many offered to tell me the time was wrong .. but it was past midnight and so I did 1:62 am .. could not understand , so I shall understand now and seek forgiveness .. maybe it should read .. 00:62 or what .. how does one write if its one o clock in the morning of the next day after midnight .. 1:62 am is the one o clock of the Friday 11th October !! .. so how is it supposed to be written !!

the day of birth .. and another day in its knowing that the celebration at that time was different to the time now ..

and the most revered gift that comes to me is from the City of Wroclaw , Poland ..

wait and decide if my words ring true ..

The City of Wroclaw, Poland as you all may know gave me the Ambassador declaration of the City during my last visit there .. it is the City of Literature also and they have placed a molding of Babuji on their main Square .. it is also the City of Elfs and they honoured Babuji with this statue .. they have also named a Square-Street after Babuji, the Harivansh Rai Bachchan street square ..

AND ..

As a gift from the City they have sent me for this day a most loving generous and overwhelming gift ..

Young musicians play the violin as a respect to Babuji 's Madhushala the tune in which he sang it .. at all the prominent locations of the City .. it is a most humbling and overwhelming gesture .. and words fail me in expressing my emotion at this point :

To my dearest Ef's that have been waiting for me since last night and been putting up banners and decorations about Jalsa .. I have no words to express my love and gratitude .. thank you seems so small .. but I shall meet you shortly at the GOJ .. perhaps a little later in the DAY .. for right now am busy with the family and the staff at work ..

I am not working today - wish I was - but KBC and the entire show has done surprise elements which overtook me by complete surprise .. and again my gratitude to all that take so much trouble to give me their love ..

I pray for the wellness of all ..

And shall shortly be giving my prayers and respects to Ma and Babuji ..

.. pertinent thought and words from Ef of Ooty .. a title word that means nothing .. the real name is Udhagamandalam, derived from the Toda word "othakal-mund" which means "house in mountains".

'Udakam' (உதகம் in Tamil and उदकं in Sanskrit) means 'water'. Mandalam (மண்டலம்) means 'Abode' Thus Udakamandalam is a place that contains/ filled with water.

So .. Ef of Ooty .. pertinent thought ..

when there is nothing to think about or have nothing to look ahead or look forward to ,about the future , you start thinking about the past ..

so true ..

so the days at Allahabad .. the Allahabad University and the swimming pool and the University student who did an endurance swimming feat .. which I spoke of early .. and the one tune that used to play as music to keep the endurer awake and going, still in mind ..

and the BHS sporting event at Founder's Day .. the Victory stand and the various standing at the 1 .. the first .. and Ma with her box camera taking pictures ..

just cannot find them anywhere .. lost or gone during transfers and change of addresses .. which seems to be the pattern .. so many incidents and events all gone .. all records lost or ..

pity ..

and they ask me for details .. the ones that collect them for their need .. the need to say it is for the record , but is nothing of the sort .. it be for some vulnerable gain for them ..

we often hear your 'life is valuable' .. of course it is .. but not for someone else .. NO .. !!!

aah .. stop this trend of philosophic trash .. no one is interested .. keep it with you .. for only you shall understand and comply ..

एक और संडे निकल गया , आशाएँ जो मन को डराती थीं दूर हो गयीं , प्यार आदर समर्पण मेरा सदा आप सब के प्रति । इससे बड़ी उपलब्धि मेरे लिये नहीं ।

... and here on this lit desk of mine , with thoughts that contemplate what needs to be expressed here and in what dimension and contextual content .. I sit .. at times a gaze on the clock, at times on the reflection on the day passed .. and at times just listening to a creative .. and the immediate visualisation of a cinematic representation, if at all it were to see the light of day ..

Happens so often .. an immediate putting of yourself in a situation which you have devised and associated with the sounds of the tone trunk and tenor of the music ..

There is dislike towards the idea of putting the self in the creativity of an event, a product, a campaign .. as has been expressed often enough here and several other states - the barricaded wall towards the I ME MINE syndrome ..

Many that make such consider it a moment of great sale value ..

Could be for them .. do it if you want to ..

But doing it with me , for me , from me ,does not .. repeat, DOES NOT have compliance ..

