Anyway, speaking of the Doctor Who TTRPG, I am once again reminded how pathetic the Eighth Doctor sourcebook is

Something I really love about Dr Teeth's character is really just, how much he boosts morale for others around him, motivating them and pushing them to be and do their best, and wanting them to be happy, encouraging hope and positivity in them

A couple of my favourite examples is You Can't Take No For An Answer, because even if MTM is them playing characters and acting, as a large amount of Muppet media often is, they're all playing characters that are very much just themselves put into a situation. So I think it's pretty safe to say You Can't Take No For An Answer pretty solidly is how Teeth actually thinks regarding pushing for what you want and believe in (at least when he's not having a crisis 'cause of his parents)

There's also his attitude during Exile On Main Street in Muppets Mayhem, where he is so insistent that everything will be fine and Animal will come back, even making a couple jokes here and there (which by the way, his insistence shows just how much he's struggling with the issue himself), and it keeps the whole band at least somewhat able to believe it, and then the moment he breaks, the WHOLE BAND emotionally falls apart because he was the one holding onto and encouraging the hope

His positivity and general attitude really helps others around him to keep their own morales up through tough times !!!

donna as the first doctor's companion: like barbara but willing to say fuck. will push back against this old man's bullshit, but will also join him on the most ridiculous shenanigans

donna with two: watch out universe the clown squad's coming at you and they're sillier than ever

donna with three: shouting matches every five minutes. if he even tries to boss her around he gets an earful and a half. the brigadier is in love

donna with four: they hate each other so much. they would die for each other.

donna with five: she bullies this pathetic man so so much, and probably ends up having a one-night stand with tegan

donna with six: they kill each other, there is no other outcome

donna with seven: spends her whole time trying to get him to stop being mysterious for like five fucking seconds

donna with eight: the most tragic and horrific bullshit you have ever seen

donna with nine: ride or die. nine needs an unhinged bossy lady who is willing to match him on his level.

donna with eleven: that is not a time lord, that is a baby, and donna will walk all over him

donna with twelve: once again, they hate each other so so much, but will not let anyone else insult the other

donna with thirteen: unstoppable force meets other unstoppable force. they fall in love

It’s so funny to imagine Wicked from the perspective of one of the normal students at Shiz. There’s this girl and she’s weird and an overachieving nerd and no one likes her, but then the popular girl becomes best friends with her overnight so you guess she’s chill now. They might be sleeping together but no one’s really sure. They’re also low key dating the same guy but you’re not clear on if it’s a polycule situation or a love triangle. Whatever. You’re just trying to study for finals. Your history teacher gets arrested and no explains why. You just hope this won’t effect your grade in the class. The weird nerdy girl gets a letter from the president inviting her to come see him. Wow, that’s exciting. She and her maybe-girlfriend go off to the capitol and you go back to homework and dorm room parties. One day later one of your professors is on the national radio saying that the weird nerdy girl, who used to be her favorite student, is now a terrorist, has stolen the nuclear codes, and is on the run from the government. You are still expected to show up to class tomorrow.

I understand this question may be a little spoilery for those who haven't seen the latest DW. To be opaque/spoiler-minded, but still ask the question, I'm wondering if you think the revelations of the latest episode would interfere/affect the nature or characterization of Idris in "The Doctor's Wife"?

1.  The long awaited return of Bessie

1a. The Doctor starts insisting on Driving Kate everywhere in Bessie while reminiscing about her dad.  ("Good old Brigadier. Always could recognize me no matter what face I had, and absolutely nothing could fluster him. He once met me in my Sixth face, the one with that incredibly colorful coat (not sure what I was thinking back then), when I was traveling with Evelyn, and without missing a beat, said (switches to an impression of him) “To judge by the clothes, the unexpected arrival, and the manner of your greeting, I can only conclude that I know exactly who you are. I take it there’s a police box somewhere in the vicinity.")*

2.  Rose getting to see the Tardis wardrobe Room (it’s like Narnia in here!)

3. Rose (and eventually Donna) trying to get the Doctor to teach them a little Gallifreyan, so he could have someone to actually speak his native language with

