i got fired on friday!! it's great they also canned like 2 other queers at the same time

so a relatively new employee at work got written up for… missing a few days because her grandma was critically ill and she’s the only one that can take take care of her

after the manager previously said it’d be okay

he’s also yelled at the entire team for not meeting deadlines he never told us about, and decided to move us all to a new ‘cubicalless’ work area so he can micromanage us (which hasn’t come to fruition yet, but he keeps swearing it will) 

usually i feel like i’m being irrational and paranoid with my fears of getting fired but they’re seeming more and more concrete

he just treats us all with such palpable contempt for no fucking reason, he’s been our manager for all of a few weeks, he hasn’t been at this company a full 3 months yet

i’ve worked for some godawful people before and this guy is quickly making the top of my list. literally his only interactions with us are to occasionally swoop in and berate us for shit either out of our control or for shit that straight up isn’t true because he spends all this time with every other department instead of us, and they all whine about how we’re not suckin their dicks enough 

partially because, you know, there’s technically like 5 departments with hundreds of people working for them and like, 5 of us for the entire creative/development part of the marketing team

trying to work for people who are such utterly incompetent assholes grates me like little else does

anyway, my constant dread about work/school and stuff piling up is basically why i’m not around much nowadays
