This is a controversial take that everyone will hate but it's one thing to feed your kid better, more wholesome food than twinkies and hot pockets daily, it's another thing to force them to adhere to a crunchy granola beige colored diet where they cant share the snacks their peers are eating or have a normal childhood or have fun. None of you were raised like that and if you were you know what im talking about.

All of the liberals with conservative parents and "somehow" their son turns into a suit to school wearing hateful Republican I'm looking directly at you. You reap what you sow.

If you have sons and you bring them around your trump supporter (or other alt right extremest) family you're at fault if your son gets indoctrinated. They bribe little boys with fun dangerous toys, lack of accountability, and subtle hateful commentary. We talk a lot about the alt right pipeline but it starts at home. Do you want your sons growing up to be like your father, uncles, cousins, etc?? If you don't want that you probably shouldn't bring your squishy brained child around men that are bad examples of being a person. Especially if youre white. White supremacy, nationalism, and patriarchy are taught when you permit your relatives perpetuating those things you are socially permitting the behaviors and making it clear that you will permit those behaviors from your sons. Like I'm sorry family is not more important than avoiding fascism and that's what we are facing. Your community needs to start filling the gaps because family isn't automatically a safe community. If you raise your child around role models of accountability, emotional maturity, and respect you'll have a much better result. With trump winning the propaganda machine will be doing double shifts do you really think your son is magically immune from indoctrination?

As someone who loves the environment and frequents aquariums and just enjoys learning about and interacting with ocean life I'm just overwhelmed. What if someday soon we spill something that renders the ocean completely lifeless. As a planet we are at war with ourselves and blindly destroying people by any means necessary. The planet has become another innocent caught in the crossfire. What if all the bombings, oil, chemical, plastic, and other wastes tossed into our ocean is just one massive titration waiting to hit it's equivalence point. I know Kamala Harris stood on the wrong side of things. She underestimated how anti war the average American is and overestimated how many Republicans she could win to her side (common Democrat/ centrist faceplant at this point) but at least she wouldn't be actively announcing that she's wanting to log our national forests or get rid of the endangered species list. She might have even passed a few helpful policies that don't do much but at least slow things down a little. But with trump? Blatantly announcing how badly he wants to pollute everything he can get his Cheeto hands on. From the exploitation of natural resources to conducting military weapons testing he is attempting to make sure that we dont have much longer to live than his 78 year old toddler ass. Anyways he's gonna take that ticking time titration and pour a bunch of reactants into that solution with no monitoring or care given due to restrictions he's getting rid of. God help us all if the ocean dies it traps a LOT of our carbon + all the other crap in air and wed probably die pretty quick once that ecosystem is gone.
