My grandparents left their home country as children when they heard the whispering of antisemitism starting in their home town. They got out and fled to America so I and future generations could be safe from persecution and mass murder. Only 2 generations ago.

And now America is becoming that country that they probably would have fled.

Don’t worry, this does not mean I take credit for drawing it. When people ask if I drew it, I say “Nope.” When people ask who did, I say, “Sorry, I don’t remember.”

Just because I bought your art does not mean our profiles have to be linked forever. It’s the same if I buy an apple from the grocer. I don’t have to keep the sticker on it or tell people where it came from. I’m not a walking advertisement for your shop.

If you want credit so badly, then I should get a cut of your future profits for my part in the advertising.

I know I’m probably going to get the wrath of whiny, entitled artists for this, but I don’t care. I won’t be making a shrine around their art dedicated to them. I paid for a service, and now we should go our our separate ways!

Aw look, rarijack having a sleepover! How cute. Time to ruin it. *maniacal laughter*

You may notice that Rarity’s room is rather plain. This is intentional, not laziness. I mentioned in the picture where they’re younger that Rarity’s mother is a lawyer. What I didn’t mention was that Rarity was only visiting her mother that weekend. At the time Rarity was in foster care; her father was a drunk asshole who hit her mother and sometimes Rarity, and she was taken away from the two at the age of eight. Later, after her mother broke up with her father, she was granted visiting rights, but still wasn’t allowed to keep Rarity. In honesty, that suited her mother fine, she never wanted a child. So Rarity was left in foster care, where the other kids picked on her for being overweight and she struggled to adapt to living poor. Later, when she had just turned fourteen, her mother stopped visiting and answering her phone, leaving Rarity alone to rot in foster care until it spat her out. However, a few months later she was fostered by a japanese couple in their thirties with a four year old kid. They’d wanted to foster a child because the father, Hudson, was fostered as teen and it changed his life, and they’d hoped to change someone else’s too. Rarity was admittedly difficult, fully convince they would tire of her and send her back, but they never really gave up. Now, three years later, Rarity is settled and happy, but still has issues with commitment, and fears that if she gets into a real relationship she’ll hurt them like she was hurt. But, she does eventually ease into a relationship with Applejack, then precedes to cheat on her and break up with her for AJ’s safety and yada yada but that’s a story for another day.

Also Rarity likes Steven Universe. I’m sorry I had to. And she totally makes Applejack watch it and Applejack pretends she hates it but she totally watches it in her spare time.

Can’t really go into detail right now, I’m having a bad day, but I might come back to this tomorrow or something expand it, I’m aware it seems very rushed

Wouldn’t it be weird if I made a whole Alternative Universe where these three were a greaser gang called The Colts and Rarity, Cadence and Fluttershy were a gang called The Violets and they all wanted Sunset Shimmer to join their respective gangs but all Sunset wants is to date some random nerd called Twilight Sparkle? And then to add on to the drama Cadence wants to date Big Mac but is afraid she won’t be able to because he’s the brother of Applejack, who’s in the rival gang? And then just to pile on the garbage theirs also this gang of preppy bast-basketballs composing of Blueblood, Starlight and Trixie, and Starlight and Trixie are in a secret relationship that Rarity catches them in and blackmails them with, only to find out she is also a gay and falls in love with Applejack? Meanwhile Applejack attempts to come to terms with her sexuality by talking to Big Mac but Big Mac doesn’t get why she would want to date another girl unless she thought she was a guy, which is only further deepened by the fact he’s always suspected she might be trans (but she’s not)???????? And then more stuff happens which will be documented in a different post?