3a. Donna and Rose trying to get him to talk about Gallifrey, in general (Because Timeless Child or not, The person we know as the Doctor did actually grow up on Gallifrey, looked into the Untempered Schism, graduated the Academy (if by the skin of his teeth), and earned the title of Time Lord)

4.  Rose introducing her friends to her weird alien uncle

5. The Doctor slowly taking apart every electrical appliance in the house in an attempt to “improve” it

6. The Doctor telling the Nobels about so many of his old friends   (Have I ever told you about Romana?  She was a time lord like me, and she was remarkable lady. She traveled with me in my fourth face.  Eventually became Madam President of Gallifrey, etc)

7. Rose and Shawn realizing the TARDIS is alive

9. The Doctor vs nosy neighbors

10. The doctor talks about that one time he got to actually talk to his oldest, most loyal, best friend in the universe, the TARDIS. Bonus points if they also learn that the doctor stole the TARDIS.  (Or was it the other way around?)

A bit of Dialogue I wrote for Fourteen, Donna, and Rose

the Doctor is underneath the console, tinkering with some obscure TARDIS system, while Rose is sitting with him working on her plushies, and Donna is handing him tools (and snacks). (He's more likely to talk while he's doing something with his hands, and it spares Donna's household appliances from being tinkered with.)

Doctor: I got to actually talk to her once.

Donna: Who?

Doctor: You know, The TARDIS. (Pats console)

Donna: She can talk?

Doctor: Not usually. We got pulled into a pocket universe by an evil planet that eats TARDISes, and he threw her into the body of a human girl.  (Indignant) She bit me!

(With a bit of wonder in his voice) I thought I had stolen a TARDIS and ran away, but it turns out we stole each other, isn’t that right, old girl? I stole you, and you stole me.

For a moment, for one mad, impossible moment, my oldest, best friend in the universe was here, in front of me, and we could talk. Because the thing is, while a TARDIS is alive, and this one more so than most, she can’t directly interact with linear time in the same way that we can. I can feel her, and usually she finds a way to nudge me in the right direction, but she can’t talk in any real way. Not even to me.

Rose: So what happened?

Doctor: Of course, it couldn’t last. The human body just isn’t meant to contain the an atemporal 11th dimensional entity, and that body started burning itself out almost as soon as she got thrown into it. With the matrix gone, the entity, House, took over the TARDIS, and used it to leave to leave the bubble universe he was stuck in, with my companions, Amy and Rory still inside.

We built a makeshift Tardis, from the pieces of all the ones that had been destroyed and managed to get back to my TARDIS with a little help from Amy and Rory. We landed in a secondary control room, and tricked the entity that had taken over into bringing us to the main console, where the Tardis was able to return to her rightful place, and finish it off.

Rose: But that also meant that she had to go back, right?

Doctor:  (quietly) Yeah.

Donna: Oi, come here spaceman! (The Doctor comes out from underneath the console, and they hug)

They break the hug, and Donna considers what he just told them.

Donna: Wait, did you say you stole the TARDIS?

Doctor: Yeah, in my very first life (Darkly, as an aside) That I know about anyway…  (forcibly checks himself)

I was fed up. Fed up with Gallifrey, fed up with the Time Lord’s endless bureaucracy and pontificating. So I snuck my granddaughter, Susan (although that name came later), to the storage room where the decommissioned TARDISes were kept, and we stole one and ran away.

Or maybe the Tardis stole me. She was the one who opened the lock…

She’s always been there for me. Seen me at my best and my worst, and still hasn’t given up on me, even when I’ve given up on myself.  

Rose: Wait, I get it. You two are married, aren’t you?

Doctor: Uh… well, in a matter of speaking, I guess we are.

If we take Soldier Obscura as Canon, Ace would also need to be included in this group. (Although hers would have to say, "I survived Brax erasing my memories of going to the Academy, actually becoming a Time Lady and having my own Tardis. She is confused by this.)
