Eleanor Greene played by Maggie Hart played by Kristen Stewart

Onscreen Eleanor (Ellie) Greene is the youngest of the Greene family. She has yet to be hardened by the world and it’s surroundings. Her family has a tendency of keeping secrets from her and she finds them out in the brutal ways of life. This includes not knowing about walkers in her family barn, a life changing secret about her birth, and more. On her journey, she becomes less filtered, tougher, and explores her interests she wasn’t able to before.

Offscreen Maggie Hart is a up and coming songwriter. She wrote songs for a variety of artists before being recruited to perform the soundtrack for The Walking Dead season 1. When the Greene family is casted, Maggie is cast as Ellie Greene whilst still performing the soundtrack for the television show in season 2.

Anna Kang played by Gayoung Choi played by Lee Hojung

Onscreen Anna is a citizen of Alexandria. She and her brother were found by Aaron and Eric and brought in. She is well put together and calculated on the decisions she makes. While she keeps a fair distance between herself and others, she lets her walls down when she meets Ellie Greene. She puts her upmost faith and trust in Maggie Rhee as her leader.

Offscreen Gayoung was a last minute addition to the cast. She went through multiple chemistry reads and training sessions to land the role of Anna Kang in The Walking Dead season 5. Since then, she has become a model and frequently works in the Korean film industry. She was taken under Angela Kang’s wing and is undergoing a degree in college to become a writer and producer.

Josh Kang played by David Kim played by Jeong Yunho

Onscreen Josh is the older brother of Anna Kang and member of Alexandria. He underwent training by Glenn Rhee and Aiden Monroe to become a runner. He is the muscle and backbone of his group when the fight with Negan and the Saviors begin.

Offscreen David is the son of Daniel Dae Kim and rising star. He grew up on the set of ‘LOST’ and wanted to do something like his father when growing up. David was recruited by Steven Yeun’s doing for season 5 of The Walking Dead.

Sakiko Otani played by Yuri Nakamura played by Nana Komatsu

Onscreen Sakiko is unapologetically herself and free willed. She is far less reserved than her twin brother, Nanami. Sakiko has a tendency to speak before thinking. She is considered a loose canon and that gets her into messes as much as it keeps her strong. She strikes up a friendship with Daryl Dixon when Daryl’s brother, Merle, buys drugs from her father.

Offscreen  is highly private. No one knows much about her personal life as she stays off most social media sites- allowing her manager to run her pages for her. In interviews, she is most likely to be seen hanging around Emily Kinney and Lauren Cohan. She was casted as Sakiko in season 1 of The Walking Dead.

Nanami Otani played by Haruto Kota played by Kento Yamazaki 

Onscreen Nanami keeps to himself and his sister. He carries many burdens, though most as put on by himself. He has a tendency to believe he is less deserving as a bad person and drown himself in self-hatred. When the world falls, he follows his twin sister’s lead and hopes Sakiko can make sense of what is going on. Though he is close to Daryl, Nanami connects more with Merle Dixon when they are both citizens of Woodbury.

Offscreen Haruto is a actor, model, spokesmen. After he got his big break in playing Nanami Otani on The Walking Dead since season 1, he has taken the world by storm. He is a leading force in Japanese media and is adored by worldwide fans.

Ryan Rhee played by Shuyang Hui played by Xiao Dejun

Onscreen Ryan is the step brother of Glenn Rhee. Glenn is his guardian when the world falls. He stays close to his big brother and the two are very close despite the initial age gap. Ryan is caring and tender, he has an optimistic side that he sticks true and strong to. He grows close to Sakiko Otani over time, hoping to break down the walls she built to guard herself.

Offscreen Shuyang is an overnight sensation from performing on a Chinese New Years variety show. He shot to fame and wanted to try his hand in acting. He starred in four television shows before being recruited during The Walking Dead pilot filming. He was meant to be a reoccurring character for season 1 only, but he was one of the biggest draws and people loved Ryan and his character.

Hana Rhee played by Miyeon Jung played by Go Minsi 

Onscreen Hana Rhee is the youngest of the Rhee family. Her older brother, Glenn, is her only company when she and her sister are left stranded in America during the outbreak. Hana is the youngest at the camp, but it makes matters even worse that she isn’t fluent in English. MAKNAE follows her story from landing in America until she meets her forever life. The road is long and hard, but Hana is a survivor through and through. 

Offscreen Miyeon Jung is a free spirited but hardworking up and coming actress. She was born in Minnesota, US and raised in Incheon, South Korea. Her favorite thing to do is acting and she takes pride in her work. She started out in small roles and plays around local theaters and commercials before getting a big break in The Walking Dead season 1. She plays Hana Rhee and enjoys the challenges that come up while playing on a dark show. She hopes to further her career and work in both America and South Korea. Her dream is to star in a lead role.

Taeyang Choi played by Hyunsu Lee played by Yoo Taeyang

Onscreen Taeyang is the sole survivor of his family. He was brought in by Tyreese and Sasha Williams near the beginning of the outbreak. He is momentarily considered to join the prison group until Rick Grimes kicks the group out. He then ends up in Woodbury with his group.

Offscreen Hyunsu was born in Busan, South Korea. He moved to Sacramento, California when pursuing his dream career in television and media. He joined a film school when he was fifteen before being recruited by Angela Kang to join The Walking Dead season 3. 

Daniel Rhee played by Riley Song played by Choi Yeonjun

Onscreen Daniel is the heart and soul of the group when he arrives.When the world initially falls, he and his brother are separated. He ends up being found by the Claimers group along with Jae. When Hana is in danger by the Claimers hands, Daniel is the one to put on an act to save her from a worse fate. Once he is a part of the group, he is the mood maker and rock that keeps them together when times are rough.

Offscreen Riley is a runner up on the X-Factor. He didn’t win, but he got lots of fame from the promotions. Greg Nicotero recruited him to The Walking Dead season 4 when one of Greg’s friends directed Riley’s music video. He is most like his onscreen character as he is always mentioned in interviews as being the spark the cast and crew need on tough filming days. 

Ben Rhee played by Donghyun Kang played by Choi Beomgyu

Onscreen Ben is the second youngest next to Hana. His older brother, Daniel, is his inspiration. When he is separated from Daniel, Ben is found by Abraham Ford and his group. He joins them on the road to D.C. in hopes of doing something better with his life than lying back and hoping others will protect him.

Offscreen Donghyun is the nephew of executive producer, Angela Kang. Initially, he was only meant to be in two episodes from season 4, but the writers ended up loving Ben’s character and the chemistry between him and the rest of the cast, namely Steven Yeun and Alexandra Breckenridge. 

Jae Park played by Minhyuck Gang played by Kim Youngkyun

Onscreen Jae shows a cold exterior. When his best friend, Ben, is lost and he and Daniel are found by the Claimers, he shuts down and won’t let anyone aside from Daniel in. When Hana is saved by Daniel, Jae is initially annoyed and tempered. His thoughts are on his own survival before anything else. He later becomes close to Daryl Dixon, forming a father-son relationship.

Offscreen Minhyuck starred in a drama opposite of Miyeon. When the drama was released, the crew of The Walking Dead adored he and Miyeon’s chemistry and wrote in a character specifically for him in season 4.
