I do like how this turned out, I hope to apply what I've learned to other projects in the future ☺

Logo mock up I did for a friend, a chilling B.C. dj named Island Haze. I couldn't resist playing with all the colours 😊

While fufilling one of my new year's resolutions, being organized, I found this little piece hidding away. I remember drawing this years ago one evening in a random little notebook I found while trying to get away from a massively stressful situation at home. I'll save you the boring details, but you know that feeling of long term emotional insecurity caused by other people's outburts untill you become numb and litterally unable to take any more. That's where I was... and here I am now. Almost 25 and still growing everyday =)

From pencil sketch to completely finished took about 3 days. Would of been a hell of a lot easier with illustrator but I made it work with photoshop... I wanna do moar! =3 #artfrommyheart #2dart #tyrannosauruslexa

Something I've worked on for a while to practice with but had a hard time deciding where to go with it. I decided to clean it up and make it a complete piece finally, and as I worked it became clearer how this was going to come together and I ended up really liking it. I started coming up with other woman and flower/plant combinations and I hope to make time to develop those soon too. #digitalart #flowerspell #forestpriestess #spellcaster #treemagic #lexahart #tyrannosauruslexa #artfromtheheart #ineedtopostmoreart

So tumblr has been something of a nightmare lately, I can't upload diddly squat unless it is through here. And i dont have a facebook at the moment, so maybe instagram was the place for my art all along! I don't know how I want to finish this painting, but I wanted to post a little something. I'll probably be going back and touching up a bunch of old art I never shared with anyone before in the near future. So stay tuned! #spaceart #spacelady #spacepainting #givemesomespace

These are the first two logos I ever did, about 4 years ago. It was a friend asking for some help making business cards for his business and I had 0 experience, but he told me exactly what he wanted and after a couple of samples we settled on a design he liked. He was so pleased he asked if I could do another one for him for his other business and I was happy to help! It didn’t take long and he paid me for my work, but the whole process felt so natural, it never felt like work. Looking back now, of course I should of made this with illustrator and there’s imperfections but knowing all I know now and how much I didn’t know then, I’m kind bewildered. Who would of thought I’d be this far now!

I don't normally think to share these practice sheets but they are fun to do. They aren't all great, I like the bottom left personally. I was switching up the fluffiness and bulkiness in some areas, mostly tiger qualities, some have more bear or wolf. But it's a Sabre tooth so naturally it's going to be different, bigger, more hairy, I was going by skeletons, fossils and stuff. And Wow, very large jaw. They could open their mouth super wide, your head would fit in there no problem. What a beast! I love learning while I draw ☺

Sabre tooth tiger head I haven't shared much lately, I have unfinished projects right now but I wanted to get some pencil time for a moment. I drew this up while watching ice age documentaries. I almost decided not to finish because there's so many more animals I want to do now, I love prehistoric especially! But I shouldn't start things without following them though, that's something I'm working. And so here it is! Did it in one evening! I did add 2 colour filters, however I drew on plain white paper. #tyrannosauruslexa #animalsketch #artfrommyheart

It's been almost a year already since the Shambhala Tshirt design contest. My representation of the village stage was liked enough to put on a shirt, get me on the village set up crew and now I'll be part of the art team this upcoming year. I'm so stoked! It changed a lot of my life, seeing my design put a smile on a persons face, filled me with stupendous joy. It made me want to use my art to make people happy. I feel like a lucky streak started after this event in my life, things have been coming together like magic at times. But it doesn't mean I'll stop working hard towards my goals. This is only the beginning and im not fooling myself into thinking it gets easier but damn, it's so nice to finally have something absolutely positive to look back on. #shambhala #shambhalamusicfestival #tyrannosauruslexa #tshirtart

Just so it is clear, my perspective in this piece is skewed on purpose. I wanted to try bend some structures like how your vision will warp lines that extend away from you. I love the way glass buildings catch the sunlight in my city, really beautiful, even photographs don’t do it justice so, this was my attempt at recreating it.

My dream office space. Where am I you might ask? Walking my dog, because I would love to bring my puppy to work with me everyday if I could!

Telling myself something is finished has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to learn to accept. I always see more I could fix and make better, more I should add, but if I don’t let my work reach a point where I can breath in a moment of completion then I’m not letting myself feel the full satisfaction of growth I can achieve from each individual piece. I’ll remake this one day, better and more extravagant, I know this. For now though I can say this design feel whole, as do I.
