Emet Selch: Hah! WoL? Dead? Let me tell you something. That bastard is literally impossible to kill. Emet Selch: To prove a theory, I one time tried to just straight-up shoot them with a real-ass gun. The bullet missed, ricocheted off a frying pan on the wall and broke open a cabinet full of bottles which I then tripped on and fell over. Emet Selch: Hurt my pride more than anything.

an entomologist rates ant emojis

Beautiful big almond eye, realistic and full of expression as she gazes gently at you. Elbowed antennae and delicately segmented legs and body. Gorgeous pearlescent sheen like she is glowing. This ant moisturizes. This ant is round and huggable. This ant is a star. 11/10.

Beautifully detailed, lifelike pose but with an unexpected neck and odd antennae, perhaps scared straight. Her eyes suggest she has seen things. Her expression confirms she has seen too much. She is haunted and I want to know more. 7/10.

Floppy antenna, pointy muppet face, oddly posed legs. What is she? She has no waist. May be she is some kind of bee in disguise? I find her unsettling. 3/10.

This ant has an unexplained, double-jointed thorax, and no evidence of a waist. Her four-footed pose suggests that she a centaur rather than an ant. Centaur ants would be cool. I’m not sure what was intended here. 2/10.

Good first impression, kind of bland in the details. This ant has no particular waist to speak of, floppy rather than elbowed antennae, and an inexpressive face. Her color scheme is soft and hazy. I like the sharp angles of her stylishly sophisticated legs. This ant may not know quite were she is going, but she knows how she is getting there. 6/10.

Were you even trying. 0/10

Gasp! This ant is elegant. This ant has a beautiful tapered thorax, a segmented abdomen, alert, elbowed antennae, and a light-footed pose. This ant’s face suggests curiosity and a desire to explore the world. This ant inspires me. I want to be like her. 10/10

3-legged, waistless centaur-ant with strange, limp antennae and a beak. I don’t know what this is? It kind of reminds me of a Hork-Bajir. 1/10, not an ant.

This ant… makes me sad. All of her legs are broken. The MS Paint art style and gradient abuse convey distress. She has a duck beak. Despite this, her expression suggests perseverance and determined cheerfulness. I want this ant to have a better life. I am rooting for her. 3/10

This ant is a bold and challenging mixture of photorealism and caricature. She is broad and low-built and seems very sturdy. She looks like she would help you move. This ant is a dependable friend. 9/10

A picture of an ant from a children’s book. She is wearing little boots. This ant is wrong in every way, and yet I can’t stay mad at her. 7/10

An interesting, top-down view of an ant; her legs are positioned with slightly jarring symmetry. Nevertheless, her overall impression is that of a graceful, stylized design, like a pictograph. She is suitable for adorning fine garments and jewelry or perhaps gracing the walls of a tiny ant church. I like this minimalist ant. 8/10.

This is a termite. -10/10

So like... the bacteria are inside the chicken. And the water goes over the chicken, cause it's meat, not a sponge. What do you accomplish?
Damn they’re going in hard lmao

Grumble Grumble...
Lore breaking? Alex? How DARE you!
My defensiveness about my beloved OC aside, I’d like to explain why the character, as far as I could tell, is entirely lore adhering.
We must go back to where her line begins, to the far east, to the Azim Steppe. The fall of the Uyagir is given no time frame as far as I can tell, so I’m assuming things have been as they are for possibly over a thousand years, or even thousands. Gelmorra would be the next stop.
I’m bad at research, but Ishgardians are descended from the Gelmorrans as far as any information I could find. Therefor this branch of the Uyagir tribe lived among the Gelmorrans after migrating through what is present day Garlemald. Mind au ra are still a bit weird looking and could be mistaken, as the community often does, for voidsent. So, as people already think that’s what you are, might as well act like one and employ transfiguration magics to blend in with the Elezen and Hyur populace.
Now some of you might be thinking “That’s a bit hard to swallow, au ra masquerading as elezens? with magic?” yet each All Saints Wake we don the very forms of other beings, the deep dungeons also feature transfiguration that alters our combat abilities, demonization, turning into sineaters, Ultros, Gilgamesh, it’s all very common.
Thus, merely being descended of Gelmorra and of the Ishgardians who settled Ishgard and were part of the events of the start of the dragonsong war, this particular branch of the Uyagir, the Frostaegis line, are every bit as ishgardian as any of the high houses, complete with the unfortunate fact of dragon blood.
Or am I wrong?

Voebert is evidently ruled, or rather was, by drahn with dark scales... Not sure how I forgot that.
It’s interesting that there appear to be very few Keeper of the Moon -like Mystal on the First. I know of only one so far. (Maybe two, but I don’t remember where the second one was.)
I also don’t think I’ve seen any Xaela.

Pretty sure most of the night's blessed who are drahn are umbra scaled, I recall at least three.
It would make sense that the keeper of the moon equivalents have either gone extinct, into hiding or are just exceedingly rare with the advent of a sky that makes their nocturnal adaptations a severe hindrance at worst.

Crap... It's so trite and played out but this is actually funny.

Hey, you. You’re finally awake. You were trying to save Eorzea from a Calamity, right? Walked right into that imperial ambush, same as us, and those sassy lost elezen twins over there.

✧ First Shard RP Network
✧ Introduction
The FSRPN is a Discord server dedicated to characters who originate from the First Shard! We are currently only accepting applications from characters located on the Crystal Data Center. We are an 18+ roleplay-intensive atmosphere dedicated to lore discussions, character building, and character development. While we are not officially attached to any Free Company or Linkshell, we may host events in the future as well as promote First-centric events hosted by our members.
✧ What are we looking for?
Any and all characters, provided they were born on the First! Whether they have decided to remain in their homeland or have traveled to the Source, all are welcome provided that one basic tenet is satisfied! Haven’t bought ShB yet? No problem! The server is open to all First Shard characters regardless of what zones they can or cannot access.
✧ Lore-abiding
Our server is lore-abiding. This means we allow lore-bending (any type of RP content that falls outside of what has been delineated by the game’s lore) that is feasible within the constraints of FFXIV’s overarching world.
Update: As of 7/3/19, we are now accepting applications for sin eaters on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out all sections of the application as thoroughly as possible if applying with a sin eater character!
✧ Spoiler Policy
We have a 3 month grace period for Shadowbringers, during which time discussion of plot points will only be permitted in 2 of our text channels (#spoilers & #lorespeak).
✧ Apply Here!
Questions, comments, and concerns can be directed to me via Tumblr IM!
