Mastery
Over the course of this month, I’ve created an adaptation from a past potential novel idea. This experience was unique in the sense that I felt like I was able to develop the story itself further than when I had started. That would be my main take away from this process so far. I knew the story I wanted to go with, but shortening the dialogue to fit within the panels definitely helped shape it to where I wanted it. The one thing I would for sure claim as my “Achilles’ heel,” would for sure be the page limitations from school. I had to crop the ending to where it could fit the page limitations and end on an equally climactic moment that doesn’t fall flat.
As for the rest of my work, the more I talk about it through this, the more I wish I could add onto it. Switching the roles of Peter Pan and Captain Hook feels refreshing but I feel like there needs to be more motivation for Captain Hook aside from two key portions that I do not wish to spoil for other people aside from my professor and peers if I choose to release it.

Convergence & Gamificiation
The first bit of convergence I found was that of Tetris hopping into my work environment. I worked at a distribution center for Carquest/Advance Auto Parts. It isn’t much, but that game alone makes picking orders to fill so much more fulfilling.

Amiibo collecting! While their initial purpose is video game related, I initially collected them as they are in-box. I didn’t have any video games to scan the figures into but I found joy in collecting. Once I acquired Super Smash Bros. for my 3DS, I scanned whatever I had in and made ridiculous AI fighting machines to train against!
Last but not least, I feel like Microsoft over the years has slowly gone further with attempting become an all-in-one with anything that has a Microsoft OS in it. After upgrading to Windows 10, I have voice-control with Cortana, and two different search bars (one with my PC’s information and the other informing me of any apps I have installed as well as current events.)

Branding #3
Chris O’Neill or OneyNG is a guy that skyrocketed to Newgrounds creating humorous mature cartoons. From his writing style, off-the-cuff humor on his current consistently updated channel (videos also edited by the SuperMega guys), content creation, and knowledge of animation has set up his brand to be widely recognized across the internet.

Branding #2
SuperMega (Matt Watson and Ryan Magee)
Two dudes who are carving out their own legacy and just like Idubbbz, anyone who is on the internet know very well who these guys are. Even though they’re mainly known as the guys who edit the GameGrump’s videos, they’ve established themselves as hilarious writers and “let’s players.”

Branding #1
Ian is a guy that has basically reached the pinnacle of “meme culture.” Anyone that is on Youtube that doesn’t watch strictly music videos or stupid vine compilations knows who Idubbbz is. From his comedic style, video editing, and his raunchy pseudo-intellectual persona when verbally destroying someone is what makes him one of the most popular people on the internet.

Class Posting
I'm glad I've taken this class because it is the first one upon returning back to Full Sail in the Grad school program where I felt like I genuinely learned something. The "one-hour" script format that has been taught to us over the course of this month for our webisode assignment has been extremely helpful and it's a format that I definitely needed to learn due to the fact that I want to eventually write for the WWE, and they have the longest running episodic TV shows in history with RAW and Smackdown. I'd personally like to thank Mr. Mark McKain for such an excellent course. I was able to learn and have fun, which is something that I haven't been able to do with coursework in quite sometime. I apologize for the short length in this post, but I've only been able to use my cellular device for today.

Visual Trigger #3: I drive past the building for our local newspaper pretty frequently and my mother has known people at their office so I feel like I could easily add periodicals or contribute to the local newspaper.

Visual Trigger #2: There are Product Knowledge modules everyone has to watch every month, and I feel that I could easily write the scripts for the products that we are supposed to learn about in a less-robotic way.

I have worked at the Toys R Us in Muncie for nearly 3 years. I’ve been part of the Stock Crew, basically ran the Electronics Department after the Manager went to pursue a better career, cashier, and I’ve done assembly work. I’ve done so more dangerous stuff than I care to admit. - Idea #1 - Just working in electronics for so long, I can and have begun to develop a couple concepts for video games. The trigger of course, being all of the most recent video games to serve as inspiration.

Fergal is a godsend and someone who I look up to in the business from a performer’s standpoint. Whenever you do anything in life that requires you to live up to your potential, “Don’t suck.”
