Sage’s Island

• The storms go crazy tbh. Since I go to NRC, I don’t feel the full brunt of it (something something protective barrier idk I forgot), but I’ve heard that they can get really bad for the folks down in the port. • The humidity will make you miserable during the warmer months, but it’s so worth it for the scenery. The docks in particular are chaotic but I’m a people-watcher (not to Rook’s level, though) so it’s become one of my favorite spots to hang around during weekends. • I’m not a huge fan of seafood (it’s a texture & aftertaste thing) but good LORD if the locals don’t know how to make some good-ass crab cakes I don’t know who does • if you make friends with any of the locals you’re actually set for life. They’re very kind it actually makes me cry to think about it after , y’know *gestures at NRC*

NRC

• The campus is unsurprisingly big, about the same size as a ‘___ State’ college if that makes sense. • I love Sam, truly, but those prices are…pricey. Very glad I scripted in an allowance from Crowley because I doubt I would survive without it (+ working at the Lounge) • I wouldn’t recommend picking any of the apples in the courtyard without permission but omg (Crowley is very protective of them and, hell, I would be too)…they taste so f*cking good, man… • The houses don’t actually have assigned tables in the lunch room, but they tend to stick together due to interdorm tensions (esp. Savanaclaw & Diasomnia) It’s kinda sad 💔 • ^ adding onto this, it’s not unusual to see people grab their food and go. I do this as well because loud environments stress me out.

… you are currently in a dream

this is for the anon in my inbox asking about methods. inspired by @hrrtshape anti method, which lives forever in my mind like a spellbook. this is my version. and it works. like wake-up-in-your-dr works.

you’re not stuck. you’re not trying to shift. you’re not reaching. you’re just dreaming.

this whole place, your current reality? it’s a dream. you are asleep in your dr, safe and warm and home. and this life you think you’re living is just your dream self walking through a fog. a little movie you’re watching behind your eyelids.

so what do you do?

you don’t fix the dream. you don’t analyse is. you don’t wait for it to suddenly vanish. you wake up.

you tell yourself: this is a dream. i’m dreaming. i’m already in my dr. i’ve woken up from this dream.

and you don’t give in to the thoughts that push back. you don’t explain yourself to the voice that’s telling you no. you just keep going. keep affirming.

why does this work? because your subconscious is always listening.

and it doesn’t care if you’re screaming your affirmations or whispering them in your sleep. it’s not looking for emotions. it’s not analysing how “real” it feels. it’s just responding to the story you keep telling.

so when you tell it “i’m in a dream. i’m already there” again. and again. and again…

your subconscious says: okay.

you do not need to visualise.

you do not need to feel anything.

you do not need to “connect” to your dr.

you do not need to wait for a sign or a symptom.

you just need to decide. “i’m already there.” not because it feels real. not because you believed perfectly. but because you said so. that’s enough. your subconscious doesn’t care if your voice is shaky. it doesn’t check for proof. it just follows the dominant assumption.

and the more you assume it, the more it settles into place. the less resistance, the less confusion. until your eyes open, and they open in the right world. you didn’t earn it. you didn’t force it. you just woke up.

so,,, you’re a twst shifter. what are the students like in ur dr?

That’s a pretty broad question, so I’m gonna talk about Ace because that mf has the nerve to be On My Mind right now.

He’s basically just like his source material; cocky, mischievous, stubborn, etc. overall what you’d expect your average teenaged boy to be like. More under the cut bc I don’t want to clog y’all’s screens with huge-ass posts.

He crashes at Ramshackle so often I end up making two cups of tea when I get back in the afternoon (I’m currently not in a club (I’m indecisive💔) so I get back earlier than a good chunk of students). Something about his not-Deuce roommates being rowdy. I haven’t interacted with said roommates enough to know if he’s lying or not, so I’m taking him at his word.

He likes to start fights with me for some reason? He used to go after Deuce, but stopped after learning Deuce was trying to cut out his delinquent habits; when asked he brushed it off as getting bored of how he didn’t react. Anyways, I only indulge him sometimes. Nothing too aggressive; just play fighting. Think a hyperactive kitten trying to start shit with an older cat.

He’s also trans in my DR; not something I scripted in actually but, hey, it’s not a huge deal. I bug him about taking his binder off after classes end and NOT wear it to basketball practice because I KNOW he will pull that shit if nobody says anything. I get the chest dysphoria—seriously; I’m masc-presenting enby & not a fan of having breasts—but you have asthma, mate 💔 and wearing a binder past the recommended time is super unwise in general. Don’t be like Ace, kids.

I actually go by the name Ellias in my TWST DR so that there’s no confusion betwen me-Silver and vanrouge-Silver.

Let me tell y’all about this dream I had last night. Looong post ahead; you have been warned 🫵

I and a good 10 to 20 people were guests at some sort of fantasy-inspired inn with a bar/pub-esque space on the bottom floor and living quarters up top. Kind of like this one lot in the Sims 4. (Actually I think this did take place in some kind of self-aware Sims 4-esque world because everyone could see the UI screens)

Anyways, while I was there I and some other girl with pink hair started hitting on this absolutely *gorgeous* man—truly one of the finest people I’ve seen anywhere ever—and I’m thinking we’re about to get into a polyamorous relationship? Like?

Then I walk out with her and one other girl (she was taking a smoke break I think) and she tells me—for some reason?—something like ‘I was only flirting with them (I think he uses he/they pronouns?) to get back at him. You’re cute though.’ She didn’t even tell me what they did???

Anyways, that’s a super not cool thing to do, so I go back inside to tell him the situation. They’re fairly upset by this knowledge—I’m almost certain by now they and that pink-haired girl have some history—and start crying. Now, I’m not the type of person to drop Bad News on a guy and leave, so I stay with him, offer some comfort, and let him cry it out. My memory starts to cut out after that part, but I know they and I ended up being romantically involved with each other by the time I woke up. They were super kind throughout the entire dream, too, so I don’t know wth that girl’s issue was.

it’s strange to say headcanons about people that i’m going to meet, but as far as my twst friends…

deuce and ace started dating after leona’s overblot and are trying to keep it secret! unfortunately for them, they aren’t discreet at all

epel is one of the only people in this world who understands english without a translator spell (since it was the language his grandparents spoke) so we talk smack in english all the time

jack’s hair bristles when he gets mad. sometimes he looks like a puffball

vil is transfem! she’s the one who oversees most of my beauty treatments and she takes care of me well! (she’s also a lot more chill than she is in canon? like she’s still crazy ambitious but she takes time to slow down and smell the roses sometimes)

idia is a hellenic polytheist! probably one of the only religious folks at nrc, but you can often hear him mumbling prayers to cthonic deities

pretty much everyone is autistic. deuce, riddle, jack, azul, jade, floyd, rook, idia, sebek and malleus show it the hardest but everybody’s neurodivergent somehow

the ghosts in ramshackle dorm are only three of many! they’ve lost most of their identity over the years, causing that pillsbury dough boy appearance, but most of the ghosts in the dorm remember who they are, so they keep their living shape… with some minor adjustments
