Hey guys! It's been a while. I am very much alive, lol. I want to start posting here again, and I thought I would over the summer after I graduated Highschool (yay me) but with all the new changes and now a job, it's been hard to dress up and make / look for content to post. I miss posting. I know I dont really get personal on here, but I thought I'd say something. If any of you are interested in following me on something else, my Instagram is the same as my tumblr. hey i was the one who last sent u an anon, and I saw someone saying it sounded condescending, so i just wanted to say i didn't mean it. it may have sounded like i was trying to test the poser-waters (which is stupid) but i relate to you myself as i also like the two eras and subculture! couldve been better to remove the "mall goth and goth are different" , but at the time i was thinking to put that for others who may stumble across the question and get confused, but i ended up sounding like i thought i was teaching some new information. which obviously duh i wasn't, anyone who's into 90s mall goth, like you, is pretty much aware of the distinction. so I'm sorry if I came across as a self-righteous "poser"-detector with nothing better to do

when you say youve been in the goth scene for 5 years, do you mean mall goth or the subculture centered on gothic rock? those are both different, mall goth is not a part of the goth scene :]

Okay, so I know these are different, but to be more specific, for about 3 years I've been in the mall goth scene. 2 the goth rock centered scene. Ive actually been flip flopping between the two for a long time I used to just call myself just goth and that was it but I've found I prefer 90s and Mall Goth I have some pics from my "i must look like Siouxsie Sioux or i will die" phase but in short I love both the scenes I've just found I prefer Mall Goth and yeah I knew they were different sorry for the confusion jehdhwhhdh

HANLOOO! So, I'm not mall goth but I love the vibe of the subculture! I has a question though :0 So, I'm a Christian and I often see symbols of satanism in the subculture which makes uncomfortable, was just wondering, is that inherit 2 the subculture? (As in, you HAVE to be a satanist to be mall goth) or can I just avoid that side when researching the subculture?

Nah bruh you can be anything you want. Mall Goth i guess was always more about embracing shock value atleast back in the 90s. So a lot of people do use satanic imagery as more of an aesthetic...I personally am not a satanist and I've never met a Mall Goth that is. However I do know some are. But in short no you don't have to be a satanist to be a mall goth lol.
