The Necklace

Far far a way there was a young girl who was smart and adorable but she was ugly and her name is Lily. Lily was a smart girl she really like numbers and reading books specially fairytale stories but her mother won't sent her to school because she's afraid for humiliation for having an ugly child.

She's also adorable and friendly but not even single child would like to be her friend because they were afraid of her so she used to have friends in animals that accepts her looks and cherish her. She and her mother lived in an small vintage house and they used to sell vegetables in the market to earn money but her mother won't like her to face the costumers because of being ugly the costumers might be scared so she's the one who manage in the plantation of the vegetables.

Growing up she's the one who plant and harvest the vegetables and she's loving it doing this things make her happy far from the people who humiliates her look at her like she's an animal that can't socialize to the normal people. One day when she's on the forest planting some cabbage she heard a loud voice screaming for help she follow that voice and she fond out that it was a girl who was hanging on the bridge If she will not help that girl she will fall and die so Lily approach the girl and stretch her hand

“Give me your hand I'll help you!” The girl slightly shock but she need to give her hand so she can live and finally Lily saves the girls life.

Then after a minute that girl shines and turns to a beautiful fairy with a glittery pixie wings “Thank you for helping me Lily you always have a good heart” Lily’s still in shock looking straight to the fairy she couldn't believe that fairies really exist

“T-that was nothing” she only said

“Take this necklace as a gift I know yo deserves it” then a necklace appears and she take it “Wear it and you will see what will happen but always be careful” then the fairy disappear.

Lily stayed on the position for a while when she look at the neckle it was a simple but beautiful pearl necklace she wear it then her face shines after a while she hold her hand and she feels that her face feels lighter and smoother she runs into the river and saw her face on the reflection of the water.

She cried because she saw a beautiful lady on the reflection and that was her she looks at the entire place and thank the fairy for giving her another purpose to live she wipe her tears and go the market she finally can go there no fear no hesitation she wants to free herself and see the beauty of their place. When she get there all the people were looking at her specially the guys starting at her seing the beauty that no one compares to other girls in their place all the girls become curious to the face holding it and saying they want to have that kind of skin that Lily have. She has a lot of friends that she won't believe that will happen.

One day when she's at the forest picking some potatoes wearing the necklace omeone approach her It was a tall and handsome guy smiling towards her It was her crush when they were still a kid he become taller and more handsome.

Lily said to herself this is the right timing to get closer to this guy she can even see that this guy admires her

“Good Morning Miss” he said

“Good Morning too” she said

“My name is Peter can I help you picking those potatoes?” He ask

“My name is Lily sure you can help me” she said they become friends and later on they use to meet at the forest often.

Peter was not only captivates about how beautiful Lily is but also with her beautiful heart Lily and Peter fall in love to each other but Lily was worried If Peter know about her real appearance would Peter still love her the same. Weeks and months passed their relationship was perfectly stable they were happy and contented to the things that they do when they were together they used to go to the market to buy some sweets and Peter was amaze that all the guys were looking to Lily and it makes him so lucky to have her.

When Lily’s in her room she look at the mirror wearing the necklace given by the fairy she was so pretty the she take off the necklace and she saw her real face she cried because she's afraid on the possibilities that may happen but she wipe her tears and think positive that Peter will accept the truth because she believes that Peter’s truely love her.

While planting some vegetables someone approach her its a girl staring at her and it looks like she's mad

“Stay away from Peter he's mine!” the girl shouted her

“Wait who are you?” Lily asked

The girl grabbed her hair “You just hear me stay away from her” she's truly mad

“Get off me you're crazy” Lily shouted cause she's already hurt

Peter arrived and run towards them “Hey get off Lily you're hurting her!” Peter said

“No you're only mine please come back to me.” The girl said

“Wait do you know each other?” Lily asked

Peter finally separated them he was so mad to the girl by hurting Lily

“Brenda do not touch Lily again or else your regret it!” He warned

Brenda cried and run away. Lily asked him about that girl and Peter said that Brenda has a big obsession to him all the girls that with her even just a friend she always make a war with them but Peter promise that Brenda won't bother them he won't allow her.

One day Lily is in her room singing while touching her necklace happy because of the love of Peter her but she doesn't know that Brenda is stalking her she's watching behind the tree Lily take off her necklace and Brenda saw the real face of Lily she's so shock them he thinks a bad idea to ruin Lily and Peter. The day of their first anniversary they were so happy when they were about to kiss each other Brenda appears the she grab the necklace and laugh Brenda hold her face she started crying Peter was so shock when she saw the real face of Lily but It doesn't matter at all he really loves Lily even with an ugly face.

Brenda was angry because even Peter saw the real face of Lily it doesn't bother him so she broke the necklace by using a rock all of a sudden Brenda and Lily float in the air and glow they switched Brenda’s face turns into an ugly face and Lily’s face turns into a beautiful face. Brenda walk away she run so fast and Lily and Peter hug each other.

THE GOLDEN VOICE

Meet Ana a young and beautiful girl Who lives at a far far away

Her house is tiny and dusty

A only daughter of Leo and Mary

Her mom has a noodle hair

Her dad has a owl eyes

Who are strict and lazy

They doesn't even care for Ana

Ana is so pretty and loved

By the people who sees her

But she is insecure for being fat

Lacking on her room

With watery eyes

Seeing herself to a mirror

Wishing that she will be tiny

When the sun arise

While laying on her bed curbing

Singing a lullaby to make her sleep

Ana has a golden voice that has sprinkles on it

Everyone who hear her golden voice

Cultivate and have hearts on there eyes

Every women who hear her admire her golden voice

Every men who hear her voice fall in love with her

One day Ana goes to the market

To buy some supplies for there home

Cause her parents are crazy as nothing

She bought some fresh fish catch from the deep sea

Also she bought some vegetables as fresh from harvest

She's happy doing to the market because she loves food

She loves to eat a lot extremely

The comfort that she needs love gaves that comfort thats why she love food

Her favorite food is fried chicken that deeps to a boiling oil in a high heat

She also loves rice that full of cabs that makes her big and bloated

Her favorite dessert is ice cream that flows of sprinkles and fluffy marshmallows

