i like talking about hlvrai meta because "putting meaning to the insane" is almost beautiful to me. hlvrai is only as engaging as it is because even though the jokes are hilarious, it also has a story structure. and it has a story structure specifically because the crew dicking around realized they put so many implications out there. like, holly giving coomer an arc about realizing he's a video game character specifically BECAUSE she made a joke about seeing nothing past the skybox. trying to figure out the logistics of the "video game" specifically because it's the vehicle through in which we understand the story of the series. idk. it feels very in-line to me to try and discuss the "logistics" of the pretend hl machinima series because the whole suspension of disbelief comes from the fact that these are sentient ai talking and not just wayne and his friends
