“The museum was built to create a sense of affinity and connection to our beloved constituents.  I believe that in order to define our future we should review our past.” said by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian during the inauguration day of the Valenzuela City museum in the city hall.

Museums are practically built to reminisce things, events, people who contributed to the history of a certain place.

Website
Before visiting the museum, the wondrous blog partners first check the Valenzuela City site for brief information. The Valenzuela City museum in city hall was the last project made under the administration of Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian last June 2013. This museum was one of the two museums in Valenzuela; the other one was located in Marulas Valenzuela. To commemorate the history of the city from being a pueblo that was part of the province of Bulacan up to being one of the most highly urbanized cities in the country.

Location
It is very convenient to visit the Valenzuela City museum because it is located inside the city hall at McArthur Highway, Malinta, Valenzuela City wherein many people could pass by while waiting for their transactions to finish just like what the one we interviewed, Sir Allan from Balangkas is accompanied by his friend Sir Bobby who came to visit the museum all the way from Nueva Ecija. They paid a visit in the museum because they are getting their business permit. As for the safety and security inside the museum, it is very safe to roam around because it is inside the city hall which has a good security system and there is CCTV cameras all over the vicinity.

Organization
The museum is not so well organized because some of its content specifically the statue of Our Lady of Fatima in the industrialization section as well as the water pump seems to be lost connection with its surrounding. It also lacks information why was that specific objects was placed in that section. Another thing that confused us was the list of the world war heroes, because they lack informations about what really happened during this event. And lastly, the organizational chart of the present leaders of the city has no identification. We just noticed that section because we have a co-visitor of the museum that was confused about that organizational chart the man actually says "Sino ba itong mga taong ito?" Luckily his companion knew who are those people and she simply replied "sila yung namumuno ngayon sa Valenzuela"

Architectural structure and Ambiance
It has an excellent architectural design. In just a 300 square meters area they come up with this kind of idea of having a museum inside the city hall. As for its ambiance it is very cozy and comfortable to wander around. The museum is not just attractive because of its color combinations but also you can feel very at home with its welcoming ambiance.

Content
It is the most important part of a review. The content of Valenzuela city museum is very informative, it tackles the history of the Valenzuela. On the left side of the entrance you can see the tektites and obsidians discovered by Henry Otley Beyer that landed on the vicinity of Barangay Gen. T. De Leon (originally known as Pugad Baboy) while on the other side is the section of the pre-colonial period, wherein it features the old map of Polo. As you explore further in the museum you can see the different colonial eras that Valenzuela have gone through. Each colonial periods states the generalize information about that certain era. The Spanish period section features the history of the Pueblo de Polo and the rise of Christianity in the region and you can also see the three life-size statues of Dr. Pio Valenzuela, Captain Delfin Velilla and Gen Tiburcio de Leon they are the local patriots of Valenzuela who fought for our freedom against the Spaniards. In the American period section, you can see a replica of an Arkong Bato, which was built in 1910. According to the staff that we interviewed, the replica of the Arkong Bato in the museum serves as the entry to the American and Japanese period. Aside from those sections it also cites some replicas of the record book, documents and old photographs of the attack on BBB up until the industrialization happened wherein Valenzuela became a city of its own in the modern era section of the Valenzuela City museum. Above all those informative backgrounds you can easily noticed that this museum truly gave emphasis and importance regarding the use of our own language, which is the Filipino language, and they use English as the second language.

Valenzuela City
Valenzuela City truly became one of the highly urbanized cities in the country. it became very obvious through this kind of projects, it reflects not only the city’s good image but also it serves as a mark of having good governance. Contrary with these positive aspects, there are some areas that are still lacking such as the following: absence of signage, because if you want to visit the museum and you don’t really know the exact location of it, it will be very confusing and also if you are just merely walking along its vicinity you will never be aware of the existence of the museum inside the city hall. Another thing that is still lacking is the absence of guide map in the entrance of the museum. Guide maps are very important because it helps the visitors to know the flow, organization and the connection of the contents of the museum to one another. But for the over all judgment, we could honestly say that our museum journey is way beyond our expectations.