While she's cooking for there dinner

She sings her favorite song and its so beautiful to hear

Even birds are also singing with her

And the mouses are dancing while listening to them

She's cooking some delicious food

Favorite of her parents and her

She's also talented on cooking delicious dish

She's preparing the table for dinner

While singing her favorite song that's high above in the sky

When her parent approach the table

While staring badly at her

When she notice she stop singing

“Stop singing you really think your voice is that good to hear” her mom said

“If you want to shout go outside and scrim there” her dad said

She become sad while eating the food that see cooks for her family

There's a lot of things that playing into her mind

Why of all the people who will not support her why her parents

When she's on the middle of eating

She cried and runs to her room without saying anything

She's all alone to her room crying quietly

While crying she started singing

The room started to light up golden

The birds and mouses start to approach her

Her friends feel her sadly emotion

While seeing her friends admire her voice She smile and touch them sweetly and softly and her friends also hug her hands

She approach the windows and look up

She mesmerized about the beauty of the stars above the sky with a bright light coming out from the plate moon

Bright sunny day birds are flying rounded

She went first to the bathroom to clean herself and brush her white teeth

Roasters are hungry and cows too

She go down she grab a bread to eat

When she opens the door a windy blows her and she smile cause its so refreshing

She feed all her friends in the backyard

She doesn't have any friends so that birds, mouses and a lot of friends in there backyard also in the forest

While walking singing with the birds on the forest she place herself to a falls that has a beautiful clear water that fish are visible

There's no one around so she louder her singing voice that echoing to the place

She doesn't have any idea that someone

is walking slowly and quiet near to her

When she notice someone she stop singing and notice a boy who's staring at her while smiling “Why di you stop your voice is very beautiful its not ordinary” he said

Ana look away cause she can't look the face of a handsome boy she just smile

They talk for a while the boy really admire Ana he's eyes sparkles a lot looking straight to her it gives a little chills and a blush on her face until the boy ask her name

“By the way, what's your name? the boy ask

“Im Ana” she said

“What a lovely name, Im Marko” he said

“Nice meeting you Marko” Ana said

They become friends Ana has a friend now

Marco ask her If she is aware for the up coming talent show that will happen at the market and it has a prize If you win

Ana smile and her eyes full of happiness

She wanted to join to that talent show

But she has two major problems first is her insecurity to her body she is frighten to go up to the stage and people will laugh at her

And the second one is her parents whould not allow her to join to that talent show

Her happy face turns into a sadly face and she cry a lot that she may not fulfill her dream to sing in front of many people

Marko holds her hand and ask her “Whats wrong Ana? You can talk to me if you want? he said then he confort Ana by hugging her

When Ana’s emotion calms Marko just wait for her to speak and share she don't want to pressure her to tell what's really the problem

Ana breathe out heavily and she look to Marco and say to herself “maybe I can trust him” Ana smile to him and Marco also smile

Then she breathe again and start telling what really the reasons that she can make it to the talent show even she really want

Then Marko understand the situation he had a first solution to that by talking properly to her parents and believing to herself

The second one if her parents still didn't allow her its up to her to break the roles and follow her dreams to sing in front of people

They meet again to there hidden place and each of the tells about their lives what family they have and what they like

Suddenly Ana feel sorry for herself because Marco has a lovely family that loves him and treat him well

Marco holds her hand and tell her that the right time will came that her parents will be change and love her for the rest of their lives

When Ana came home she prefers the food for there dinner and still thinking the advice that Marco said earlier she can't focus to eat

After eating she wash dishes and go to her room sitting on the window looking to the star in the sky and singing that makes her relax she decided to talk to her parents first

She think positively that her parents will allow her to sing to the talent show

Thanks to Marco she had a friend to lean on

The next day which is actually the day of the talent show while preparing to their lunch she speak up to her parent if she can join the talent show and give them a lovely smile but her parents get mad and her mother shout out her saying “You will never go to the talent show can you be shy look at yourself your so fat you can't win that contest understand!”

She was drugged by her father and lock up to her room she's crying loudly didn't except that it will happen that worst

She sit on the corner of her room and cry

Looking to the clock she need to get out of that room and go to the market and sing

She wants to open her parents eyes that even she's fat she can win that she can make them proud

There's someone throw on her window luckily its Marco he knew that Ana’s parents will not allow her to sing so he proceed to the second plan which is breaking the roles

Ana wipe her tears and change she wear her favorite dress and she put some make up to be more presentable to people

They tied up the blanket that she had on her room to make a rope to get down and it was successful

They run to go to the market as soon as possible holding hands and with a bright smiles to there faces

When they arrive to the talent show wa already started but she still can perform They filled up the form and prepare for her turn while waiting she look at Marco and say thank you for all things that he did for her and they hugged each other

It's her turn now she walk to the middle of the stage and smile to the people her chest running as fast but she think that she can do it looking to Marco which is her source of bravery the piano started to play and she started singing a few lines of the song

Her parents followed her to the market and they hear the true beauty of theirs daughters golden voice and the people was mesmerized about what they hear its a cotton to the ears and cloud to the feelings

Her parents realize what they did and they cried watching and listening to their daughter smiling and looking to her

She notice that her parents are there and she can see her though their eyes their repentance and happiness when the people cheering for her when she hit the high note

Ana won the talent show and fulfill her dream to sing for the people

The people acknowledge her for having a golden voice to their village

When she walk down to the stares her parents approach her crying saying “We're really sorry our daughter” they they hugged Ana she also hugged them back because even she's mad at them she still love them as a parents

She look at them and says “I already forgive you Mother and Father” while crying her parents also say “We so proud of you you're such a gift to us”

Ana introduce Marco to her parents saying “Mother Father this is my friend who helps me to get her and he also encourage me to join to this talent show” Her parents smiles to him saying “Nic meeting you and thank you” Marco smiles back saying “Its my honor to meet you maam and sir”

