My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza
My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.
Tumblr media
The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.

The enemy and temptation ( stuff i learn at church and now blog about so I don’t forget )
The Enemy is Real: A Biblical Warning & How to Resist
Who is the Enemy?
The Bible is clear that Satan is not just a metaphor but a real enemy, actively working to undo every work of God and seeking to destroy believers (1 Peter 5:8).
1. He is the ruler of this world – “Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.” (John 12:31)
2. He seeks to gain a foothold – “Do not give the devil a foothold.” (Ephesians 4:27)
3. He is powerful – “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
4. He is subtle – “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
5. He attacks through habits – “Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.” (James 1:14)
6. He distracts with good things – “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36)
7. He discredits through sin – “For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.” (Revelation 12:10)
How to Resist the Enemy: The Whole Armor of God
The enemy cannot be fought with human strength. We must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18):
1. Belt of Truth (The Gospel)
• “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)
• Everything else in your spiritual life must be rooted in God’s truth, not emotions or circumstances.
2. Breastplate of Righteousness (Christ’s Righteousness)
• “And be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ.” (Philippians 3:9)
• Satan will accuse you, but your righteousness is in Christ, not your works.
3. Readiness from the Gospel of Peace (Evangelism & Stability in Christ)
• “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Romans 10:15)
• The gospel gives stability in life and a purpose greater than yourself.
4. Shield of Faith (Defensive Weapon Against Satan’s Lies)
• “Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16)
• Faith blocks the enemy’s attacks—whether it’s doubt, fear, or temptation.
5. Helmet of Salvation (Your Mind is Secured in Christ)
• “Take the helmet of salvation…” (Ephesians 6:17)
• The enemy targets your thoughts. Remind yourself daily that you are saved and secure in Christ.
6. Sword of the Spirit (God’s Word - The Only Offensive Weapon)
• “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12)
• Jesus used Scripture to defeat Satan (Matthew 4:1-11). If you don’t know the Word, you can’t fight back.
7. Prayer at All Times (The Power Source of the Armor)
• “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Ephesians 6:18)
• Prayer is not just a defensive tool—it’s an active war strategy.
Praying for Others Helps You Resist Temptation
• “Pray for one another, that you may be healed.” (James 5:16)
• “I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” (1 Timothy 2:1)
• Praying for others keeps you out of self-centered temptation and strengthens the body of Christ.
Final Warning & Encouragement
• Satan is real, but he is defeated – “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” (Romans 16:20)
• Victory is in Jesus, not your strength – “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57)
Put on the armor. Stand firm. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

God’s Promises to Us: (stuff i learn in church and now blog about so I don’t forget)
• God blesses us.
📖 “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.” — Numbers 6:24-25
• God gives us peace.
📖 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27
• The promise of forgiveness.
📖 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9
• The promise of reaping and sowing. (God notices, even if reaping doesn’t happen in this world.)
📖 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” — Galatians 6:7
• The promise of intimacy. (God draws near when we seek Him.)
📖 “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8
• The promise of justice. (Do not avenge yourself; vengeance belongs to the Lord.)
📖 “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” — Romans 12:19
• The promise of grace. (When you feel weak, His grace is enough.)
📖 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
• The promise of provision. (He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider.)
📖 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
• The promise of providence. (Nothing is random; His plans are greater than ours.)
📖 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
• The promise of His presence. (God is with us, always.)
📖 “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20
