Pushing Daisies AU where Nancy finds out she can bring back the dead because Barb dies.
She finds out that it isn’t permanent because a moment later Nancy pulls her into a relieved hug and Barb immediately dies again.
Hopper enlists her help in his investigations. She’s able to temporarily bring back the dead in the morgue, long enough for Hopper to question them, and then let them be at peace.
It’s not unusual to be called to the morgue. She’s desensitised to it by now and it helps to know that she’s helping get justice.
Until the day she’s called to the morgue and finds herself staring down at Robin’s body.