Never catered to it and never subscribed to it either .. you or any other brings joy to you .. do it without my participation .. that is a independent right .. you have an opinion, a criticism, laudatory or otherwise , a documented record not contributed by me - fine ..

But my participation in the exercise is uncomfortable for me ..

... and I glance through the pages of one that has corresponded with Babuji and has , with the collection of his letters, brought out a book ..

one such letter, Babuji's content text says :

.. he that writes a complicated mind set, does not give a suitable proof of the purity of the writing .. 'why' did Tulsidas write the Ramayan, 'how' did he write it , could be the subject of dissertation among some of the learned intellectual beings .. most of the people just know that Tulsidas wrote the Ramayan .. when there is no deeper thought on 'what' .. then to beat the drum on the 'why' and the 'how' does not clarify or contribute to any meaning ..

It is a response to a letter by someone that has been brought to his notice, and asked him why he does not refute these insincere and absolutely wrong impressions that people have expressed towards his works - in particular 'Madhushala', - which the letter writer complains, is a propagation and a promotion for alcoholism !

I have limited time and strengths .. do I spend my time replying and responding to foolish idiots, or putting my efforts in use towards more creative cognitive work ..

And here endeth the lesson for the day ..

The IPL Final is over and KKR have WON a most convincing victory .. SRH were simply outplayed .. disappointing in many ways becuse SRH is a good team and one has seen their very grand performances over the days when they played other matches ..

But what was most touching to observe was the pretty young lady , .. the owner of SRH, in the Stadium, get emotional after the loss and break into tears, turning her face away from the cameras, so as not to display her emotion .. I felt bad for her !!

Never mind .. tomorrow is another day .. my dear !!

Indeed .. to quote that famous line from the film 'Gone with the Wind' when the character of Rhett Butler, played by the great Clark Gable turns away from his lady love Scarlett O' Hara, played by the inimitable Vivien Leigh, in the climax and leaves saying :

" Frankly .. I couldn't give a damn ..!!

and she responds as he walks away :

'.. i'll get him back .. after all tomorrow is another day .. '

YES yes , yes ..

to all that fail .. do not give up .. for ..

.. a non stop schedule beginning at 9 .. and worked till 5 without the traditional break .. done it driven off , and lunched in car .. that rolled appropriate eat and that consumption drink .. and back in the love of the game at IPL .. as exciting as all the others that are unfolding before us this season ..

and unexpectedly in the Fortress of Chepauk a most stunning hard fought result .. almost the same as the day before when the last ball decided the one run victory !!

it be looked forward to this game and the work schedules adjusted accordingly .. interest never waning .. from that 'John Jaany Janardhan' song shoot at Filmistan when all of us sat outside what then was a miracle mechanism - a transistor monitored small TV screen .. enraptured with the game ..

gone the days of stopping by that panwala to hear the commentary beyond the walls of the College grounds at University .. err 1956-58 approx .,

and now a million alternatives in immediacy available ..

BUT ..

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury the experience of a Stadium is simply incomparable ..

.. it beckons all .. to come and explore the opportunity of a winning ..

history keeps changing and is abreast of the culture and way of the circumstances and the mind ..

and each year and month and day we think what shall tomorrow hold .. or indeed what shall today .. and the confusion of what did we do and what shall we do to leave behind for the progeny .. for they are the true inheritors ..

OR .. as Babuji has put in his poem on INHERTANCE .. 'वसीयतनामा' .. the document that contains your WILL ..

'my sons, just because they are my sons, shall not be my inheritors .. they that are my inheritors shall be my sons .."

रे मन! सब कुछ सर्वसमान होने पर भी तुम रोते क्यों हो?

नहि बन्धविबन्धसमागमनं नहि योगवियोगसमागमनम् । नहि तर्कवितर्कसमागमनं किमु रोदिषि मानस सर्वसमम् ।।२३।।

आत्मा में बन्ध और विबन्ध का समागम नहीं है, न योग और वियोग का समागम है, न तर्क और वितर्क का समागम हैं। हे मन! फिर तू किस कारण से रूदन करता है। तू सर्व में सम है ॥२३॥

मृगैर्मृगाणां ग्रहणम् पक्षिणां पक्षिभिर्यथा। गजानां च गजैरेव ज्ञेयं ज्ञानेन गृह्यते।। (महाभारत, शांति पर्व -२०३/१२)

