jay lifted his gaze from his phone to my eyes while i kept myself with confidence, but it was all a façade.

he smirked and walked until he was in front of me, in that exact moment is when my confidence disolved.

“date, hm?” he asked with a playful tone.

i couldn’t look at him at all, he was oozing with confidence.

“i asked you something” jay lifted my head with two fingers on my chin, and that’s when i saw his sparkly eyes.

“yes” i zoned out while looking at the new galaxy he was showing me with his chocolate brown eyes.

the smirk was replaced with a soft smile and crouched until he was on my eye level height.

“i do want too, but i’m scared” he started talking and i could feel my heart breaking “i’m scared of losing you, hurting you or whatever else”

“jay you won’t do that, ever” i spoke with a soft tone “but i’m also scared, i’m not used to commitment”

he smiled again.

“let’s keep it like this and when we’re both ready, we will do things official, okay?” jay patted my head.

i couldn’t help but pout because behind all of that fear was excitement to be with him.

“you don’t like that?” he asked worried.

“oh, is not that, is just that i wanted to be with you and…” my gaze changed to my lap, i couldn’t keep looking at his eyes.

“i understand baby, we can take things slow if you want” he spoke with the same soft tone.

“if you want to too, then yes” i kept playing with his fingers that were on my lap.

“of course i want princess” butterflies were flying on my stomach and i did like the feeling.

after that, it was all silence, i could hear our hearts beating at an abnormal speed.

i laughed softly and wrapped my arms on his neck, giving jay a warm hug.

nothing was said after but we knew we just did the best thing for both.
