Has Tumblr upped its game yet?

After the downfall of Twitter, Tumblr tried to be a replacement social network, but it doesn't feel the same. Now that Facebook (once again) is doing shitty things, Tumblr has another opportunity. I love Tumblr, but it lacks the community feel in my opinion. I'd love to see Tumblr take over, but it just feels disconnected. Maybe that's OK? I don't know.

Halloween 2023

Lily always likes vising my parent’s farm because she gets to do things she doesn’t usually get to do. Of course, Lily found a kitten. I ran two miles today!

This is right up there with that one time I touched my toes a few months back. I’ve also been doing pull-ups for moths now, and I’m up to five-ish! I guess you could say I’m getting in shape. You should see how quickly I can demolish this bag of chocolates now.

Our cat Griffin seems to like Legos.

Etihier Griffin likes Legos, or he’s jealous of them. Every time we sit down to build something, he comes and joins us. Usually sitting right on top of the pieces we need. He’s even tried to eat a few before. He’s a strange cat.

Tumblr or WordPress.com?

I love the idea of Tumblr, but I'm not feeling the love. Maybe what I do here would be better suited for a WordPress.com blog. Or maybe I just need to stick to my main WordPress site.

It's always fun to visit Tumblr, but I never seem to be able to stick around long.

Please Put Rules Around New Accounts

I know this isn't as simple as it sounds, but why can't there be rules around new accounts?

If your account is less than a day old, you can only follow 10 people, then slowly increase that limit each following day.

Or, rate limit people, so they can't just follow everyone.

Or review profiles, and if your site is called Untitled, then you can't follow people.

I know the scammers will just figure out a way around these things, but all I get is spam requests, which makes me sad. What is being done to slow them down?

Sadly, I probably only see 1 out of ever 1000 spammers in the system, so things are working, but it surprises me how spammers can continue to do whatever they want on platforms and no one can figure out how to stop them.
