Good thought, but I actually didn't forget Wire! I just don't think we have enough concrete evidence to say that Wire and Bigtop Burger are directly related.

Obviously, they share the theme of "Clowns vs. Vampire/Zombie-type monsters," but personally I think that the type of clown we see in Wire is distinct from the type of clown that Steve is.

The clowns on Steve's home planet all have vertical stripes over their eyes, all the time, even when wearing stage makeup for Cats.

Meanwhile, the clowns in Wire don't have these stripes! They're also all blonde, as opposed to the clowns on Steve's planet who all have red hair.

I do love Wire a lot and I think it's totally something you should watch if you like BTB, but there's my reason for not including it on the list of "things Bigtop Burger directly references"!
