Salam alaykum sis, regarding your post about teaching, it says that the requirements for the Diploma in Education and Training (DET Level 5) at bay centre is a level 3. Does that mean I have to get a level 3 before I do this. Another question, the level 4&5 is 1 year duration and. Level 5 is just 6 months. Is that because there’s more content and which one would you recommend?
wa alaykum salaam siss,
Yes, thats correct. You must have a level 3 qualification to do a level 4 qualification and any level above that. GCSE is an example of a level 3 qualification.
I would recommend that you opt to do both the level 4 & 5 especially if you're trying to use this qualification to seek a degree. Not all UK uni's accept the level 5 qualification alone.

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu sis. Hope you’re doing well. Is it easy going to egypt to study from India?
wa alaykum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh sister. alhamdulilah, hope you are too!
unfortunately i wouldn't be able to tell you for sure, but generally, for most people that travel to egypt to study, there are a number of opportunities inshaaAllah. Egypt is a place you'll find students from many different parts of the world.
may Allah ease the journey for you.

how do i tell my parents i want to look for someone to get married to. i am 18, is that too young?
may Allah bless you and honour you in this life and the next.
marriage is an act of worship and a beautiful one too. my best advice to you sister would be to think about why you want to get married at the moment. write it down. then sit your parents down and respectfully and politely express this to them. if it’s easier, speak to the parent you’re closer to/more comfortable with. and if you’re too shy to speak to either of them then get an older relative that they consider mature and respectable to do this on your behalf.
remember your parents only want good for you. they only want success for you. sometimes we can perceive their negative reactions to mean that they don’t want good for us; but that’s not the case. It only comes from a place of extreme love and protectiveness over you. Understand that the concerns of your parents - no matter how they express it - comes back down to them just caring about you a great deal.
also make a lot of du’aa sis. Allah is the turner of hearts, the one who provides, the one who can make the ‘impossible’ possible. turn to Him, call to Him, ask Him! and believe that He will respond.
may Allah aid you and make you from those most beloved to him!

The woman who could see a distance of 3 days
This is the story of a woman called Zarqah al Yamaamah
When Arabs want to say someone has amazing eyesight, they say
 “أبصر من زرقاء اليمامة”
“He has better sight than Zarqaa al Yamaamah”
Zarqaa Al-Yamaamah was a woman from the early Arabian history, from the people of Yamamah. It is said the place Yamamah is named after her.
Her sight could reach the distance of 1 day and night and some reports even say 3 days. So, very far.
On one occasion another tribe was coming to attack her people but they knew about her eyesight so they feared being anticipated. The army carried trees in front of them so that Zarqaa couldn’t see them coming.
She said to her people in lines of poetry:
                           ينفعكم
فليس ما قد أرى بالأمر يحتقر
إني أرى شجرا من خلفها بشر
    لأمر اجتمع الأقوام والشجر
“Take your caution oh people it will benefit you, for what I see is not a matter to be looked down upon, I see trees behind which are men, for this matter people and trees have combined.”
She warned her people of moving trees with men coming towards them but her people didn’t believe her.
The tribe came and attacked her people and destroyed their town.
They captured Zarqaa and took her to the leader of the army.
He asked her: “What did you see?”
She said: “I saw trees behind which were men.”
So he commanded for her eyes to be removed and crucified her and they found her eyes to be filled with Ithmid.
It is said she was the first person to apply Ithmid in her eyes.
In a number of Ahadith it is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used kohl and commanded others to do so.
For example, it is narrated in the Musannaf of Ibn Abi Shaybah, from the hadith of Anas, that the Prophet ﷺ used to apply kohl to his right eye three times, and to his left eye twice.
This hadith was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah. And it was proven in Sunan al-Nasaa’i and Sunan Abi Dawood and elsewhere, from the hadith of Ibn ‘Abbaas رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ  said:
“The best of your kohl is ithmid (antimony), for it makes the vision clear and makes the hair grow (eyelashes).”
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said (in his Zaad al Ma’aad):
“Kohl protects the health of the eyes and gives strength and clarity of vision, and cleanses the eye of bad substances. In addition to that, some types of kohl also serve as an adornment and if it is applied before going to bed this is even better. And ithmid is more efficacious than other types of kohl.”
An important reminder to my sisters:
Kohl/Ithmid is a form of beautification. This means that it is impermissilbe for you to apply and wear it infront of men who are not from your mahrams. As mentioned by Imaam Ibn al Qayyim, the best time to apply it is before bed.
‘Abdullah ibn Mas’uud رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ “Used to dislike ten kinds of behaviour and he (’Abdullah) mentioned amongst them: “Tabarruj by means of displaying beautification in an improper place.”
Imam As- Suyuuti, رحمه الله, said:
“Tabarruj by displaying beautification is showing off to strangers and this is disliked. This is the explanation of “an improper place.”
It is not so if the beautification is done for the husband.

Rabi’a al ‘Adawiyyah
Her name is Umm al Khair, Rabi’a al ‘Adawiyyah bint Isma’il.
She is said to have lived for 80 years and died in 180 AH.
Known to be a pious, covered, ascetic and God-fearing worshipper from Basra.
Rabi’a al ‘Adawiyyah used to pray the whole night, and when dawn came, she lay down for a bit and then got up frightened, saying to herself: “Sleep in the grave is long.”
The narration was related by Imaam al Dhahabi by way of Ibn Abi Dunya: “We were told by Muhammad ibn al Husayn, who said, I was told by Isa ibn Maymum al ‘Attar, who said, I was told by ‘Abda bint Abi Shawwal who used to serve Rabi’a: Rabi’a used to pray the whole night. When morning would come she would lay down till the sky would turn yellow. I used to hear ger say: ‘My soul, how much do you sleep and till what time do you stand up? You might sleep for just a little and never get up until the Day of Resurrection.”
Ibn al Jawzi رحمه الله mentions in his ‘الـمـــدهــش (Al-Mud-Hish)’, Rabi’a the worshipper used to get up to pray in the beginning of the night and say:
The lover has stood up for her hope
And her heart is about to fly away with joy
When the night was over she would say: “No! It has been taken away!” and recite:
The darkness is gone with its intimacy and concord
If only the night and its intimacy would come again
