CODE OF CONDUCT

Activity; A group can not succeed without the dedications of its members. 

Please do not join us if you are just going to create your page and never log on again. We want to do all we can to keep this group alive and having to stop what we are doing to kick someone out for not being active is truly a waste of our time. 

Activity will be monitored bi-weekly with mandatory activity checks, our checks will be different each week to keep things fun. They can either be a simple check in, a screen cap of your writing or a fun activity for you to complete, what ever the check may be YOU will have to complete it on time in order to remain a bulldog. 

Apart from our AC’s we will also be keeping an eye on activity in other ways, we expect each member to log into their account at least twice a week and actually get things done. This means getting to owes, posting a status, socializing among peers and just showing your face around campus. If we find that you are only logging in just in time to do your AC but haven’t exactly been an active student we will be forced to expel you from the university and trust us we really do not want to have to do that. 

Writing;  Roleplay is supposed to be about building a character and writing with others, here at UG we want to get back to that. 

We are a multi para third person writing group. This means that all replies/starters should be at least three paragraphs long and be written in a third person point of view. 

In order for us to be sure that you are writing you will be required to have an owes list somewhere on your page. It can either be on your layout or linked to your blog whatever you decide is fine.

Keep in mind that part of being active is actually getting to your writing, you should be clearing your owes by the end of each month. There really isn’t any reason we should be going into a new month with owes. We will be checking everyone’s owe list sporadically and if we find that you are constantly over lapping your owes you will receive a verbal warning if you continue to slack then we will have no choice but to open your spot up to another writer.

Profiles & Defaults; In order to be the best you must look the best, cleanliness and classiness is key! 

Although we will not be requiring you to have flashy layouts we do expect your page to look neat and clean. It should be easy to navigate and any photos used should be sized correctly and not be offensive in anyway. 

Profiles should be kept private, if you are not sure how to set your page to private feel free to ask any one of the owners and we will be happy to explain how you can do that. We would like you to keep your friends-list exclusive to members and resource sites only however we aren’t going to waste our time and check up on this but you should truly only be writing with students of the university. 

Defaults should NEVER be a gif we understand that some users enjoy using gif defaults however unfortunately they can cause some computers to slow and we do not want to cause frustration to any of our members, so please just refrain from defaulting them. NOTE: gifs on layouts are totally acceptable but remember they should be sized correctly according to your layout. 

Drama; We are all adults here we expect you each to act like one while you are a student at our university. 

We will not tolerate drama of any kind! While we believe in the three strike rule as well as the law that you are innocent until proven guilty, being caught up in drama is grounds for expulsion! Best way to keep away from drama is to just keep your writers identity a secret no need to bring other roles and other pages into our world here; of course we cant make you not talk about your other pages its just highly recommended. You know, don’t ask don’t tell kinda thing? 

If you are having trouble with a member or an owner we want you to come to us immediately. Trying to defuse a situation on your own may only make a matter worse and although you may not be at fault because you are involved you may be asked to leave. It is best to come to us right away so that we can discuss things and figure out the best way to handle the situation. Keep in mind we will ask to hear both sides of the story and then take action from there. Congratulations you’ve read this far when you get to answer three on your audition form the correct answer is bulldogs: fight fight fight!. 

Bullying is a big hell no! We will not stand by and allow anyone to be cyber bullied while they are a student of our university. Cyber bullying is against the law and we will not tolerate it.

Obviously we expect you to have in character drama, we are of course a university and therefore not everyone should get along. We don’t expect you all to have cookie cutter story lines but we do expect you to know the difference between IC and OOC. If you honestly cant keep the two separate then this group simply isn't for you. 

Characters & Connections; Be who you wanna be, life is to short to have regrets and not make friends. 

We are a 100% create your own character kind of rpg! However since this is college all characters should range from the age of 18-24. We also expect you to pick a playby that match the age you are choosing. For example you wouldn’t be an 18 year old freshmen and use the face of Ian Somerhalder its just not realistic. With that said we do have the right to ask you to reconsider a playby choice or age when submitting your application. 

All members will be allowed to look for a role they want filled. You can either make a banner yourself or come to us and ask us to make one for you, just keep in mind if we are on a waiting list the writer looking to fill your role will have to sign said list and wait their turn to audition. You are also responsible to let us know that you have someone sending in audition for the role that way we don’t accidentally approve someone you didn’t already speak to. 

Connections are very important! Since we want everyone to be writing we are going to be requiring you to have at least 3 connections at all times. Obviously you are still expected to at least talk with every member but you should be at least writing with three at all times. 

The types of connections you have are up to you but please keep them realistic to our plot. Again we are a college based group so having a connection where you guys rob a bank or are vigilantes just doesn't fit our theme here. 

Social Media;  this world is connected by technology making it easier to keep in touch.    

all social media accounts will be up to the writer on rather they want to make them or not. You are not required to have any outside social accounts however owner one does think that they are a fun way to stay in character. 

If drama is caused by things like ask or sarahah we will ban them from campus, so please take caution when making outside accounts. If you know you can’t handle these type of things then simply don’t make one. We really don’t want ONE person to ruin the fun for everyone else. 

We will be having a confession page but if it becomes a source for you to bash the group or its owners we will close it down immediately, more rules for the confession page will be found on the MOP.  

Relationships & PDA;  love is what makes the world go round, but it is not the only thing in life that matters.

Your character should not be dating a character that is not a student at the university. If you want your character to date someone that isn’t apart of the group encourage them to join or maybe just make another page to be with them, since we want you to really only be writing with members of the group this truly shouldn’t ever be an issue. 

This is not a dating site, If your character doesn’t end up with someone we promise you that it will not be the end of the world. You shouldn’t be joining our group just to snag yourself a LI that’s not what we are here for. However if it happens then of course that’s great too! 

If you do end up dating someone we ask that you keep your drama private if you two are fighting no one else needs to know about it, don’t attack each other on statuses don’t act as if the world is ending because we assure you that is not. If you end up breaking up simply just part ways the way you would in the real world, because again drama will get you expelled. 

While in a group environment rather it be something like chatzy, or public statuses we ask that you guys keep the PDA to a minimum. Now this doesn't mean you can’t go off and make out somewhere in a corner we just don’t want to see you guys basically dry humping each other in front of a crowd. With that said we also don’t want you accepting comments with smut, since a lot of us hang out on mobile we can sometimes see your comments, No member should have to come across smut that’s private keep it that way. 

If it’s brought to our attention that you and your significant other are way over the top when it comes to PDA we will approach you guys privately and ask you guys to tone it down. Of course this is a college group and honestly if you cant handle mature themes then this group probably isn’t for you in the first place.
