past, perhaps, it could be described as naivety. even though she knows it’s not right, she cant stop thinking about “what if”s and other idealistic thoughts. because of this, she can be easily persuaded if she is not careful.

character solidifying ! / oh god please send me these.
42. what does your character want most? what do they need really badly, compulsively? what are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?
thank you for the ask ! first off, i’d like to say that this is a very interesting question for akali, because, she does struggle with extreme identity issues, and is not interested in herself by nature. her job is to protect and do everything she can to ensure balance. her mother brought her up on these selfless beliefs, and she still abides by them. i think, essentially, she wants to feel satisfied. she wants to get at a place in her life where she knows exactly who she is, and all of her motivations are clear and concise. since she’s been isolated almost entirely, she feels very empty and unmotivated. she feels as if she is only doing the things she does because she is told to. and, i think this has to do with her wanting the friendship with zed and shen that she had when they were younger, and, being alone has given her plenty of time to think back on her past. i think that, if she were offered the option to live freely and feel completely and utterly satisfied, there isn’t anything she wouldn’t give up. i don’t think she is above abandoning her morals in her current state. earlier in her life, she wouldn’t even think about it, but, she has no emotional ties to the kinkou any longer.
43. Does your character have any secrets? If so, are they holding them back?
cue laughtrack. yes. akali doesn’t speak often, and, when she does, it is very blunt and precise. she does not like saying or doing things with no significance. (she also....has no one to talk to :) haha). but, she does have closeted desires, mostly relating to zed and shen, as she would do anything to have the relationship the three had when they were kids. overall, she really needs to stop ignoring her feelings.
50. What are the prevailing facial expressions? Sour? Cheerful? Dominating?
!!! i love this question but akali makes it so uninteresting aaaaaa she usually keeps a very emotionless expression, her eyes are half-lidded, and her mouth is in a slight frown. she hardly smiles, her eyebrows will furrow when she’s thinking, though.