They invite Marco to have dinner with them to their house

When they already home Ana was shocked because she usually does preparing but now her parents do it for her she actually have teary eye for so much joy and happiness

They eat dinner with full of laughter and naughtiness that Ana didn't really realized that will happened

Her parents finally changed and become a real parents to her They are the one who cooks for the family and the one feed the animals backyard and finally she feels the love that she really wanted and deserve

Marko and Ana still meets at the falls and they know that they already feelings to each other

After ten years, Ana and Marco become married and blessed with two daughters Lori and Mori who also have golden voices like there mother they lived on a small house at the forest beside the falls where they meet each other

This small house was full of love and caring for each other they also have plenty of friends backyard

Swimming to the falls was the most favorite for their children as a bonding

While swimming they used to sing a song that feel them a love and family that they must treasure for a long time

Ana teach her daughters to love each other and always look to each other

Ana and Marco hug their children and they live happily ever after

Maharlika

In a place far away from people there are living creatures who are called Maharlika. They are creatures that resemble us humans but have a different nature that only they are capable of doing. In the kingdom of maharlika there is a queen named Queen Aurora. She has four daughters they are Bella the most beautiful and eldest of the siblings, Allura is the second of the siblings and the strongest of the four, Hellar is the smartest but has a weak heart, and Ahava the youngest of the siblings was loving but strong -willed. One of their four will be chosen to succeed the Queen in due course. And since they are young they don’t think about being queen except for their second sister Allura. Alurra as a child wanted to be a queen and succeed her mother in ruling the royal kingdom so she often practiced using the sword rather than playing with her other siblings.

Hellar: Allura, come and join us Bella and Ahava we will play in the jungle.

Allura: No Hellar, I'd rather practice using a sword than play with yours. Because one day I will be the next queen in our kingdom.

Hellar, Bella and Ahava went to the forest and played. When they finished playing, they talked about being queen.

Bella: Hellar and Ahava how will our mother choose who will replace her?

Ahava: None of us knows how the queen will do in choosing the new queen of the Kingdom.

Bella: Why does Allura seem so sure that our queen mother will choose her?

Hellar: She believes that she deserves to be compared to us, because she is the strongest.

Ahava: But not being strong is the basis Hellar.

Hellar: But I just don't want to be queen of the kingdom.

Bella: Why?

Hellar: Because when you become queen you can't fall in love with anyone maharlika.

The three have returned to their kingdom to groom themselves, as their queen mother's birthday will be celebrated. While the guests were happy something suddenly exploded and the evil maharlikas arrived along with the queen’s sister Avria. It holds the queen’s second child Allura and utters the words I will overthrow the entire royal kingdom and with you my sister Aurora and your children. The queen could do nothing but fight her sister to defend the kingdom and her heirs. Eventually the queen wins and defends the kingdom but her sister has a word that it will return to permanently overthrow the kingdom. Even though the queen won, she was still not complacent because of her sister’s words.

Because of what happened the queen decided to train her heirs. He instructed the chief soldier, Agimar, to train his children in warfare because he was the best at holding a weapon.

Aurora: Chief Agimar I want you to train my children in fighting so that they can defend themselves in case an enemy comes.

Agimar: Okay dear queen. Right now I will summon them to begin their training.

From that day on the heirs began to take up arms and practice fighting. Every day they spend three hours practicing the use of the sword and since they are just kids they don't practice seriously until one day ...

Ahava: Chief Agimar, can we rest now? we are tired.

Bella: Yes leader Agimar, maybe tomorrow we can continue training?

Agimar: No way, we have three hours of training you still have one hour left. Keep practicing.

Allura: (Her siblings whisper and listen) Come on and let's run away from our trainer.

They ran away from their trainer and played alone in the forest of hideout.

MANY YEARS LATER AND SILENCE REMAINS IN THE MAHARLIKA KINGDOM

The time has also come for the queen to choose her successor to rule the kingdom.

Aurora: Many years passed Brisa and I were getting older and failing. It's time for me to choose from my children who will replace me.

Brisa: But dear queen which of your children do you want to be the next queen?

Aurora: I don't know Brisa, but I hope to win the game is the one who deserves and has good intentions for the kingdom.

Brisa: Game?

Aurora: Yes Brisa a game will tell who deserves their four.

The whole council was summoned along with the four heirs to let them know it was time for the kingdom to elect a new queen. The eyes of the four can see the eagerness to know who is the next queen of the four. It can also be seen in Allura's eyes that she is ready to do anything to be the next queen.

Aurora: I call you all to witness the election of the next queen of our kingdom. One of my four children will be appointed to be my successor.

Brisa: To find out which of the queen's four children will be appointed next to her, the four princesses will have a game and whoever wins the game will be the next queen. Tonight the game will begin, get ready princesses

The princesses go to her her room to get ready. Because the said game will start soon and none of them knows what kind of game will happen.The time has come for the game to be held and the princesses are ready as well.

Agimar: This game is a game that uses strength, intellect and heart. Whoever of the princesses gets the key of the kingdom from your opponent will be appointed the next queen of the kingdom.

Allura: This game is so easy for me, I'm the next queen.

Ahava: Don't be complacent Allura I won't lose to the opponent I'll get the key from him.

Bella: Get ready my sisters.

Agimar: Who among you wants to face the enemy first?

Allura: Ahava will be the first, after all, she is the weakest and youngest of our siblings.

Hellar: Me! I will be the first to fight him.

And Hellar was the first to fight to be the next queen but because the opponent was so strong he easily defeated Hellar. But Hellar was happy because she could marry whomever she wanted. The youngest daughter of the queen Ahava followed the test and she too was defeated by it. Allura and Bella faced the opponent at the same time but it was very strong and even the two of them had a hard time defeating it. The two had different decisions on how to get the key to the opponent. Allura intends to kill the opponent to get the key. As Bella befriends it so the opponents gives her the key. As the opponent handed the key to Bella, Allura suddenly stabbed the opponent and took the key in her hands. Allura leaves Bella and the protagonist in that area and she returns to the kingdom.

