Let's Get Started! Part 2

[so sorry for the long wait, my life kinda spiraled-but anyways onto the lore!!!]

When Frisk finally catches up to Annoying Dog, the letter is destroyed and they have to use tape to try and peace the letter back together. With the help of Alphys, their next door neighbor, they are able to figure out what it says! Basically to sum up the whole letter, "This city was only built to last 500 years. By the time 500 years has passed the world above should be safe to venture though. Good luck" Of course Frisk goes to tell their trusted friend/mentor, Sans, alllll about the weird letter! [Sans is a Messenger who quite likes his old, yet loved, standard red coat and enjoys his job of delivering letters to people in the underground.] After hearing about a possibility of more food, and a better place to live, for his brother Papyrus he instantly accepts and the plot snowballs from there!

Meanwhile on the surface, a small town resides a few miles away from the mountain. They had rebuilt themselves from the ashes of humanity and created a new community that would welcome new members with open arms! The second protagonist, Chara, lives in a small house at the very edge of town surrounded by the thick trees of the forest. They grew up in another town an orphan, scorned by the towns folk for their red eyes and weird habits, so they ran away! They entered this town silently, and lived very quietly until Frisk, and a few others [Those being Sans, Papyrus, Toriel, and Asriel], who interrupted their somewhat peaceful life. Frisk and Chara don't quite get along at first, both being put a little off guard at how similar they look to each other. Same hair and same eyes might be a little weird, but same scars and missing teeth? That's a little weird. It was like looking into a mirror, but not quite. It takes a bit for them to become friends but once they do they got along well! Chara befriends Asriel first, Toriel second, Sans and Papyrus, and then Frisk. Once they become friends then the rest of the underground, the ones brave enough to at least, surfaces and then joins the little town. Thought not all want to welcome these odd strangers. The town then becomes split into two parts, Underground and Overworld. The two parts are constantly fighting, from the best food to even the 'correct' way to make something. They only unite once a third party tries to take out the town. But that'd be explained later! Let's get started! Part 1

Content warnings/Trigger warnings: Brief mentions of an Apocalypse, mentions of bombs, and also death.

The Au starts like any other, humans and monsters living hand in hand in peace and all that. Well in the year 200X things kinda went to sh*t. The resources were being used up, peace treaties were falling apart, and worst of all, all their tech kept malfunctioning. So everyone decided to pull everything they had together and make an underground city for when all their bombs eventually went off. of course there were groups of monsters/humans who survived the fallout and then re-made the world with a trading system. Now for the city; the city is built for 400 people in total, 200 are humans and 200 are monsters, and it was only built to last 500 years. Like the book they had a box set to open on the 182,625th day [That's how many days are approximately in 500 years btw!] However the box got lost during the 206th year underground and ended up in an old antique shop, that Toriel owns, and later purchased by Frisk's Grandmother three weeks before it opens. However Frisk's Grandmother passes, peacefully in her sleep, a few days before their birthday so they weren't given the box. They only find the box when Annoying Dog runs away with it and tears up the letter before Frisk can read it. Hello! This is my new blog to talk/info dump about my Undertale AU; Under-City. This Au is based on the City of Ember books. If you don't know what that is, it's a book series based on a bunch of people living underground because of a nuclear disaster that happened years ago but it's been so long they don't remember why they are underground! That's what my Au is based on, where Frisk is working as a "mail carrier "Messenger" with Sans who's also trying to get out.

I'll go more into details later but it's nice to meet you! Thank you for checking out my blog!
