true tragedy of star wars: the clone wars (2008–2014; 2020) was that it did not have a beach episode.* padmé wants a well-deserved long weekend vacay at a beach and she and anakin are absolutely desperate to turn this into Romantic Beach Getaway so anakin manufactures some nonsense about "a threat to senator amidala's life on the planet of amalfeekoast while the senator Negotiates a treaty (at the tiki bar)!!!" so he can go along but it works a lil too well and so now an entire battalion is going, plus obi-wan and ahsoka. and so now padmé's wearing designer space bikinis on glistening white sand beaches while anakin and the gang are in their standard jedi order-issued swimsuits (seen below: design has to be approved by yoda, has not been updated in two hundred years, all the stripes are different shades of beige). padmé is trying to convince obi-wan that beach volleyball is definitely part of negotiations while anakin angrily grills shrimp on the barbecue and ahsoka is menacing everybody with a squirt gun. a giant sea snake attacks at one point and the jedi miserably fail at trying to kill it before it gets eaten by an even larger octopus. anakin and padmé almost get to have time in the honeymoon suite when the roof of the hotel gets blown off by the confederacy because actually the sea snake was an agent of dooku's. roll credits. next three episodes are about the perils of maritime engagements and ethics of guerilla warfare.

*do NOT try and tell me that the Water War episode was a beach episode, beach episodes are about the BEACH and summer fun, NOT about underwater politics while wearing scuba gear. there wasn't even a beach umbrella, c'mon now