The four princesses have returned to the kingdom with joy and sadness in their eyes. Allura was overjoyed because she was the one who got the key held by the opponent. But she did not know that the queen had a different meaning about the key of the kingdom. The queen had already announced who would be next to her and the four princesses of Bella’s name were surprised by what she said.

Hellar: I'm happy with your success Bella.

Ahava: I also happy for your success.

Allura: No! can't be queen mother, I'm the winner of the game.

Aurora: My child, Allura I am not referring to that key but to having concern for the creatures that inhabit the maharlika whether opponent or ally.

Allura could not accept the mother's decision and it planted anger in her and the siblings. it betrayed the kingdom and approached the queen's sister Avria to oppose the Royal kingdom.

Avria: What is my sister’s second child doing and is she here? Are you here to facilitate your passing?

Allura: I did not come to fight, but to join in overthrowing the queen of the maharlika.

Avria: What happened and you want to overthrow your queen mother’s kingdom?

Allura: Don't ask that many questions. will you help me?

Avria: If you want the two of us to get along, but how can we defeat the queen if she holds four magical wand?

Allura: Three, only three of them, because the fourth one is with me.

Avria: Well done my niece.

Allura: (Laughs) will you help me now

Avria: At the right time we will attack the kingdom of Maharlika.

In the kingdom the former queen also finds out that one of the powerful wands she guards is missing. He immediately summoned his three daughters Bella, Ahava and Hellar to inform it and announce the battle he felt between the evil maharlika and the good maharlika.

Aurora: I summon you all to say that one of the four powerful wands is missing and I feel that there is an impending war between us and the evil maharlika. Bella as the new queen of the kingdom this is the first war you will lead so prepare yourself. And as a former queen I want to share three powerful wands with my three children Bella, Hellar and Ahava to be their new heir and guardian.

The former queen has already shared the three remaining powerful wands with her children. It gave the wand capable of controlling the human mind to Hellar who was his third child. And Ahava has the wand that makes love and has the ability to control wind and water. And gave the new queen Bella the wand that can fix and beautify all the bad things that happen. When the powerful wands were given to the children someone suddenly shot the former queen and it caused her death. Everyone was shocked by what happened and searched for the source of the murder of their mother but they did not find out.

The former queen is buried and any moment from now on the war between the wicked and the good maharlika will also come.

A few days later, war broke out between the two camps. The rivals faced the beach and waited to see if any of them wanted to surrender.

Bella: Allura, let's not start this war anymore (queen shouts)

Allura: Are you kidding Bella, or are you scared because you know you are a poor queen and you don't deserve to take our mother's place. (She says angrily)

Ahava: Stop that Allura.

Allura: You stopped Ahava my weak sister (laughs)

Hellar: Bella, it looks like our sister has no intention of giving up.

Because none of them wanted to give up any time the war would start.

The war had begun, many were wounded and many were killed in the two camps. Still neither of the two camps wanted to surrender. The siblings confronted with Avria. The queen fought her sister Allura and the two confronted Avria.

Bella: Stop it Allura, accept that I am the chosen queen of our kingdom.

Allura: I should have been our mother’s choice, not you.

Bella: Our mother Allura is gone, forgive her.

Allura was shocked to learn that her mother was gone, and this was what weakened her.

Ahava: Bella we need your help. (Shouts)

Avria: I will end you like I killed your mother.

The four siblings find out that Avria shot and killed their queen mother. The four were very angry when they found out and grew stronger and they eventually worked together to win the war. They defeated Avria and imprisoned her at the top of the palace to suffer for her sins.

When the war was over, silence was restored to the Maharlikal Family and Allura accepted that Bella was the rightful queen of the kingdom.

The Importance of Education”

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a difficult life. His wife died of a chronic illness, but he was always thankful because he had a wonderful son named Lucas. His son wants to study and become a pilot, but the poor man can’t afford to send him to school.

“Dad, I want to be able to study so that I can fulfill my dreams for the two of us” Lucas said.

Because of the struggles of life, even though the father wants to help his son achieve his goals, he can’t.

“Son, I told you that my income is insufficient for you to study, just help me grow vegetables so that we can eat day after day” father said to his son.

One day, the boy went outside a school and stood there, crying as he saw students entering the school wearing neat uniforms and carrying neat bags.

“I’m just here, I won’t be able to fulfill my dreams.”

When an older man saw him, the boy began weeping.

‘’I always see you in front of this school but you’re not entering and always crying what’s your problem?’’ said an older man.

He was surprised and expressed his regret. “I want to be able to go to school, but we don’t have enough money to do so.”

When the old man told the boy’s father about his dilemma, something unexpected happened.

“Good day sir, I frequently see your son at my school, and I would like to give him the opportunity to learn” says the man.

“I’m sorry, but we don’t have enough money for that and were contented with our current situation.” Father said to the old man.

Lucas replied. “But dad, my dream is to be able to study.”

“If that’s the case, I’ll teach him for free at my school” the old man replied instantly.

The good news from the old man made the son and father happy right away.

The old man encouraged the boy to continue his education, and he was awarded a scholarship to study abroad, where he eventually became a successful pilot.

He returned to his father and took him to the United States, where he felt ecstatic and fortunate to have such a good life.

When months and years passed by after Lucas became a successful Pilot he meet again the old man who helped him achieve his big dream.

“Good day Sir, I’m happy to see you again.” Lucas said.

“Hey Lucas! I’m glad to see you again and I’m so proud of you” the old man replied.

“I’m very thankful Sir for your big help to get this position.” Lucas said.

“And I’m satisfied that you do a great job and I have nothing to worry about.” old man replied.

Afterwards, the old man invites Lucas for a dinner. They enjoy their foods and the same time they talk about life. Suddenly, the old man asked, “Where is your Dad?”

Lucas begins to feel sad and teary eyes.

“He passed away last year Sir because of heart disease.” Lucas replied to the old man with his head down.

“Oh, I’m so sorry Lucas.” said the old man.

When that crucial time begins to enter Lucas’s life he wants to stop to continue achieving his dreams because he wants to take care of his father who suffering a heart disease. Lucas discouraged to continue and confused what he put first.

