“Sorry, I’m confused. Why did Harry bite you?” Remus tried to ask the teacher politely, feeling Sirius shaking with silent mirth next to him.

“He…well, he grew a bit irrational,” the young teacher said, looking a bit uncomfortable.

“He’s five. All five-year-olds are irrational,” Remus said, not unkindly.

“He got very angry when we were reading Little Red Riding Hood,” she sighed, looking a bit confused. “When I read about the Big Bad Wolf, he…well, he was not happy.”

Instantly, Remus understood, and judging from Sirius’s little, snuffing giggles, he understood as well. “I–alright. We’ll talk to him about biting,” he reassured the teacher. 

She gave him a suspicious look. “You don’t think therapy….?”

“No, he has a…a thing for protecting wolves. It’s alright, we’ll talk to him,” Remus reassured her hurriedly, grabbing Sirius and leading him out the room.

Once they were in the hall, Sirius whispered gleefully, “Well, Harry knows that werewolves aren’t bad, eh, Remus?”

And all Remus could do was grumble.
