The fact that Two and Gaty’s theme is called ‘Yourself’ actually means so much to me, I need you all to understand-

Two and Gaty, whether you see them as platonic or romantic, have a very special understanding of each other. Like, they kick it off almost immediately. They’re a bit awkward in the first episode and then have ONE conversation and become besties.

Two feel comfortable telling Gaty about their issues with identity and knowing what they ‘truly want to be,’ and she listens and relates to them and treats them like a friend.

Two cares about her a lot. Like too much. They’re kind of codependent on her, I think. As someone who struggles with codependency, that’s just how it reads to me.

When she disappeared, a part of Two’s identity disappeared too. She wasn’t just their best friend, she was their connection to the object world. She was the one who listened to them and gave them advice and related to them. And now that she’s gone, they aren’t just mourning, they are incomplete. They aren’t themself anymore, because she’s gone, and she’s the only person who made them feel real.
