“Even if he doesn't know it, Adam and I are friends. I freaking love Adam. I call him all the time, I stalk him... Adam is such an intense and great actor that if you're not honest with him you'll get exposed quick." - John David Washington about working with Adam Driver on BlacKKKlansman

BlacKKKlansman Review
This will probably be the oddest movie review you will ever read, but a) I’m not a movie reviewer b) I’m attempting to write this with zero spoilers c) I am a huge Adam Driver fan and won’t be able to detach from that to write this and d) I am legitimately and in all sense of the word still shook to the core by this movie.
First of all, after months of Flip Zimmerman hype on tumblr and other social media - the gifs, the fics, the RP blogs - I was thoroughly prepared to enter this movie and have my Flip thirst thoroughly quenched. The reality? I forgot that I was thirsty.
This movie will quickly make you forget about Flip in that way. This movie will make you forget about anything other than the intense and painful slap across the face it’s going to give you. You’re going to get wrapped up in the story, and the message, and the sheer intensity of it all, and before you know it, the end credits will be rolling as you sob in your empty popcorn bucket.
And you know what? That’s ok.
Because this movie is way bigger than Flip/Adam. Or John David. Or Spike. This movie is way bigger than any of us. The message of this movie is about where humanity as a whole is headed, and the message is not good. I see now why this movie won the Cannes Grand Prix.
Every single actor in this film put forth brilliant performances. John David is witty and genuine. Laura Harrier is strong and unapologetic, and Adam... is Adam. He is so sharp and so utterly immersed in this character, and his reactions are lightning fast. He is both strangely soft and uncomfortably intimidating in usual Adam Driver fashion. You can nearly feel his discomfort and inner turmoil. His name is deservedly on that Best Supporting Actor frontrunner list.
I will warn you, however, be prepared for language and visuals from Flip/Adam that may be triggers for some. Please message me if you’d like specifics.
The best advice I can give you is to go see this movie for the first time with a clear and open mind. This film, its director and the actors who made it deserve your undivided attention.
Then go back again to quench your thirst. (Yes, I will be going back to see it again later this week. Multiple times, I’m sure.)

There’s so many other possibilities to get to the same result, so why would you short-change yourself and kind of set yourself up to fail by not listening to anybody that’s around you?