After that they, the old man visits Lucas in his office.

“Hi Lucas! Can I come in? the old man asked.

“Hey Sir! yes please come in.” Lucas replied.

“I have something to ask you.” Old man said.

“What is that Sir?” Lucas confusedly replied.

“You already know, I’m not having my own child right?” the old man asked.

“Yes Sir” Lucas said.

“So, if you allow me to be your father, I’m willing and happy with that.” The old man said to Lucas.

Lucas stops and crying over the old man.

They decided to live in the same house and live the life what they want and become a family.

Sometimes in life you won’t expect something to happen but there are people that willing to help and encourage you to achieve any dreams that you want. More than that even you almost or you’re already in the peek of your dream you didn’t forget where you came from and who helped you to become successful.

The person who was on the verge of dying due to financial difficulties was able to obtain everything through education. That is why education is so crucial for us, it is the secret to our success. Education is an essential tool that imparts knowledge to improve one’s life. It is a journey that accompanies achievements, struggles, success, failures, importance and efforts.

Sheryl is a college student pursuing a degree in tourism management, but some people are suspicious of her path due to her appearance. Sheryl's chubby body makes it impossible for her to resist being judged by others. Every day, she has a difficult time dealing with people who believe that obese people like Sheryl are unworthy of respect and are incapable of accomplishing something. She, on the other hand, does whatever she wants and proves that chubby people have advantages as well. They have the ability to offer warm hugs. Sheryl still sees the bright side of any negative remark she hears from others. Her mother informed her that nothing was wrong with her or the course she was actually enrolled in. Her mother often prepared and served her food, and she was unconcerned with her physical appearance. She doesn't give a damn what other people have to say about her body.

Once in a while, the school administration organizes an event or pageant that is open to the public as part of their advocacy. Sheryl saw the announcement on their bulletin board and wanted to participate. She went to the student council office for registration and to let them know he wanted to compete in the pageant. She came home from school and informed her mother that she had registered to participate in the pageant at their school. Her mother is so proud of her daughter that she wants to end body shaming. She advises Sheryl that no matter what happens, she should fight for her dreams and show that no matter what others say, she should not let it bring her down. When the pageant day arrived, all of the judges were blown away by Sheryl's advocacy. Sheryl was the one who took home the crown after the event.

Sheryl was delighted with herself for overcoming body shame and winning the pageant. Sheryl is, after all, a famous figure at their school. She shows that being chubby is no different from being a normal person. They can also help by assisting people in being and embracing who they really are. Sheryl is eternally grateful to God for providing her with a loving mother who is always by her side and understands her plight. She still says that we're all equal in God's eyes, no matter who or what we are.

Body Shaming

Body Shaming is any time you talk or think negatively about your body or someone else’s. With the rise of social media, body shaming has become more and more common.While it’s obvious that saying mean things about someone’s body is hurtful to them, it’s just as harmful to say those things to yourself. Focusing on your physical flaws hurts your self-esteem (how could it not?). Plus, those who think negatively become less outgoing and have smaller social networks compared to people who are positive about themselves. Ready to rid the world of body shaming?

Stop negative self-talk. First thing’s first: Cut the negative comments when looking at yourself in the mirror. The more you tell yourself that you have wimpy arms or that your belly is too big, the worse you’re going to feel. Be aware of your thoughts and if you say something you wouldn’t say out loud to your best friend, stop. Instead, focus on something you do like, like your great smile or haircut – we know you’re beautiful.

Make your body feel good. One of the best ways to stop body shaming is to start admiring everything your body can do for you, like powering you through a quick run, yoga class or walk with your dog. Do something that makes you feel strong and happy, then afterwards, make sure to thank your body.

Look at women around you. Most people around you probably don’t have that supermodel figure you see in the magazines, but they’re still beautiful in their own ways. Don’t forget that you are, too!

Quit judging other body types. The world is full of all shapes and sizes and often people can’t control the body style they were born with. No matter what kinds of bodies you see in the mall or at the gym, try not to judge them, even in your own head. By allowing everyone to be themselves, you’ll become more comfortable with your own flaws as well.

Make a list of things you love about yourself. Jot down some of your favorite features to look back on when you’re feeling down – and don’t just focus on physical things. Also include your great sense of humor, amazing children and skill at making the world’s best scrambled eggs.

There are negative attitudes and stereotypes in the media and elsewhere towards plus size people. A backlash against body shaming has resulted in the coming of the term itself in attempts to bring a more positive attitude toward diverse body size and styles. There are many people out there working towards putting an end to body shaming as well as the stereotype that goes along with being plus size. Body shaming is wrong and needs to stop. Have you ever heard, or said to yourself, I’m too fat I’m chunky I’m obese I wish I was thinner if only I were smaller, then you have practiced what is known as body shaming, and you’re not alone. Many things influence this negative image that some have of their body. Body image and self-esteem go hand in hand. Body image includes how we perceive our bodies visually how we feel about our physical appearance how we think and talk to ourselves about our bodies our sense of how other people view our bodies our sense of our bodies in physical space and our level of connectedness to our bodies . Feeling ashamed about your body is what many people seen as overweight struggle with. Poor body image increases the risks for extreme weight control behaviors such as extreme dieting exercise compulsion laxative abuse vomiting smoking. Many people are embracing their body no matter what the scale says. They are going to extremes to show the positive side of being plus size.

Let us make each other realise that fat, tall, short, or thin are not insults but just characteristics. A number on the weighing machine cannot determine our worth. Losing weight is not our life’s work and counting calories is not the call of our soul.

Like with any other from of bullying, body shaming will always be present unless you stick up for yourself in a positive and healthy way. It is important to practice self-love and try to not let negative comments bother you.

Body Shaming is known as criticizing or humiliating someone by making impolite comments on an individual’s body shape or size. Body Shaming is a subject that has been recently brought to light with the use of social media, some of people, many celebrities and few individuals have talked about body shaming. Generations and generations have passed and as the years go by, the problems seems to get worse. Comment like “you should go on a diet” or like “ should put more meat on your bones” this are both overused. UNEXPECTED LOVE AUTHOR: Ma. Angel a Gonzales

“Love is one of the most unexpected yet happy feeling in this world and I’m glad I felt it.” Love is powerful. It is something that gives you strength and weakness at the same time.