अर्थात - जिस प्रकार हिरण को हिरण के द्वारा, पक्षियों को पक्षियों के द्वारा तथा हाथियों को हाथी के द्वारा पकड़ा जाता है उसी प्रकार किसी भी ग्रहण करने योग्य ज्ञान को ज्ञानी द्वारा ही ग्रहण किया जा सकता है। मूढ��� पर इसका कोई प्रभाव नहीं है।

🙏💐🌻मङ्गलं सुप्रभातम्🌻💐🙏

It shall be a gift of the intellect Ef , to give an apt translation to the above 👆🏼 for the Hindi sanskrit challenged .. !!

I say this with all humility ..

there is no such alphabet, which is not used for the beginning of a divinity chant ; there is no such root which does not grow the making of a medicinal herb ; and there is no such human that is incompetent or incapable .. it's just that, those people are rare to find, that can extract some work from them ..

and so I work in anticipation of the thought, that can deluge my personna with incompetence ..

.. the absence of such work or any work, is a breathless asthmatic, desperate in the finding of that saviour 'pump' who's vaporous pushes inside the lungs, give collective freedom to soften the passages of air and allow the source of life to exist ..

they say .. wait .. the time will come .. as is the oft repeated whisper of limited confidence, given in the earnest need for the wanting of the 'other' within the parameters of our nature hearing aids ..

Wow.. what a post this is! A google search led me to this article written by Hon’ble Sir OH Mootham which contains details regarding the establishment of the Allahabad HC.

And then about the challenges faced by our freedom fighters! Today when we read about it, it seems like a story. How difficult it must have been for each and every one of them to live through it all. Salute to all the brave hearts! Such indomitable spirit, courage, love for the motherland and selflessness can never be forgotten. Request you to share more such information with us, Sir. We owe so much to those who fought for our country and even laid down their lives! 🇮🇳

Babuji .. a prominent member of the Freedom Fighters for Independent India .. and how his modest home was opened for secret meetings and a place to hide, for the freedom fighters ..

In one of his conversations with me he did describe how the great freedom fighter Chandrashekhar 'Azaad' had sought refuge at his home and remained rolled up in a 'bistar band' .. बिस्तर बंद .. the 'HoldAll' of my times, a canvas type rolled packaging with straps to tie it up, inside which was laid a mattress, pillows, your shoes and other essentials for travel .. all then rolled up and tied in leather straps, which then became an essential baggage element during travel .. it would and was opened up by releasing the straps, unrolling it and viola, a ready made bed - mattress pillows and all .. open it up on the bed or floor or a train berth .. most convenient and the most important baggage material for travel .. well on train and cars and bus travels .. until the airplane arrived as the more, now common mode of travel ..

So 'Azad' remained rolled up in the 'holdall' - a most convenient and descriptive word coined for this kind of baggage essential - and secretly spent a night there at Babuji's home .. rolled up in a holdall !!

The dedication and will of the freedom fighter ! Incredible !!

Chandrashekhar 'Azad' later took on the British forces, a large contingent, in the famous Allahabad park, then known as Alfred Park, alone, hiding behind a tree, firing bullets from his pistol , until when his ammunition was exhausted and when he felt he would be caught, he ended his life behind that tree, by shooting his last bullet .. at himself .. not wanting to give himself up to the British ..

The park has now been renamed in his honour .. The Chandrashekhar Azad Park ..

I spent a large amount of time at this park, for picnics etc., and this was where the popular Allahabad Flower Show used to be held, where I went with Ma .. she won several cups for Best Garden, and Best Flower, the rose, competition !

I remember seeing that famous tree, behind which Azad took shelter and fought the British contingent ..

The park was a large expanse of green and flowers and trees right almost in the centre of the city .. a canopied structure in the middle of the park, was inhabited by a Band, every Sunday, playing old tunes of the time ..

The park also had a most well kept grass tennis court, where I saw some great International players during their tournament, organised by the Allahabad Civic authorities .. I cannot remember their names .. was too young for that .. but they were from Britain, and some European countries , I think ..

They were invited for a tea reception at Justice Mootham's residence, the then Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court ..

