“Ho, ho, ho!” *shoots a death ray* I hope you all make it to Christmas alive! (For reals, though, be safe out there! Too many people in a rush and aren’t watching the road!) This is the Santa Beholder I made for the one shot I ran last week. Mini: Wizkids Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures Beholder with mini Santa hat and fur plush material found at Hobby Lobby.
Last week I covered these areas on the facade of my dollhouse with handpainted cardstock faux bricks. Applying 2 coats of matt acrylic varnish and letting it dry.
Today I filled the joints between the bricks. I used the same readymade plaster paste I used for 3D painting; for this brickwork filler I added some black paint.
Step 1: applying the brickwork filler.
Step 2: carefully rubbing with a damp cloth.
Endresult (still wet and shiny).
Next photo: brickwork on top is just faux bricks, without filler; below brickwork is finished. Looking good!!
Realistic looking faux brickwork. I had so much fun making this!
Just so u bastards know…
My average would be around $150 USD. It may be more if it’s a full boot paint job, or less for a smaller job project that takes less time. Shipping costs 23 dollars average within the US, not sure about overseas.
I paint new and used boots, you just gotta get them to me. You can literally mail them in a shoe box I think– but if you send me new ones the shipping on shoe sites is usually free, and comes with a shoe box and a sturdy outer box.
pics in case anyone reblogs, but i just felt like sharing I offer this.
I will not recreate someone else’s design on a boot for you. I generally am looking to make a design only for you. I can make exceptions for cosplay purposes though.
I paint with angelus paints, they are flexible, weatherproof and long-lasting.
anyway, tysm and if you’re interested feel free to message me or email me at [email protected] 💖
