I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again if Dabi dies not only will it just hurt, what kind of message will that even send??
that’s why I truly think this will be a story of Shoto being able to prove he’s a true hero and save Touya cause otherwise… what? Abuse victim dies cause he was too far gone while abuser gets to live out full redemption while his other abuse victim still has to live out the pain of seeing his brother he tried to save die twice? I sure hope not

dni if you: run a discord server, own printed fanfiction, are in a relationship, question your sexuality and/or gender, gave your dog a people name, call strangers babe or sweetheart, grew up in a shame-based christian religion, read fic for the plot, can recite whole monologues from lord of the rings, like music from artists with under 2k monthly listens, take your tea with cream and sugar, could eat chicken fingers five times a week, forget to eat breakfast, have bangs, drive stick, or don't understand international postage rates

How to Do Laundry Like A Goddamn Adult
So my first draft of this had some line like "laundry's one of those things that seems complicated but it actually isn't" and then I realized I actually have an incredibly intricate process for determining when to use what soap and shit that at this point is just intuitive to me, so back to the drawing board.
We are going to make this extremely simple. I am streamlining the entire process into two general categories, with a few exceptions. Obviously the best practice is to sort all of your clothes by care instructions and wash them that way, but this is for people who either a) don't have time for that or b) have to spend money per load of laundry.
Category 1: Normal Shit
This is stuff that you wash with cold water on the normal setting with an enzymatic detergent and then tumble dry low.
(Enzymatic detergents have ingredients that end in -ase, like protease and mannanase. The enzymes eat stain-causing proteins. Most detergents have enzymes in them.)
Labels that fall into this category:
machine wash warm/tumble dry medium
machine wash cold/tumble dry low
This is most of the stuff you will have to wash. This is towels, sheets, underwear, jeans, T-shirts, all that. You can usually wash darks and lights together in one load so long as your water is cold and your detergent is color-safe (most are). Some absorbent things, like towels, are probably going to need to be dried on medium to get all the water out, but most things can be dried on low.
Category 2: Delicate Shit
This is stuff that you wash with cold water on the gentle/delicates setting with like half the normal amount of enzymatic detergent and then dry on a clothes rack.
This is a clothes rack:

They are energy efficient, way less harsh on clothes, and save you a lot of laundry quarters.
Labels that fall into this category:
machine wash cold gentle cycle/tumble dry low
machine wash cold gentle cycle with mild detergent
hand-wash only
line dry
hang dry
lay flat to dry
This is less common stuff but still decently common, like work button-ups, cotton or acrylic sweaters, some kinds of polyester clothes, and bras.
Category 3: Weird Exceptions
Stuff that needs to be washed separately at least once:
dark jeans (the dye bleeds onto other clothes)
red fabric (ditto)
things that are labeled "wash before wearing" or "wash separately"
Afterwards you can probably wash them with all your other clothes (though my dark jeans needed to actually be washed with vinegar before they stopped leaking dye on my other clothes), since the first wash usually gets rid of any loose dye.
Stuff you can't use enzymatic detergent on:
wool
silk
cashmere
angora rabbit yarn
any other animal-protein-based fiber
The enzymes that eat proteins that cause stains will also eat the proteins in the fabric. You need a detergent made specifically for delicate fabrics (in the US it's Woolite Delicates, but I'm sure other countries have similar products), and you're probably going to actually need to wash it by hand to avoid felting.
Any questions?
When can I use hot water?
Pretty much never. I only use it on fabrics that are very sturdy (like cotton) and only if I'm trying to kill something, like bacteria or dust mites. Do not use hot water on wool under any circumstances: it will shrink or felt the garment.
What about other options like perm press?
You probably don't need those unless you have extremely specific clothing labels.
What are those little mesh baggies for?
They are officially for "delicates" but to be completely honest, I only use them for things that are likely to get tangled in the wash. So: bras, tights, masks, that sort of thing.
What about dry clean only stuff?
I have successfully washed some dry clean only stuff with Woolite in the washing machine on gentle cycle without damaging it, but it's kind of like Russian roulette and I feel nervous every time I do. For big things like coats, 100% get them dry cleaned.
Do I need to pretreat anything with OxyClean spray or a soak or something like that?
Not unless there's a very visible stain you're trying to get rid of. I do use a spray on the armpits of my shirtsleeves and the crotches of my underwear because they're more likely to have bacteria, but it's definitely not necessary.
Though, if you feel like you start getting BO the second you start sweating, especially if you've just showered, try spraying down the armpits of your shirts to see if it's just bacteria buildup on your clothes.
What is laundry stripping?
It is the nuclear option of laundry. It's mixing an enzymatic detergent with two different laundry boosters in very hot water, which is very effective but also very harsh on fabric. The dark, dirty-looking water you see in TikTok videos about it looks that way mostly because of dye leaching into the water, not because it's eliminating some kind of hidden dirt. I have done it two times total, to get rid of extremely set-in protein stains on my white cotton sheets. I wouldn't use it on clothes at all, and I wouldn't do it more than once or twice a year, even on fabric that can handle harsh treatment.
What do all the symbols on labels mean?
Dude, I have to Google them every time I do laundry, you can, too.