I’m Nicole Ann Garcia. 25 years old. I’m a Registered Nurse at Asian Hospital in Marikina. This is my love story.

I fell in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time. I felt love years ago. And still, at this age, I am still feeling it. Not just a love from my parents, but also love from somebody else. Loved from a guy named Sebastian . Sebastian is not my first love.

I met Sebastian three years ago at coffee shop. Little did I know that she would steal my heart and become an intimate part of my life. I believe in saying “Love at first sight.”“He was a very charming and talented man. He always singing to me. It made me fall for him deeper.” I came from a broken heart when I met him. I don’t believe in love, I thought all men were the same, I was afraid to fall in love again.

And one time Sebastian picked me up in my work and we go together in my favorite coffee shop. In the long run of our dating I fall in love with him. I told myself I didn’t want to enter relationship, but he is different. Totally different from my past relationship I felt special everytime we are together.

As times goes by we are finally in a relationship we are happy together. And I’m happy in my decisions of my life I always choose to be happy even if I know I will get hurt.

“Will you marry me?” Sebastian said to me.

I’m surprised, I just stared into his eyes I didn’t know what to say I don’t know if I should give my yes. I’m scared. I felt mixed emotions, but I love him. For so many times I give my yes. He is very happy.

“Let’s start planning our wedding I want us to get married soon”

I was happy and I knew he was happier. Every woman dreams of getting married and this is one of my dreams. But why do I feel this way.

I went to my mother house to say that I am getting married I know my mother will happy to my decisions this is one of my mothers dreams to me. Becauce she does not experienced to get married.

“I’m happy for both of you . But Nicole I know your scared I’m always here for you no matter what happen . Don’t be afraid to love. Don’t be afraid to lose. Always remember that, in love we take risks.”

My wedding day has come. All my family all my loved ones is happy for me. Everything is okay, everything is all set up. I’m the only one just waiting to enter the church. My Sebastian and all my family waiting for me. I slowly walked into the church. Everyone look at me. I started crying I see Sebastian crying. But in the middle of the ailes I stop I ran out of church. Everyone is shocked, I heard Sebastian calling my name. I kept running. I don’t know where I’m going. I cry.

“I’m not ready to get married but I loved him so much. I didn’t deserved to be loved. We will have a lot of problems if I continue the marriage.I am dominated by my fear. I want him to be happy.

Sebastian called me, but I didn’t answer I want to go far away, His family is very kind to me. I do not seem to face his family especially Sebastian.I want to suffer what I did to them. I go to my mom house, I cry to my mom. “ I apologized for what happened.”

As the time goes by I accept the fact that I and Sebastian will not come back. I always check his facebook account, He really moved on, and actually he getting married in two weeks. I cry when I saw the girl with him in the picture, I saw my bestfriend Cristina she will marry Sebastian, I know a lot about cristina she is very kind and beautiful. She deserved Sebastian and Sebastian also deserved Cristina. I’m happy for them. I could see in his eyes that he loved Cristina so much. I’m glad he’s happy. He deserved to be loved.

I’m in the process of my life that I am rebuilding my self to be the best version. I want to be ready. I don’t want anymore to get hurt. I wish if I was enter again in relationship I was ready to give myself and no more fear to be loved.

“Finally I’ve moved on already.”

“I’ve learned a lot of what happens, Don’t love if you’re not ready. Don’t enter into a relationship if you know you will get hurt. It’s good to love but everyone has pain in return.I’m telling you guys, losing is the best thing. If you fall you won’t know, somebody there was ready to catch you.”

Premise: Lot of us have the chance to change.

Characters : Maxine Magno – A girl with a golden spoon in her mouth but it seems like love doesn’t meant for her.

Nathan Salazar – A brave Policeman who’s very responsible on the oath of his service.

Settings : Manila & La Union , Philippines

Maxine is a fresh graduate on the course of Bachelor of Science in Criminology and because of her perseverance and being a studious person , she took the board exam . Luckily, she passed it and all of her family and friends are proud of her. She can’t still believe where she is right now and it can be seen in her eyes. All her social media accounts are full of greetings congratulating her . Maxine’s family decided to celebrate her success. All her neighbors can smell the delicious food that they will offer to their family, friends and for their neighborhood too . It seems to be perfect because Maxine has everything . Beauty, smart , kind, responsible, wealth, sweet and caring daughter to her parents but there’s no perfect at all because she still can’t find her the one. She is an only child that’s why her parents are very protective towards her. Traveling is one of her favorite things to do every time she has free time. One day , she decided to clean her bedroom. She found their old album under her bed and thinking if she can go back to La Union since she hasn’t been able to go there for a long years. She was so little on the photo and while staring at it she started to remember all the things she did on that beach. She can still remember that her Mom used to put sand on a jar in every beach they went for a souvenir . She immediately go to her mother’s bedroom and ask if she can see all the souvenirs .While holding a jar full of sands from San Juan Beach, La Union , she said to herself that maybe on that place she might be able to meet her “the one” . Lot of guys tried to climb on her walls but they kept showing some red flags. She asked her parents a permission to go there and her reason was that vacation serves as a gift to herself for achieving all the achievements she have at the moment. She miss the salt water, the sand , fresh air and she wants to try all the adventures waiting to her on La Union.

