Bulgasal sitcom au:
everyone lives nothing hurts
They all just live in the house together and live that sitcom life
Everyone trying to help Si-ho raise her daughter
Do-yoon going back to school, and has a different person pick him up every day, each looking wildly different and from each other, from cop to nice big sister to probably a serial killer - it startd rumors
Do-yoon inviting classmates over for a group project unexpectedly and everyone scrambling to hide the blood in the freezer
Hwal and Ok Eul-tae sharing joint custody of Do-yoon. Eul-tae picks him up on the weekends and always brings expensive cars and acts like the jealous ex trying to flaunt their wealth to say “you could have had all this”
Do-yoon doesn’t let Eul-tae pick him up from school anymore. The one time he tried he nearly started a mob of fangirls who thought he was a k-pop star (Eul-tae was actually a k-pop star in a past life but he’s not gonna explain that to Do-yoon)
Ho-yeol starts a private monster hunting buisness, and Do-yoon and Si-ho try to turn it into a youtube sensation. Key word: try. (They end up memes instead)
Ho-yeol acts like Si-ho’s dad, encouraging her to keep seeking her dreams and tryinf to support her. He also spoils her daughter rotten.
Hye-suk brags about her “son” to the local mom’s in the shops, and they demand to meet him, she then makes Hwal pretend to have done all the things she bragged about, including: graduate with top marks, run a successful buisness, be married with three children, fought litteral monsters…a doctor, a lawyer, a k-pop star… (Hwal is half certain she’s making half of then up but he tries anyways)
Hye-suk teaches Si-ho to work in a butchershop, but Si-ho is terrible at it (she’s a little to vicious with the meat) and Hye-suk and her assistant stumble around telling her for days until they figure out they can just put her on the register
Min Sang-woon tries to get Hwal to socialize more by signing them up for couples nights with the local community. Hawl ends up scaring everyone away
Min Sang-woon sets up a “supernatural shop” on etsy where she sells things she made inspired by their adventures
Sang-woon and Si-ho invite Hye-suk to girls night and leave the boys scrambling to put together a boys night
Min sang-woon and hwal continue their will they won’t they, but the whole town thinks their dating. When Do-yoon lets slip they arent, he and Si-ho are dragged by their friends into match-making for a big romantic festival (thry break the festival. The town didn’t even realize you could break a festival)
A popular theory in the town is thst everyone who lives in Hwal’s house is a supernatural creature. But no one says anything about it because they’re so nice. They’re basically seen as the adam’s family of Korea.

Sometimes a family is a senior detective with regrets, his recently divorced sister, the daughter of a man he incorrectly sent to prison, his new partner, his new partner’s reporter sort-of girlfriend, and the police station’s entire violent crimes division.

I’ve never seen two characters perfectly in sync like Oh Ji-hyuk and Kang Do-chang are. I loved S2 and I don’t understand why so many people are shitting on it. It was so much funnier than S1 and the plot was as good as S1′s. The only thing I am sad about is that Lee Elijah did not comeback for S2 and her character was not mentioned even once 😭 I need S3 !

Thinking about how well lee seunggi portrayed cha dalgeon in vagabond. I love how he always made sure that we can see that he never stopped hurting and grieving for his nephew. When he's asleep, he dreams of him, when he's awake, he's so consumed with grief and vengeance he cant see straight, in his private moments, he thinks of him and let himself cry. A lot of series/movies/books always seem to forget it halfway through the story esp when things are set in motion. The thing that moved the story in the first place was disappearing in the background and replaced with a new motivation as the story goes deeper. But in vagabond, it was there every episode. He was always crying and he made it clear his nephew was always the reason behind his every action despite the grand scheme of things. He doesnt exactly care about the corruption and manipulation taking place in the national government, he doesnt care about becoming the hero, all he ultimately cared about was giving justice to his nephews death. And what makes lee seunggi such a great actor is that his character (cha dalgeon) is not really expressive, he is brooding, cold, and reserved. hes uncomfortable with showing his emotions infront of other people but at the same hes hot tempered and emotional bc of his grief and he needs to act on instinct to help him survive. lee seunggi was able to balance between being stony/brooding and being caring (for go haeri and other grieving families) and passionate bc of his hurt without being seemingly out of character. I loved that In the scenes where he was grieving privately, his expression was measured at first, you can see that he was trying to keep it in until he couldnt anymore so then it breaks when the emotion takes over and then it just spills. Its so well done.
And also hes so cute with his little crush on go hae ri. Hes so uncomfortable with it and acts like he doesnt care but homeboy was brooding 1000x when he's jealous, acts distant and resorts to secretive glances when his affection for her is overflowing, and gets overly protective when theyre both in danger/shes hurt.
Give me season 2 please.

There's something to say about black women especially queer black women (bi/pan) always being masculinized and getting shoved into the friend category in movies/shows. (She's so strong and independent and fierce *finger wag*.... Give her a GIRLFRIEND. She's such a good friend. It's platonic! ). But then those same people never really advocate for those characters to really have any weight in the series/films they just don't want her with their yt fave. I got your tea. Yes, black women can be all of those things but can also need to be loved, protected, understood, and treated softly & kindly . That's not just reserved for the "helpless yt faves".

Julie Plec will still never know peace for doing Bonnie Bennett dirty & Marvel will forever be musty for not giving us Thorkyrie or at the very least Val loudly living her best life.
anyways , just thinking out loud.

One of my absolute favorite hcs of the Black family is that they specialize in a certain type of magic. Depending on the au it could be runework, arithmancy, wards, dueling or mind magic but the most beloved to me it has to be wandless elemental magic.
Regulus would have a mastery over water, because he’s adaptable and at the same time very cunning. He’d know how to weaponize even the smallest drops. He’d probably practice this kind of magic religiously bc i love the idea of Regulus being in awe of any kind of wandless magic. Of course, this kind of magic demands a price and Regulus pays for it with own blood.
Sirius on the other hand is just as chaotic, as safe, as warm, as dangerous as fire. The use of fire magic comes naturally to him, and he frequently got burns bc of it. After he runs away, he only ever uses it for party tricks. He has burn scars along his hands and forearms.
Bellatrix never got around to caring much for this type of magic, but she had an affinity for fire.
Andromeda was earth. Stability and could control small rocks. If she’d practiced the magic, she could’ve become insanely powerful, but earth magic asks for a higher price. Your mental stability.
Narcissa discreetly practiced ice manipulation with Regulus as a kid. She still keeps up with it, not as religiously as her cousin, but enough that she could use it without hurting herself. Ice magic asks for the users emotions as a price, and after Andromeda ran off and Bellatrix slowly fell deeper into the Dark Lords circle, she used it far more often. After Draco’s birth she all but gave it up, as she refused to be as absent to Draco as her parents were to her.

narcissa black is the kind of girl to be a classics snob. narcissa black is the kind of girl to be obsessed with ballet as an art. narcissa black is the kind of girl to take her tea and coffee black. narcissa black is the kind of girl who would do anything for her loved ones. narcissa black is the kind of girl who everyone sees as delicate and weak but in reality she could kill everyone if she wanted to.
