aaahh last time i was in brighton there was a fantastic bookshop full of secondhand books that was quite literally just piles of books everywhere, shelves overflowing, books all over the floor, it was spellbinding. i've just found out the owner has passed away and the shop is closed now. very strange wave of mortality coming over me. he was so sweet, i remember him so well because he was so welcoming and spoke so gently and he seemed so at home there. as soon as i left the shop i was excited to go again within a year. rest in peace, lovely old man. you will never leave my memory...