When she arrived , she can feel the fresh air touching her face and body that brings calmness to her. She fixed all her things also and took a bath. She wear a nice swimsuit because she have the confidence and she wants to inspire other women that we might have the imperfections but we are all beautiful and unique on our own way. When she got on her rented hut, she immediately arranged her belongings and paddled into the sea. The night was getting darker when she decided to have a drink at a bar near where he was staying. He is not aware that he is already drinking a lot and seems drowsy due to the alcohol that sinks on her mind. A man approached her , he was so elegant and decent -looking man. He tells her to go home because her condition is dangerous because she is drunk. The man also found out that she was at the bar just to have fun and to find her “the one”. While they were talking, Maxine suddenly fell asleep so the decent – looking man immediately picked her up and the man decided to take her to the nearest Barangay because she had no companion or acquaintance there. When she woke up, she was very surprised because she no longer remembered what happened and why she was in the barangay. The Barangay staff explained everything to her and clarified that nothing bad had happened to her and to the decent – looking guy, he also introduced himself as "Nathan”. She rested all day and the next day she went back to the bar to see if the man who helped her was there. She was supposed to go home to Manila but she decided to look for it first before returning. While she was enjoying swimming at the sea, a man caught her attention but she waited for the man to talk to her first. They immediately got along well with each other but she didn't know how he would react when she found out that the man was Nathan who helped her last night when she was drunk. She felt ashamed first but it disappeared immediately when they are talking to each other. They stared to each other like there is no tomorrow. She also found out that Nathan was just taking his vacation there also. He accompanied her to Manila the next day so that Maxine won’t travel alone again. They have parted ways but they exchanged all their social media accounts so they can still have communication. In the evening, Maxine’s friend call her to have fun at the bar they used to go. She has no sleep and no rest at all but she can’t find words to say “no” to her friends. While they are enjoying the vibes , some men approached them if they can sit with their group . She was shocked when they were sitting next to their squad and just a few shots later they was immediately hit as if his eyes were rolling and she could only hear screams until he completely lost consciousness. She seemed to be dreaming when she woke up that they were already inside the precinct. Maxine’s eyes are widened when she saw Nathan in uniform and told him "I'm sorry". Nathan turned out to be a SWAT Police and one of the responders at the bar because the said bar was already in an under-surveillance and police stations received a report that the sale of ecstasy was widespread there. It is against his will to arrest the girl but this is his sworn duty and he is responsible for that mission.

Maxine and her friends were also released immediately because they were found innocent and were also among the victims. She overcame an unforgettable nightmare and chose to not go back on their bar hopping lifestyle. She wants to start over because the change starts within ourselves . There is no right time or wrong time to seek for a betterment for yourself. She tried to forget Nathan and tried to distract herself. She decided to pursue her studies at Law School. Seven years later, she also passed the bar exam and became a top-notcher. She is now a full -fledged lawyer and she decided to spare her friends and return to La Union to celebrate her victory. As they surrounded the bonfire they made, she saw a familiar face and approached her. She felt so nervous, her hands are sweating and heart is beating fast . At first, Nathan was so shy but Maxine’s friends called him to join on their group. Greetings, stories, apologies and laughter made up their night. She also found out that Nathan had to take a board exam before becoming a full -fledged police officer. On Maxine’s side , it was countless times how she miss to be loved because during the times when she wanted to have a boyfriend she always end up with the wrong people. Filled with bullying and screaming because of the temptation of two of its friends. And finally, Nathan whispered to Maxine “I'm here, I'm your last. Even if some trials and errors come, expect us to deal with it together. ”

Voice of an Angel

Voice of an Angel offers a story about a man who can’t be faithful to his wife because his heart was still belongs to his past and for you to discover what’s behind the mysterious telephone.

Nathan enter the church knowing he doesn’t want to be there but he had no choice. It was a long years in the making when he and her ex girlfriend talked about their dream wedding and future plans but it will never going to happen.

Now that he’s walking in the aisle, he wants to back out . His legs are shaking and his tears wants to burst out .

The moment that he realized that he will going to marry a woman that he doesn’t love. A fixed marriage was settled by their parents because both of their parents are business partners of an exclusive company.

The door opened and Sophia entered the church with a glamorous white wedding dress .

Music started , Nathan was the one who chose the song of “Beautiful in white “ by Westlife . It used to be the theme song of him and his ex- girlfriend.

“So as long as I live I'll love you

Will have and hold you

You look so beautiful in white

And from now to my very last breath

This day I'll cherish

You look so beautiful in white”

While Nathan was standing at the front of the altar, he certainly imagined for a moment that the girl who’s walking in the aisle is his ex-girlfriend, Celestine. But he’d always known that they could never be together again.

"I, Nathan Montefalco , take thee, Sophia Reyes, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith. “

Nathan’s heart is beating rapidly . He tried to calm himself but the tears kept falling.

They exchanged wedding rings and Nathan can’t kiss the bride but he has to do it.

After the ceremony, people threw confetti and wishes to the newly wed.

Little did he know Celestine was there witnessing the wedding of the man she loved from the start. She wished with all her heart that she was strong enough to let him go.

Watching someone you truly love exchanging vows to someone was the most painful thing you could ever experience.

She want to believe that this was for the best but tears rolled down her face.

After the celebration, he doesn’t have any idea or news about Celestine.

Everything’s went well for months and years because they were supported by their parents financially but money has nothing to do when you’re not happy.

He felt like he was stuck to a girl that he doesn’t want for the rest of his life.

Until one night, Nathan received a call from their telephone. Sophia was there when he answered the call but it seems like there’s nobody on the other line so they ended it.

While Sophia was sleeping, there’s a call from their old telephone again .

“Hello, Mr. Montefalco .”

He heard a familiar voice . A very angelic voice that every single word that comes out from the other line can touch your heart.

He can’t forget that voice and he will never forget it.

“Ce … Celestine ?” He’s stuttering because he never expected that he will have a communication again to his only love after a few years.

“Yes I am, have you forgotten me already?”

“No and I will never forget that angelic voice of yours , honey.”

“It’s been a few years but you still haven’t changed.”

“My love for you will never change.”

“You are married now and I have nothing to do with it. “

“I can file an annulment honey , just tell me honestly where you at.”

“No, no, I’m fine. “

“5 years Celestine ! I searched for you for about 5 years. I miss you so much.”

“I miss you too , Mr. Montefalco.”

“Before I got married, all I think about is you. I wished you were the one who’s walking from the church’s door towards me . I imagined how beautiful you are wearing an elegant wedding gown because that’s what we planned to .”

