maybe this is my #liberalSJW woke mind virus tumblrina moment but i can't help but be disappointed anytime there's official homestuck art for something and all the characters have the "conventional/mainstream" design choices. you know, tiny noses, straight hair, skinny waists, etc. and not 2 say that any of these past artists have been skilled or untalented, it just comes across as incredibly bland to me, and my eyes glaze over. like, looking at the requiem art from this year, at least jane is fat? yay?

maybe it's because i'm not over witnessing the disturbing amount of backlash people had to roxy's pesterquest sprites all the way back in 2020, or the way a whitewashed redraw of that sprite was referenced for the requiem art in 2023, or any other bigoted response people have had whenever official art has deviated from the "norm" in terms of racial coding or making a character fat or "conventionally unattractive" or whatever. because god forbid one of these teenagers not look like a barbie doll from the 80s

It's ouuuuuut!!!! I was lucky enough to be a part of the Sweet Rave Party² project, organised by the lovely @eldritchdraaks and @buzzingroyalty! I had such a blast, I learned so much about my art and met so many lovely people. Here's all my frames!