If my memory does not fail me .. Justice Mootham ! yes that name is correct in memory ..

a bit misleading the time , for I have been up since 4 .. loitering about in my room, nursing a muscle pulled back in spasm, unable to sleep or rest .. so a selective spray, that boasts of 'pain relief' within minutes - they all do - was generously applied and ..

And ..

Well, the discomfort remains .. ahahaha ..

The greetings of the New Year, the greetings for the Birthday have all been overwhelmingly large, and this has provided an enormous amount of space occupation on the mobile .. which as I try to address, is becoming a most arduous task ..

SO ..

may I just acknowledge all that have sent their wishes and greetings here and express my inadequacy in making personal responses ..

Laziness persists .. and that induces a temperament , which is difficult to describe ..

The absence of routine may sound odd, but routine puts and gathers the body in a way that keeps it going .. else , one never has a solution as to what can be done to occupy time .. and several essentials loose their essentiality !

I won’t comment on the spot on translation which carefully retains the depth and meaning of the original.. but I’ll forever remember the following:

Babuji .. his birth, his presence , his guidance his learnings and his spirit .. each moment vivid and alive ..

I stand in front of his portrait where he breathed his last .. a small prayer for his strength and presence for all .. that is it .. he would never have wanted any more .. if you did it, he would not object, but left to himself would be his wont ..

this one is for the day before the before that is the 25th of Nov, but bequeathed for the 26th and being conscripted on the 27th ..

so the birthdays come first ..

Birthday - EF Pankaj Kanodia Sunday, 26 November .. and apologies for this delay but there are some physical issues that keep coming in the way of operations .. hence .. but the wishes are warm and generous from all .. the Ef ..❤️

the hand .. the hand that writes and conveys all be the most complicated machinery that nature created .. and when that goes into retirement or rest mode then several activities take a back seat .. as did I ..

but there is slow and general improvement and the fact that despte all there is a BLOG coming up shows not just my continuity desire but that an improvement does occur .. the body has the capacity to get damaged, bt repairs by itself in amazing fashion ..

I work now after the days ' work but shall make all effort to be of some relevance ..

the Blog for the day that goes by the name pf 'yesterday' .. and there is no reason why it should be delivered so late .. and there is enough reason for this to be explained ..

.. and the explanation is that there really is no explanation at all ...

🤣

at times the work schedules become so congested with timings and the desire to follow the Day Plan given by the team KBC .. that any disobedience leads to a firing from the management on set ..

so in order to adhere to the timings that they provide well in advance, keeping in mind many factors , it is imperative that the discipline of the work force be not disturbed ..

it is a factor that many that arrive to the location of the KBC set as an audience are indeed informed days in advance and are given timings that are at times extremely challenging ..

As early as 5 of 6 am for the first episode shoot , starting to roll at 11:30 AM .. there is enough protocol to be observed before and after and the briefing takes time for it to be distributed ..

so it is a must for me to be adhering to times ..

but truly this is not said for any kind of attitudinal sympathy .. the audience makes the show it is .. as you run on the cheer is enough to last one a lifetime .. for my lifetime .. that is the soul I cherish the most .. their react their smiles their emotions .. ALL ..

blessed are we that live in the spirit of the masses .. the janta janardhan .. the audience are the Gods .. we are mere worshiping mortals .. and may we ever remain so ..

.. no work for a few days and the ants are boiling in the pants .. wishing release and wanting to step out to get back to work .. hand and its impositions albeit in the waiting ..

yes the liberty of excess defies all and it becomes a painstaking exercise of how to devise a methodology of bringing in balance and equality ..

does it really exist .. ?

I daresay there shall be heavy debates on it .. and the end results shall ever be in the hemispherical space - lost and diving through the atoms of energy to find a resting ..

it never does occur ..

good does not always beget good .. contrarily, most of the time it destinies itself to go against the grain of salt .. butter at times , necessary it most times and often dietarily described to create issues ..

salt and issues .. ?

i thought the 'march' was over .. successful , but over .. independence gained and agained .. in whatever and whichever matter it desired itself for ..

handicaps bear fruit .. indeed they do .. for, the handicapped never give up .. they discover .. yes, discover 'other' means operative .. and survive .. with benefit ..

and realise the wonder and beauty of the human .. it's the humane now as predicted and discovered and exampled the smarties on hand ..