Nathan wiped his tears while remembering how much he suffered during the fixed wedding of him and Sophia.

“Yes, honey. I can feel the pain in your eyes while watching you marrying to someone . That day was the most unforgettable day in my entire life. Your blue suit fits perfectly to you by the way.”

“Wh… wh… what ? You went on my wedding? What do you mean ? “

Nathan is wondering too why Celestine knew what he was wearing that day.

“Yes , I am. Your wedding day was supposed to be our wedding date when we were planning together. All the designs and all our wedding plans were the same .”

“I did that for a purpose because I want to feel that I am marrying you.”

“Aww Mr. Montefalco you’re breaking my heart and as well as my dreams into broken pieces. I’m looking forward to have a happy family with you and our baby but it was all never going to happen and oh, by the way I need to go.”

“Wait , what baby are you talking about? Celestine ! Celestine !”

The call hanged up.

He tried to call the number but it was unreachable.

Sophia shouted loudly while crying and Nathan rushed to her.

Eventually, Sophia had a nightmare and she said that there’s a girl wearing a white wedding dress with blood at the part of her stomach always appears on her dreams.

Nathan tried to hug Sophia to calm her down and to comfort her that it was just a bad dream.

The next night, he fixed the old telephone again at their abandoned room so Sophia won’t hear them talking and he patiently waited until midnight if Celestine will call him again.

At exactly 3 o’clock in the morning , the telephone rang loudly which caused Sophia to wake up.

“Honey, why you calling me so late ?”

“It’s hard to talk to you right now, I think Sophia was awake.”

“She’s in the next room, don’t worry.”

Lines of Nathan from abandoned room little did he know that Sophia was standing right beside the door .

“I miss you , your voice makes me weak.”

“It’s really good to hear your voice again it sounds so angelic and sweet.”

“My Celestine, you made me so hard to be faithful.”

“We never really move on there’s something changed but you stayed at my heart always and you know that ! Yes, we are going to be happy family with our baby. “

Sophia couldn’t explain how painful it was hearing those lines but one thing for sure, it crashes her little by little . She can’t cry loudly because Nathan might hear her.

She just sat down at the doorway and keep questioning herself what does Celestine have that she doesn’t have. She did everything to make him happy but it wasn’t good enough.

“She has no idea that I was talking to you every night since then .”

“I can’t believe you’re still mine .”

“I love you so much and no one can replace you, honey.”

Nathan keeps talking while Sophia no longer endured the pain. She opened the door and she burst out .

“Stop your craziness! Celestine has been dead for five years ! Why can’t you accept that ! “ She shouted while crying.

“You are insane ! You must be the one to stop ! I won’t believe you ! Celestine still call me every night ! “ Nathan defend himself

“It’s all in your mind ! I am your wife ! We made vows to church !”

“We are married but I didn’t love you and I will never love someone the way I loved Celestine !”

“Celestine is dead and she will never come back ! “

“I won’t believe you ! Get out of my life ! “ Nathan shouted.

“I bet you still don’t know what happened ! Celestine forced herself to abort your baby ! She died due to overdose of medication. She was found dead at her room a day after our wedding ! Now tell me do you still love her ? “

“No ! No ! No ! Celestine won’t do that ! I will go wherever Celestine is. I will going to find her ! “ Nathan keeps defending Celestine.

Sophia can’t take it anymore so she fixed her things, fixed her papers and she drove hundred kilometers away . She look a stress free place where she can breathe out all the pain.

After that incident, Nathan was reported died because of suicide with a note underneath the telephone.

“I will go with you forever , my Celestine. Till death do us part.”

After three years, Sophia find herself again . She became an professor to a famous university on their country.

She found her happiness too when she met Alejandro , her co-professor at the same university.

She believed he’s the one for her .

Alejandro was the type of a guy that can ride on your trips.

They traveled a lot and enjoyed each other’s company. Road trip, travel to other countries , checking their bucket lists and trying new things are the things they do.

One of their plans is to explore different countries every year. They are together for almost two years.

Every thing seems to be perfect . Not until one night, Sophia heard Alejandro inside their abandoned room . She went to the room silently to see what Alejandro was doing .

She was shocked, her nerves tightened and her knees weakened when she saw Alejandro handling their old telephone and he said ..

“HONEY, WHY YOU CALLING ME SO LATE ? “

BREAKING THE STIGMA IN PAGEANTRY -

Winning a pageant is not all about the cheers of people. Winning is not all about the waving of hands, not the awarding of sashes, and absolutely not wearing of crown. It is more than that. To be a title holder is not easy as it seems, you have to be the very best in whatever you do and achieving the crown is not just being the fairest of them all. It takes time to wait, to be smiled and to be spotlighted. Sometimes , our mind says stop but our heart wants to continue . We need to have enough courage and strength because it is us who determine when we will shine in God’s Grace.

Growing up with this chubby body has been a struggle for me before , but now I learned to accept who I really are . I want to empower women that beauty is not all about your physical appearance but it is all about how you believe in yourself because that’s the key for you to show what you got . I want to raise my advocacy which is “Fight against body shaming” to break the stigma that you need to be sexy or thin to fit in a pageantry. I just use all the judgements thrown at me as my strength to uplift myself and to remind that nobody can drag me down. I have learned that if we really wants something , we need to strive hard to achieve it. There will be many struggles but we should never take them as a sign to quit. Instead, as an opportunities to prove ourselves once more and to become much better and stronger.

Ms. College of Arts and Science helped me to discover and create the person I was meant to be but I know that I could have not done this without the people behind my success. I truly thank our Heavenly Father for all the blessing he showered upon me. It is truly a blessing and a priceless experience that I will always treasure as I continue my journey in this lifetime. During the preliminary competition , some people compare me to my co-candidates. They said that I need to be like thin and sexy but now, I realized that I don’t need to be like them because I do believe in myself that I don’t need to be skinny to accept by the society .

Many girls out there are too afraid to show who they really are because they too scared to be judged. I want to be an inspiration to my fellow women to embrace their flaws and show what we really got.
